Update thread - Some additional information about this update is available on the forums.




Installation / Updates

You won't need to rename any folders.
Installation is a simple 1-click install process.

New Installation / Minor (8.#) Update Procedure:
Step 1: Move your current WTF and Interface folders to a backup folder.

If you are updating, moving the WTF folder is not needed.

Step 2: Copy RealUI's Interface folder to your World of Warcraft folder.

You won't lose any of your settings when updating RealUI.
Visit the Change Log to find out what has changed.

Revision (r#) Update Procedure:
Step 1: Copy RealUI's Interface folder to your World of Warcraft folder.

Make sure to overwrite all existing files and folders.
You won't lose any of your settings when updating RealUI.
Visit the Change Log to find out which addons have been modified.

Note: If you are playing in an asian region or regularly interact with players who use asian glyphs, go to the "Other Files" page and download the files most applicable to your situation.

This is a limitation of Grid. It displays based on instance raid size, or in this case whatever the RL has it set to (10 or 25), instead of the number of people in the raid. It annoys me as well, and I've been considering switching to something else.

Does anybody know how to change class colors? I want Haleth's Aurora class colors to show, not the default blizzard colors. As it stands it only shows in chat names in /say, but not in custom channels, name plates, tooltips, or anywhere else. Does RealUI override class color changes made by Aurora?

Just to the right of your Health and Resource bars is a small rectangular box. It will be colored with your class color if your pet is out and serves as a right-clickable frame for your pet.
Ok....that's a nifty little feature, but I still think instead of a line about as big as dental floss to see pet health, those of us who run pet classes should have a frame similar to the player frame displaying this information without having to resort to making our pet a focus.

But that's just me. Still love the UI to death regardless.

Open the RealUI options (/realui) and got to Frame Mover -> Hide Frames and deselect Boss Frames.

Thank you very much Gethe for helping there! I felt very lost on that first boss with guild members telling me what I should be seeing.

This is something that I would like to accommodate, but that would require a lot of changes in various places (see RealUI 6.X -> 7.X) and at the moment I just don't have that much time. In the meantime you can try using the addon Jasmer linked, though you may lose the pixel perfect-ness of the frames in the process.

Does anyone else have a problem after today's hotfix from Blizz?
I've lost my health and mana bar. They have reverted to the old Blizz style and positions. Everything else seems to be working OK.
I did a reinitialization but it didn't help.

Edit:
My stupid fault...I forgot to retick "load out of date addons" after the hotfix.
All is OK after that...

I don't suppose we can get a normal 10 man layout for healers for Temple of Kotmogu to bring the layout more in line with, say, Gilneas and other 10 man bgs?

What I did was to do /grid and under Layout change 10 man raid to "by 40 man". Don't forget to change it back after you're done!

Okay, so I have a question on grid. I ran a Sha of Anger raid but grid would only show 10 man. Apparently this raid runs up to 40 people. Why wouldn't more than 10 show?
