Tidy Plates: Threat Plates - Version 8.3

About:
Tidy Plates: Threat Plates (TPTP for short) is a theme for use with Tidy Plates with patch 5.0.4 or later WoW client. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.
Features:
  • SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.
  • Ace3 profiling.
  • Low memory footprint.
  • Threat system management.
  • Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.
  • Customizable widgets.
  • Customizable totem nameplates.
  • Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.
Commands:
  • /tptp - Displays options.
  • /tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.
  • /tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.
  • /tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.
  • /tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.
  • /tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.
Additional Information:
A considerable amount of information about options and its internal priorities are not gone into details. Most options that are enable or disable based will toggle off options that are no longer changeable once enabled or disabled. If you have any questions about options and what they do, feel free to leave a comment or PM me here for more information.

Debuff Widget

Hey.

I've been using Threat Plates on my toons for a long time now. My main is a tank and, tbh, AOE tanking without this mod feels like trying to tank with yer arms chopped off.

Anyhoo. This new debuff widget functionality is great for my mage alt and Living Bomb tracking. I don't really want/need to track any of the other debuffs and things can get a bit cluttered up there with the number of debuffs a Fire/TTW mage can stack on a target. Any chance you could include the option to whitelist and/or blacklist debuffs at some point?

Either way, thanks for a great mod. Love it.

Is there a way to disable specialized nameplates altogether or at least have the non-target alpha apply to them?

EDIT: I'd really appreciate the answer for this... its screwing me up sometimes during raiding when I think one of the specialized nameplates is my target because their alpha is still 100% when it isn't targeted...

Can the casticon get its border removed in the same way as the totem icons?

Also, I think the option to show class debuffs on nameplates is really interesting, and I'd like to point out that its possible to get info about a targets debuffs just by mousing over them, instead of having to target an enemy to see their debuffs. An addon called DoTimer already has that option, so you can probably just copy and paste the code from them.
Class color is only displayed on pvp hostile players.

The debuff widget is intended to be simplistic. You can almost never "copy paste" code from one addon to another without some level of rewriting or even getting practical use from one to the other.

Maybe I'm blind...., but is there an option to disable the coloring of the hpbar based on the raid target mark? I color the bar based on threat, and that's really causing me problems

NVM: while writing this I tried "/run TidyPlatesThreat.db.profile.settings.raidicon.hpColor = false" and that takes care of my issue. An option in the UI for it would be nice though
NVM #2: Just read the comment on the main addon page about the addition of the raid target coloring and the lack of options at this time...

Another issue I seem to have is the highlight frame. In order to have it visible during combat I need to bring the frame level up to 20-something, but I also have my raid mark positioned to be centered on the left edge of the bar and with the frame strata of the highlight frame that high, it goes over the raid mark.
Maybe bump up the strata of the raid mark? Or give us an option to change it like the highlight frame/elite marker?

And thanks for all the work you're putting into this.

Basically it seems everything within nameplate range (seems ike 35 yards) is having their names removed, but nameplates are only showing for stuff thats actually in combat with me. Some alpha settings gone bad?
