Clean installation required!
Move your old Interface and WTF folders to a Backup folder before installing.


Beta Note:

RealUI 8 is currently in Beta.
It works, however, some features are still under construction and it needs user testing before any potential bugs can be ironed out.
Only download if you're willing to use a potentially buggy, incomplete UI.




You won't need to rename any folders.
Installation is a simple 1-click install process.

New Installation Procedure:
Step 1: Move your current WTF and Interface folders to a backup folder.
Step 2: Copy RealUI's Interface folder to your World of Warcraft folder.

Revision (r#) Update Procedure:
Step 1: Copy RealUI's Interface folder to your World of Warcraft folder.

Make sure to overwrite all existing files and folders.
You won't lose any of your settings when updating RealUI.
Visit the Change Log to find out which addons have been modified.

To change text location or to reverse the direction of the bars: /realui > Advanced > Advanced Settings > HuD > Cast Bars

Adjust how many bars to display at the Center and on the Bottom of the screen
Adjust location of Mouse-Over action bars
Adjust padding and number of buttons for all action bars
Stance Bar now located on the Info Line (right side)
Pet Bar now located on the left side of the screen
To manually control Action Bar settings, untick RealUI Control on the Action Bars config panel, then go into Bartender settings via the Advanced Settings button.

Saves a bit of UI load, and screen real estate.

You can certainly delete Omen and use Skada's threat module instead, though it's impossible to get Skada to look like Omen does in RealUI

I'm in love with your UI! But..

I am totally loving this interface but I find I am unable to see whether other party members have certain presence on, e.g Paladins with/out righteous fury or Death knights with/out Frost Presence. I've tried configuring SBF to show this but it changes the way my pally's buffs are displayed. It's probably a noobish solution but can you point me in the right direction?

This is a pre-release version of the latest RealUI. I'll be leaving the WoW and UI scene for a while so no more updates to RealUI until I return (maybe some time after Cataclysm).
nibelheim commented on his .5.0 alpha that he's leaving WoW temporarily, possibly not coming back until after cata comes out.

Hmpf... I'm still on 0.4.3 and Buggrabber is just driving me nuts! It spams my entire chatlog with it's message. I tried the 0.5.1 alpha but there seems to be the same problem. Does anyone know how to fix this?

You'll have to post the error messages. It's either an undiscovered bug, or since it occurs in both versions and has yet to be seen, related to an addon/change you made.

Do you have Skada installed, and if so, did you rename/remove it's default window?

Well, either way, I'll try and upload a patch. Although I can't test in-game if it works it's a simple enough change.

I have the original skada that came with 0.4.3 but played around with a little in terms of settings etc.

I'll delete the folder and replace it with the one in the original download once the servers are up from maintenance. I'll post back with the result.

[Edit: Didn't see the patch, gonna go try it out then]

There were two other bugs that popped up along with the one I listed below. The recent 0.4.5 patch that you posted up seems to have eliminated all three.

Just want to second the existing opinions regarding being a bit saddo that this UI will be un-updated for awhile. I have played with a ton, and this is probably my favorite ever. It's a superb combination of excellent minimalism, a unique but functional look, and, most importantly and unusual, it lets you customize it quite a bit. This is a very fine UI!

I was wondering if anyone had enough addon skill that they could take over the in game portion of the project or the entire project. I ask this as I am sure many would love to see this phenomenal addon continue to stay alive. I am using a UI that I assembled myself for now but would love to go back to RealUI. I would love to put RealUI back up, I onl took it off when I heard that it would not be updated. I wanted to get something setup in downtime and not have it have some random error when I need it to work.
