Tidy Plates: Threat Plates

About:
Tidy Plates: Threat Plates (TPTP for short) is a theme for use with Tidy Plates with patch 5.0.4 or later WoW client. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.
Features:
  • SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.
  • Ace3 profiling.
  • Low memory footprint.
  • Threat system management.
  • Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.
  • Customizable widgets.
  • Customizable totem nameplates.
  • Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.
Commands:
  • /tptp - Displays options.
  • /tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.
  • /tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.
  • /tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.
  • /tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.
  • /tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.
Additional Information:
A considerable amount of information about options and its internal priorities are not gone into details. Most options that are enable or disable based will toggle off options that are no longer changeable once enabled or disabled. If you have any questions about options and what they do, feel free to leave a comment or PM me here for more information.

In the same area there should be a "allow friendly class caching" or somethign of that nature.

This will save people you mouse over's class info until log out or zone change(load screen).

Nah it's my error.

I'm in a dire need to redo most of threat plates coding.

It was my project as I learned the majority of my Lua experience.

Is there a way to have friendly nameplates enabled, but

- hide the friendly npc's bar and border texture (so you basically only see the text)
- if above is not possible: change the green color to something different, because the green hurts my eyes

I there,

I just want to talk about an issue I got with TP:Threat Plates Beta.

In fact, as I activate nameplatesby tiping "V" or "Shift+V", it makes my game totally laguy.

If I use another Tidy Plates theme like Neon or Grey, it doesn't happend so...

Any idea ?

Quest

Feature request:

I dont even know if this is possible, but sure hope it is:

You know with the new patch if you are on a quest and have name plates turned off. You see the mob names in red over the mobs that you have to kill or loot for a given quest (blizzard feature, quest mobs) and the non-quest mobs dont show any thing. This help a lot not having to kill unnecessary mobs.

However with plates turned on (be it treat plates or other), all mobs (who are in range) get plates over their heads.

I was wondering if it was possible for you on the long run to implement a feature (probably under special nameplates) to have some king of icon or different coloring or border or something else unique in the name plates of mobs that are for quest objective.

I will post picture to illustrate what I mean:

Compatiblity with FindTheHealers

Hello

1) would there be any possibility of adding compability feature with
FTH http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-a...hehealers.aspx
or implementing a similar feature?

and

2) in standard Grey style for TidyPlates in tank mode whenever I mouseover a nameplate I can see the name of the person holding aggro on it - it allows me to decide whether I should switch targets and taunt or should I let the other tank hold onto it... today I did 11/12 ICC and I cannot be sure but I think this option was not there... would it be possible to implement it? (or tell me I am wrong and blind)

Slightly Overlapping Nameplates

Hi first of all I want to say thanks for this great add-on and for all the work you have put into it. Even since the patch I have noticed my nameplates overlapping during times when multiple mob are on the screen. They don't fully overlap but the text and sometimes the main bar overlap. I was just wondering if this was happening for anyone else or if this was something being looked into.

Thanks again and great add-on

I love the look of these frames, but theres one option I can't seem to find - on the castbar, is there the ability to display the cast time of the spell?
Due to the way the cast bar is made, the text on the cast doesn't update regularly to show the cast time. It's a limitation with Tidy Plates that I've currently not found a way to overcome.

I'll probably end up making a widget for it.
