Threat Plates - Version 8.7

Battle for Azeroth Beta:
You can find a working version of Threat Plates for BfA Beta here.

About:
Threat Plates (TPTP for short) is a addon for customizing your nameplates. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.

Starting with version 8.6.0, Threat Plates now is a standalone addon that no longer requires TidyPlates. Please enable only one of these two nameplate addons, otherwise two overlapping nameplates will be shown for units.
Features:
  • SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.
  • Ace3 profiling.
  • Low memory footprint.
  • Threat system management.
  • Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.
  • Customizable widgets.
  • Customizable totem nameplates.
  • Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.
Commands:
  • /tptp - Displays options.
  • /tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.
  • /tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.
  • /tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.
  • /tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.
  • /tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.
Additional Information:
A considerable amount of information about options and its internal priorities are not gone into details. Most options that are enable or disable based will toggle off options that are no longer changeable once enabled or disabled. If you have any questions about options and what they do, feel free to leave a comment or PM me here for more information.

Hello
Can I do it. What would a debuff from a Living bomb to be displayed if I hang it through the mouseover? Now I see the debuff if I choose a goal and hang a living bomb.

Is there a way to hide the health portion of a friendly players nameplate? I like seeing their name but dont need to see their health.

Also, non-target alpha gets ignored as soon as you dont have a target (all nameplates go back to 100%). Is there a way of setting a target alpha (regardless of what that may be), so I can then lower all the rest to say 75% and that way all nameplates will be 75% alpha except for whatever im targeting?

Finally, I cant see the nameplates on horde characters. Friendly and NPCs work fine, but horde dont show up. I have enemy units checked under interface/names/unit nameplates.

Ah ok that would be a problem. Thanks for letting me know.

I stopped playing my tank for a while and i just noticed it stopped working. You said its in the text options but i cant find anything related to it. "Name Text" only edits the mob's name.

Whats the Green-Yellow-Red bar for? and how do I turn it off? it overlaps the cast bar, and is distracting.

also, is there a guide explaining what each option does? I cant work out what some of them do.

Is there any way to increase the size of the cast bar? even its just editing a texture it would be good. Saw a huge plate cast bar on a Tankspot LK vid, was great for spotting defile casts.
The current one seems to get buried behind the extra widgets.

There are multiple styles now for target textures and you can put a color you'd find more noticeable.

The on target fade is available under Nameplate Options > Nameplate Alpha.

Here you'll find a check box and a slider for adjusting.
Thanks for the quick reply!

The alpha-stuff is great and I'll definitely use that. However I can't seem to find the options for target textures. Unless you mean the ones under "Healthbar texture" (which doesn't seem to affect the highlight appearance)?

Hey! Love the addon, I use it on my dpsers and tanking chars.

There's one thing that I would love if you could change though, currently the targetting highlight is very small and not always that noticeable. Usually it's not a problem, but when you're on Blood Princes 25man heroic and you need to absolutely hit the right thing within milliseconds and cannot hit anything else, it sometimes is a bit difficult to see what is targetted and what isn't.

I would love to see some sort of feature to adjust how well you see what is targetted and what isn't. Like maybe fading out non-targetted plates or increasing the highlight box (I see there is a slider for this already but it doesn't appear to do anything).

Cheers,
Krof
