Tidy Plates: Threat Plates - Version 8.4

About:
Tidy Plates: Threat Plates (TPTP for short) is a theme for use with Tidy Plates with patch 5.0.4 or later WoW client. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.
Features:
  • SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.
  • Ace3 profiling.
  • Low memory footprint.
  • Threat system management.
  • Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.
  • Customizable widgets.
  • Customizable totem nameplates.
  • Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.
Commands:
  • /tptp - Displays options.
  • /tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.
  • /tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.
  • /tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.
  • /tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.
  • /tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.
Additional Information:
A considerable amount of information about options and its internal priorities are not gone into details. Most options that are enable or disable based will toggle off options that are no longer changeable once enabled or disabled. If you have any questions about options and what they do, feel free to leave a comment or PM me here for more information.

Re: Re: Re: Raid Icons

Great to hear that you could solve it. Do you think that the configuration in that area could be improved to prevent such misunderstanding in the future?

Hi pinmouse. I cannot reproduce this behavior. I just checked it with 8.1.3: for me, raid marks are shown on hostile and friendly nameplates in combat.

You did see the mark out of combat, right? It just disappears when you enter combat? The nameplate as well or only the mark?

As you said, raid marks are enabled in Namplate Settings - Raid Marks. The positioning (x/y) does not put the mark out of the visible area?

Another thing is just checked: you can set an alpha value for marked units. If it is set to 0, you won't see the nameplate and the mark. Though, you shouldn't see it out of combat as well.
It was the alpha thing. I checked to use it and then they showed up. Thanks!

Hi Yshaarj, there was similar request on the CurseForge page. I made the requested feature available in the recent version 8.1.1 (although it could also be considered a bug fix as coloring priorities were a bit unclear based on the options dialog). If you have a little experience in programming, you could copy the relevant lines from version 8.1.1 into the version you use.

Hi Yshaarj,

I sadly can't help you with this one I think. I just took over the development of Threat Plates, so I have not real knowledge of the features available in previous versions (e.g. 4.3.4).

The only thing I can think of is Nameplate Setings - HP Bar (or somthing like that as I am using a German client). There, you can change the HP color based on friendly/hostile. But I do not how that interacts with threat colors.

I will post future alpha and beta version only on the Threat Plates CurseForge page. Releases will also be posted on this site.

Edit: Apparently only happens with the beta of Tidyplates. Release version works fine.
I have 6.18.Beta21 installed here which is oddly enough flagged as Release on Curse. Which version did you use that resulted in the error?

That's a new one. Could you please post the lua error message?

Cannot configure

Cannot open /TPTP to config. I'm told that TPTP is not registered in the ace config registry.
Edit: Apparently only happens with the beta of Tidyplates. Release version works fine.

The above problem should be gone with the new fix. Changes should now be again instant for everything headline-view related.
The latest update fixed my LUA error issues as well, thank you so much!

Is the nameplate of your target still showing or does it disapear as well?

I think it's a configuration issue. I had that as well when testing stuff regarding nameplate fading and setting the alpha to different values. Just not sure which set of configuration settings could be the issue.
Plates does not appear, it was just an empty space instead.

Yeah, it's version Beta21 that broke headline-view, basically the configuration for it.

Here's a basic fix: http://www.file-upload.net/download-...w-Fix.zip.html
You have to make changes to the TidyPlatesHub options and press OK to make them show/work. The change is no longer instant. I have to dig deeper into the TidyPlatesHub panel dialog to find out why it's not working this way.
