Update thread - Some additional information about this update is available on the forums.




Installation / Updates

You won't need to rename any folders.
Installation is a simple 1-click install process.

New Installation / Minor (8.#) Update Procedure:
Step 1: Move your current WTF and Interface folders to a backup folder.

If you are updating, moving the WTF folder is not needed.

Step 2: Copy RealUI's Interface folder to your World of Warcraft folder.

You won't lose any of your settings when updating RealUI.
Visit the Change Log to find out what has changed.

Revision (r#) Update Procedure:
Step 1: Copy RealUI's Interface folder to your World of Warcraft folder.

Make sure to overwrite all existing files and folders.
You won't lose any of your settings when updating RealUI.
Visit the Change Log to find out which addons have been modified.

Note: If you are playing in an asian region, go to the "Other Files" page and download the file best fitting your region.

hello 1st off its a great ui i love it

but that sayed im running into a little problem with my shaman
in the totem line i cant switch my totems around when im in combat.
example if i have a mana sprint totem placed and i want to replace that one with a healing spring totem i have to wait untill im out off combat

plz help...

For skinning, not really.

For alerts: /msbt > Triggers > Rune Strike

Skinning and alerts

Is there a way to skin, say, Trade Skill Master with Masque like you could with Skinner? I really enjoyed being able to have ALL my addons fit the look of your UI.

Also, is there a way to selectively turn off alerts? When I'm in Blood Presence I can Rune Strike whenever I have Runic Power, I don't need a large pop up distracting me in the middle of a fight every time I dodge or parry.

Edit: I have always shrunk my UI to the smallest possible allowance in the UI so that everything scales down together. I find a lot of the bars, alerts, icons etc to cover more of my screen then I'm comfortable with. I love the new look and all, but the very faded and sometimes ultra tiny text and frames/bars of the v6 setup was awesome. Any chance we could see a universal scaling option again? ( I'm using what RealUI calls the High Res profile and it's still 'huge'.)

If the Raid Size is set to 10-man, then Grid will only show 2 groups. It should show 5 groups once the Raid Size is set to 25-man.

Ok..something strange is going on with my grid (and no I haven't touched it, this is right "out-of-the-box) where I am only seeing 2 parties/groups in my grid, even though there are other groups in.

I've actually removed Aurora's skinning of Tooltips, so that shouldn't be the case. I shall check.

sorry had raid ^.^ Yes the outline was especially bugging me as it was sometimes hard to read.

Nah, I can easily work with that. Only problem I've come across is WW's lack of Outline settings. I can set the outline myself, but every time you get a whisper the non-outlined text will appear for a brief moment.

Thanks for fast reply I found out the name of the frame, it is "WhisperWhisper_mainFrame" there might be a problem tho, the frame width is dependant on the person who last whispered you, as it gets huge when someone whispers you from a different realm or RealID. Plus it seems that the default anchor is center (as it stretches left and right instead just to the right, seems it will need to be modified in the lua).

As for the Chat Bubbles I have used BubbleBobble before, it had an option for scaling in the file itself, you might want to look to that. Is there a config which would define default blizz bubble scale then?

a couple of questions

Hi Nib! First off I would like to thank you from the depths of my heart for this wonderful ui compilation, I couldn't imagine backstabbing people without it. You rock!

First issue I have, would it be possble to scale down the chat bubbles abit? Possible through lua cfg or similiar? Maybe another mod? As of Right now, they are just too big (22" screen)


And second question, do you think it would be possible to anchor WhisperWhisper to the info line under the chat? (It only looks bad when I track xp instead of rep, or track VP, basically when the line stretches.) I woul like it to always be few pixels away from the rep tracker. Like here.

oh, I did not now that this very thin "line" above my bar is the hp bar of my pet :O I do not notice it at all because its to small, especiall if there is a lot going on... (I thought its a swing timer or something haha ).

It could be just me but I would love to see a bigger hp bar of my pet or replace the existent pet/vehicle indicator-"button" into a vertical hp bar in the same size and looks as it is right now (that would be cool ) - it would have the style of a battery

About the buff's target, yea mate that would help a lot in PvP but it would be even better to have the option to let us always see the full range of buffs of the target as it is in an usual UI environment. I like the idea you've mentioned, to see the full range of buffs only out of combat to keep it clean in fight while transperent out of combat but its even better to have the option of both (or "three", as right now you'll only see selfbuffs).
