Tidy Plates: Threat Plates - Version 8.4

About:
Tidy Plates: Threat Plates (TPTP for short) is a theme for use with Tidy Plates with patch 5.0.4 or later WoW client. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.
Features:
  • SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.
  • Ace3 profiling.
  • Low memory footprint.
  • Threat system management.
  • Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.
  • Customizable widgets.
  • Customizable totem nameplates.
  • Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.
Commands:
  • /tptp - Displays options.
  • /tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.
  • /tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.
  • /tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.
  • /tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.
  • /tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.
Additional Information:
A considerable amount of information about options and its internal priorities are not gone into details. Most options that are enable or disable based will toggle off options that are no longer changeable once enabled or disabled. If you have any questions about options and what they do, feel free to leave a comment or PM me here for more information.

Any ideas how to change the background alpha/color of the health bar? When the target is not on full hp the almost transparent background makes it harder to see, I wanna make it darker and less transparent but there doesnt seem to be any option like that. Any clues or suggestions?

Re: 4.2 Bug

I'm not on the PTR at the mo. You'll have to "w8" a little more ;-)

The debuff widget is provided by Tidy Plates not Threat Plates.

Thanks for the reply. I meant decimal percent hp, sorry I was not more specific. Is this actually supported and I missed it? Since my UI just shows it now since I modified Threat Plates.

Thanks again.

Here you'll see all of the alpha function that I currently use for all the nameplates.

Change line 41 from this:
Code:
if T then return (db.nameplate.alpha[T] + nonTargetAlpha), db.blizzFade.toggle else return 1 end
to this:
Code:
if T then
	if T == "Totem" then
		return 1
	else
		return (db.nameplate.alpha[T] + nonTargetAlpha), db.blizzFade.toggle
	end
else
	return 1
end
This should do it, but I haven't tested.
With my previous code addition included, it made no difference and made all totems 30% despite my config for which to show/hide.

With my code addition commented out, it behaved like normal and would be 100% with no target, and 30% with a target.

My code addition was put between line 10 and 11, if that matters at all.

My goal is to make the totems I choose to show 100% at all times no matter what, totems I choose to hide at 0% at all times, and then the default alpha for all non-totems set to 30% with or without a target selected, and ONLY my target ever at 100%. Not sure if it's possible, but would be awesome if there's a way.

Thanks a bunch for the reply. ^^

Re: Nameplates 'blinking'

Hi suicidalkatt, I'm having some issues with nameplates blinking (disappearing for a fraction of a second then reappearing) when changing stances, even if it's just between battle/berserker. Disabling stances fixes the issue.
Is this something you could fix?

Also, currently there is no option to show decimal hp, though this is extremely useful as many boss fights these days transition at a decimal hp point (25.5 75.5 etc). Would you like to add support to decimal hp display?

Thanks.
The stancing / blinking is caused by me having to force update through TidyPlates:ForceUpdate()

If I don't do this action the theme won't update.

There is an option for decimal HP, it's the "Truncate" hp option.

Hi,

I added this line of code to alpha.lua:

Code:
TidyPlatesThemeList["Threat Plates"].SetAlpha = function(unit) if unit.isTarget then return 1 else return .3 end end
To set the DEFAULT transparency to 30%, instead of just when I have a target selected. It works great, but it overrides the alpha settings you use to hide certain totems.

Could you please consider adding a way to set the default alpha, or tell me how I could modify my code addition to exclude totems? Thanks!

Edit: If there was a way to keep my code addition but make totems 1.0 alpha that would be even better.
