Doesn't really look right...

Before it was updated, and before the game was updated, it worked great.

Now... when I go into one of my characters, and it asks me if I wanna let it configure the UI, I say YES... then it doesn't configure it. It still is all misplaced and doesn't look like the screenshot at all...

I dunno what to do, I did everything just as the instructions say, it's not complicated... but something is preventing it from configuring.

How?!

The map and stuff look so much better in that screenshot there!

How is that done?! OMG that's amazing.

[b]I supposed I'm being nit-picky as far as features go, but is there any way to re-enable the arrows on the right side of the buff/debuff row, and is there any way to get those spiffy General/Combat log buttons back?

It's one of the earlier revisions of RealUI, I've been using it since it's released.

Any chance you could tell me how I could get that please? It must be hard getting it to work for 4.0.1.

I don't understand code for the life of me, but I'm a graphic designer.

My favorite in it really what I consider looks better is the mini map, chat, and Skada/Recount or whatever it is... design or borders and what not. It just looks so much more stylish while still being simple, that style should have been kept, while also incorprating the latest IceHUD design from the current build, but while with the chat looking the way it does, maybe putting the tabs back on too, so you can access them naturally, no completey disappear look to them, just maybe a fade a bit, but not too much, until it's selected, the one selected should be the most visible, so you know what you have out. Even the default chat of Blizzard don't have that set up very well.

I also wanna ask, can I change the bag addon to a different one?

I know it really don't match the design (maybe you can make a skin for it)

But I really like Combuctor back mod, it's groups things a little less buggy, and it just feels better, and it has a lot more options and features that are useful. I would rather have it. But I dunno if it'll break the UI if I take the one you have in, out... and put Combuctor in.

It's just an old screenshot, sorry. I'm using the current updated release.

When I try to use Grid with the RealUI profile, Grid doesn't show up at all. When I set it to the default profile, I just get a small gray square below my actionbars, and messing with the settings doesn't change it (scale makes it bigger, but it still doesn't show party members or myself). I re-installed Ace2 since Phanx said:
Sounds messy Try:

1) Delete all your Grid folders (including modules)
2) Copy in the Grid addon and the modules from the latest download
3) Copy in the WTF\Account\ACCOUNTNAME\SavedVariables\Grid.lua from the latest download to the same directory under your WoW folder
4) Log in, type: "/grid", go to Profiles and choose RealUI

It's pretty easy to mess Grid up atm, with it recently having a huge overhaul and modules being updated yet not actually working properly yet.

I can't inspect anyone. How come? Is it the UI in general or is it that my is configured wrong? :-)
That's a Blizzard 4.0.1 bug.

Hmm, a couple of possible issues can cause this:

1) WoW is installed to your Program Files folder and thus is storing it's WTF and Interface folders in two locations
2) The ACCOUNTNAME folder was incorrectly named. Check your WTF\Account\ folder and see what folders are under there. One of them should be your real account name.
3) Your WTF folder is set to read-only. Right-click it, go to properties, and untick Read Only/ Click Apply, and make it apply to all files and subfolders as well.
4) Something else

Lol... now I feel salty. Yeah, I typed my Battle.net Email Address into the folder name, not my actual account name. That's why it didn't work, ha ha!

It's working fine now. I do wanna ask you directly though, how can I get the same chat style from that old screenshot I was discussing with someone a while ago here on your comments to this, and maybe the mini-map style too, and Skata Design? I love how that looked, but I also love the fact that you can hit plus or minus and it'll show up or hide. But with the chat box, I think it should hide only when there are no chats going on in there right that minute and maybe bring the tabs back, and have them match, and have the ones that are not selected fade, but not too much. Ya know what I'm saying?

I hear ya, it's just a lot of work for a direction that I'm trying to steer RealUI away from. Perhaps in the future I'll open up a modification community for RealUI where custom modifications can be made and uploaded

Oh I see, well what is your direction or path that you're taking RealUI into? I'm just curious.

Having a massive issue right now.

One of my characters was logged into and not initially configured. Now, I can't configure things at all. I try using the RealUI profiles for various addons, no dice. I tried deleting various folders, copy/pasting from characters that works, setting up new profiles and using those... nothing.

So... how do I completely nuke 1 character's UI settings and allow myself to reset, without tanking the addons of my other characters?

(Basically, I think if I had that "Do you want to configure RealUI" window again, I'd be golden, but I'm not 100% on that...)

Try logging into the character and typing: /reflux switch RealUI

If that doesn't work, I'll think of something more complicated.

That reset everything, but didn't prompt me to set up RealUI.
