Tidy Plates: Threat Plates - Version 8.2

About:
Tidy Plates: Threat Plates (TPTP for short) is a theme for use with Tidy Plates with patch 5.0.4 or later WoW client. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.
Features:
  • SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.
  • Ace3 profiling.
  • Low memory footprint.
  • Threat system management.
  • Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.
  • Customizable widgets.
  • Customizable totem nameplates.
  • Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.
Commands:
  • /tptp - Displays options.
  • /tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.
  • /tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.
  • /tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.
  • /tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.
  • /tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.
Additional Information:
A considerable amount of information about options and its internal priorities are not gone into details. Most options that are enable or disable based will toggle off options that are no longer changeable once enabled or disabled. If you have any questions about options and what they do, feel free to leave a comment or PM me here for more information.

Strange periwinkle color on the plates. Issues with color coding during threat and also with possessed players.

Debuff Widget not functioning with the tray over the plates on mouseovers, or on selected targets. This is dealing with themes. The old Threatplate theme utilized the debuff widget plus the target highlighting. It only uses target highlighting now.

<edit>
Found the missing connection for the Threatplate Theme and debuff tray + target highlights. Settings in two different menus. Tidy Plates Hub Dam: and Tidy Plates: Threatplates config.

I just updated both tidy and thread but it seems like when i log in it says threatplates but its seems to only be using the default thing...

Do I need to do anything to make threatplates work again or active ?

thanks

Thanks so much. Do what ya can, we can be patient.
From what I can tell there are no issues within Threat Plates and it is solely Tidy Plates interaction and internal errors as of this moment.

There is an issue with the method that Tidy Plates is determining if a nameplate is indeed a nameplate. So it attempts to skin a non-nameplate frame and causes issues.

Is there a way to set custom colors for only friendly nameplates and keep enemy nameplates class colored?

actually the problem on amber shaper is it marks your ENTIRE raid as hostile when you enter a vehicle on fight, so you just get hostile name plates for 25 raid members, all their pet, totems, and guardians. and then a bunch of boss adds other constucts and two boss targets to boot. point being. you have about 50 nameplates on screen at once. my code plan was to have dbm go "hey you jumped in a vehicle lets turn off "normal" nameplates so all that's left are the now neutral boss/elite plates.

i figured it out though and edited post below so i'm working on something now.

EDIT
and all done
http://pastebin.com/VK1xcWCK

Now i can just pull the boss and not have to worry about that "oh crap i forgot to fix nameplates" situation where i have to fumble with it in combat.

i see the code for the config options here

Code:
							Hiding = {
									name = L["Hiding"],
									type = "group",
									order = 1,
									inline = true,
									args = {
										ShowNeutral = {
											type = "toggle",
											order = 1,
											name = L["Show Neutral"],
											get = GetToggleNameplate,
											set = SetToggleNameplate,
											arg = "Neutral",
										},
										ShowNormal = {
											type = "toggle",
											order = 2,
											name = L["Show Normal"],
											get = GetToggleNameplate,
											set = SetToggleNameplate,
											arg = "Normal",
										},
										ShowElite = {
											type = "toggle",
											order = 3,
											name = L["Show Elite"],
											get = GetToggleNameplate,
											set = SetToggleNameplate,
											arg = "Elite",
										},
										ShowBoss = {
											type = "toggle",
											order = 4,
											name = L["Show Boss"],
											get = GetToggleNameplate,
											set = SetToggleNameplate,
											arg = "Boss",
										},
									},
								},
but i can't find where to actually call them in another mod. For example. amber shaper unsok is a royal bitch to do with "show normal" enabled so i want to code an option into dbm where if threat plates is installed, the mod can have a feature to auto disable "show normal" on pull and re-enable it on end combat. I can eaisly do this already with blizz options cause you also want to disable totems, guardians and pets, but accessing the hiding code in TPTP i can't see a way unless i'm just blind and not seeing it.
Is there a specific mob name you can simply make a custom nameplate for?

EDIT, nevermind, found it. it was just fail on my part.

if TidyPlatesThreat.db.profile.nameplate.toggle["Normal"] then
TidyPlatesThreat.db.profile.nameplate.toggle["Normal"] = not TidyPlatesThreat.db.profile.nameplate.toggle["Normal"]
end

I'm back in the nameplates hunt and I was wondering if you plan on supporting the "Headline Mode" that the standard Tidy Plates have? Unless you already do and I'm missing the option!

For some reason when I use custom nameplates, the name plate doesn't show up for that target.

I found out when I used custom nameplates for the stone guardians, the name plates didn't come back when they went off screen. So there is a bug with custom nameplates and when the plates go off screen.

I can't even use this feature at all atm cause I lose plates.

Update: I found the problem to be linked disable custom alpha. If I uncheck this it works fine.

I originally wanted to have options for that and had the textures and everything ready to go, even the options made, but for some reason Tidy Plates wouldn't change the texture… Perhaps that's fixed now, Ill check later tonight.
