Update thread - Some additional information about this update is available on the forums.




Installation / Updates

You won't need to rename any folders.
Installation is a simple 1-click install process.

New Installation / Minor (8.#) Update Procedure:
Step 1: Move your current WTF and Interface folders to a backup folder.

If you are updating, moving the WTF folder is not needed.

Step 2: Copy RealUI's Interface folder to your World of Warcraft folder.

You won't lose any of your settings when updating RealUI.
Visit the Change Log to find out what has changed.

Revision (r#) Update Procedure:
Step 1: Copy RealUI's Interface folder to your World of Warcraft folder.

Make sure to overwrite all existing files and folders.
You won't lose any of your settings when updating RealUI.
Visit the Change Log to find out which addons have been modified.

Note: If you are playing in an asian region or regularly interact with players who use asian glyphs, go to the "Other Files" page and download the files most applicable to your situation.

Does this happen naturally? If you happen to enter the "/sbf options" window, that will force the SBF bars into their saved position and out of the position that nibRealUI sticks them in. Next time you zone/log/reload the UI they will return to normal.

Well, unless you like Lua editing, I probably won't be able to get around to such a major change until the next version

Expand the "RealUI" options category
Choose "Frame/Addon Adjustments"

Hmm looks like the SatrinaBuffFrame's position is messed up for me, the ones one the sides are being seperated far away from the health bars. I manually pull them back together, just wanted to let you know

I stumbled on your ui which btw is great work but the only part i really wanted was the minimap very clean the way you have it. is there anyway to center it and move it to the bottom? looking to replace simpleminimap in my ui

I tried searching for an answer to this, but was unable to find one, so pardon me if it has been answered.

I wanted to change some of the layout for SBF and Omen, but whenever I log out, or /reloadui, they seem to revert to some strange stage. What settings would I need to fiddle with to stop this from happening? I assumed it is in the realui folders, but I have a slight terror of mucking it all up. Any help would be great! Thanks!

Well, that is most odd. May be that another addon is conflicting with it, changing it back to it's default position. You know what they say, if two wrongs don't make a right, try three! You could install the LFGMinimapFix addon and see if it corrects it

Nibelheim, just tried the latest available download. I think you left out the LFG map icon fix.

I also got a crash in the prior version. Many factors are involved so it might be a fluke: it happened at Wintergrasp, and I was using a Core Duo MacBook Pro.

Most of the positioning for those panels is done in the Scripts (OnEvent / OnUpdate). You'll need to find the line that deals with "SetPoint" and alter some values to suit.

The layout for the SetPoint function is as follows:
SetPoint(AnchorFrom, ParentPanel, AnchorTo, X offset, Y offset)

Right now they're anchored such that they start from the TopLeft/TopRight and move along the X axis. So changing the Anchors and switching movement from X axis to Y axis should do the trick.

You may also want to include a self:ClearAllPoints() right before the self:SetPoint line to make testing your new code easier.
