SBF is showing important debuffs, such as Shadow and Flame, Curse of the Elements, and Haunt... but due to the overlapping nature of the different durations it is very easy to lose track of the 3 DoT's that an Affliction lock needs to maintain on the target all the time. (Corruption, Unstable Affliction, and Bane of Agony.) Curse of the Elements is a 5 minute debuff that needs to be up. Shadow and Flame is a damage boosting debuff that is applied automatically by Shadow Bolt, and Haunt is another DoT that is applied on spell cooldown (8 seconds) rather than on DoT expiration (12 seconds).

So, it is still important to see all 6 of these debuffs, but only 3 of them truly need to be kept track of.

Keeping track of multiple targets is really just a bonus, not something that I, personally, really require. I do a fairly decent job of tabbing through my targets manually to see where a DoT needs to be refreshed.

Does that help answer your questions?

Maybe I'm just a bad warlock (switched my main to a lock with Cata, so I am new to it), but I'm definitely feeling the need to download other mods to fill the DoT tracking need.

I noticed that you have an IceHUD module setup to track Improved Soulfire (which Ghostcrawler said is going to be redesigned.. no idea what they have planned), but not any modules to track the debuffs. Perhaps modules to track the warlock dots on the target would be helpful. (Need to track: Corruption, Immolate, Unstable Affliction, Bane of Agony, Bane of Doom and possibly others. Might be too many options to need/want to keep track of for implementing into an IceHUD module.)

Currently I'm trying to stay minimalist with the addon I use to track my DoTs and I'm giving TellMeWhen a try. This will let me know when my current target is missing a DoT, but won't help me when there are multiple targets I've DoT'ed up.

Another option is ForteXorcist... but this mod is far, far, far from minimalist. It's config settings are quite intimidating and if poorly configured (or by using the default configuration) would take up a lot of screen real estate.

Love your work. I'd be glad to discuss ideas/options with you on improving the Warlock experience with RealUI. I've done some very minimal UI coding myself so I can at least find my way around LUA.

I would recommend this to use with SBF, which is called Power Auras (green indicating a link)

Two quick questions.

1) Is SBF showing too many debuffs, and/or showing debuffs that aren't your own that you don't need to see?
2) How important is keeping track of multiple target's debuffs versus just keeping track of your primary target's debuffs?

If not, then how about making your own? Just a thought.

OR you could use this: CT_BuffMod or Power Auras (which is a totally new concept for Buffs/Debuffs that I think you would like)

No suggestions Nib?

I dunno why, it just randomly screwed up on it's own. I didn't do anything to it, and there is nothing I forgot.

I'll do a fresh reinstall and see if that fixes it. Very weird the last few days, a lot of things that shouldn't be happening have been, not just with RealUI but with WoW in general. One of my main characters is stuck in a faze and the staff hasn't even replied to my ticket yet, ha ha! O_o

You were right Nib.... it was a WTF folder problem. It was probably due to me not doing what you said in the INSTALLATION file in the zip about the WoW folder being under Program Files. I moved it to C drive, and reinstalled the UI and everything is fine. Hopefully it stays that way. It also seemed to fix my lag issue as well, weird.
