It is usually a good thing to read the readme.txt file that comes with some complitations (this one in particular). As they point out the things that must be done in game to reconfigure certain add ons after a compilation patch, or sometimes even on a clean install. And just incase you have already deleted the download folder that contains said readme, I will post the solution to your problem here.

Once you have copied the required files into the required locations you will need to log in to the game and perform the following steps

/sldt - set profile to RealUI (this will fix the issue you are having)
/sbf options - set profile to RealUI
/icehud - Set profile to RealUI

Regards

DXE

Oh and btw, kudos on the UI Nib. It is one of my favorites and I normally use it as at least a base for my UI. Right now I am actually using it full blown as there is nothing I really feel the need to change or recode LOL. And I love the DXE layout as well, very intuitive. All the information I need, highly visible, but not cluttering the main area of the display.

Regards

As awsome as this UI is, it's not very intuitive. It took me a while to figure out the numbers under the HUD and how to get the actionbars to act differently. Still working on how to adjust the size of the minimap. Wife broke her configuration and we still haven't figured out how to fix it (reset) without re-installing it from scratch. Reseting the profile back to "RealUI" doesn't seem to work.
I try to leave out as many class / role specific addons as I find they're best left to the user to install their personal favorite.

Intuitiveness is definitely a big thing, and something lacking atm. Working on improving it is a high priority, it's just a difficult thing to include and there's so many fundamental active aspects of the UI atm in need of work.

For the minimap, type "/nibminimap" or go through Interface > AddOns to get to it's options window. In there you can adjust it's scale.

Unfortunately if you work on configuring addons in RealUI that are still on the RealUI profile, then "resetting" to the RealUI profile won't actually revert any changes you've made as it's already on the RealUI profile. Best to clone the RealUI profile in the addon into a new profile, and then work on customizing it.

If you want to reset a specific addon, simply copy it's SavedVariable file from the Download\RealUI 06x\WTF\Account\ACCOUNTNAME\SavedVariables\ folder to your WTF\Account\YourAccountName\SavedVariables folder. Then when in game set that addon's profile (if it uses profiles) back to RealUI.

Beautiful. We just replaced the entire WTF folder and renamed /ACCOUNTNAME to her account again. Many thanks!!

    • Major overhaul on spells and point tracking locations and appearance.
    • Focus cast bar moved, Target of Target cast bar added.

currently having an issue with Bartender. Bar 1 teh hotkey #'s are showing up above the bar (so I disabled them) but on my bar 3 where I put my pots (and on the right hand bar where I have some lesser used pots) the # showing how many I have are showing BELOW the bar (or below the icon on the right) Is there a way to fix this?

Well, that's normal. I'll have a browse around now and see if there's an option to move it.

Edit: Hmm, doesn't look like it.

Hi, I recently started using this UI and it is fabulous. I've been a big fan of LUI v3 before this but this one has an even cleaner look.

Is there any way or mode like a demo mode where i can see the placement of all the frames so I can move them around and not overlap things? I need to have at lease one bar up real close to the unitframes so I can see my high priority icons coming off CDs without moving my eyes off unitframes or boss warnings.

Also, is where do I go to add hp tracking to focus and ToT unitframes? How do I add color behavior to mana arrow or customize the color behavior of hp arrow on player unitframe?

Anyways, your unitframes and buff/debuff arrangement is the best i've seen on any UI. Thanks for sharing this gem with the rest of the community

For a demo mode, you'll have to activate the configuration mode of all the addons around that area. This should about do it for covering the middle area:
  1. Make sure you have yourself selected as a target
  2. Type: "/focus"
  3. Type: "/icehud" and tick "Configuration Mode"
  4. Type: "/omen config" and tick "Test Mode"
  5. Type: "/omen toggle"
  6. Type: "/sbf options", then drag the options window out of the way by holding down alt and dragging it
  7. Type: "/msbt", select Scroll Areas then click Configure Scroll Areas

To add HP tracking to Focus and ToT, you'll have to go into PitBull options. I've already included a pre-made text to show the health percentage, so all you have to do is enable it:
  1. Type: /pb
  2. In "Layout editor", drop down "Current layout" and select "Focus"
  3. Select the "Texts" tab
  4. Drop down "Current text" and select "Lua:HealthPercent"
  5. Tick "Enable" in the "Edit text" section just below
  6. Repeat for "Current layout" = "TargetsTarget"

To add different color behavior to the Arrows:
  1. Type: /realui
  2. Select "Unit Frame Overlay"
  3. Select the tab of which unit frame you want to configure
  4. Select "Health"
  5. Select "Color"
  6. Adjust to your liking
  7. Repeat for "Power" and different unit frames

Well the numbers used to be WITHIN the hotbar icon for the spell / item / etc.

Now the numbers are outside completely. This is a brand new thing that happened. As in it happened today. My bars were just fine last night. (Did not really get to hop online today..... till late this evening)

Ohhh. Hmmm... Since there's no settings for that, it has to be an internal Bartender problem. You could try reinstalling Bartender from the latest download but I don't think it'll change much.

Thanks for the detailed walkthrough This is what i was able to accomplish:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

So far I like this layout better for my warrior.

Now, about the color behavior of RealUI health arrow... Is there a way to add more steps to the color change or gradient? For example, I want the color to remain white above 70% then go yellow below it and then go red below 25%. In the existing options there is only one step which can be defined at any hp percentage. How do I add another step?

Once again, much grateful for the help with positioning and I'm loving the new layout.

I'm assuming you upgraded via the 0.6.0 to 0.6.1 patch. There were instructions in the patch folder read me on how to fix the SLDataText to appear in the correct location.

If you missed that part, you likely missed out on the IceHUD and SBF fixes as well.

I'd copy and paste for you, but I already deleted the .zip. You need to go into the options for IceHUD (/icehud config), SBF (/sbf options) and SLDataText (/sldt)... find the profile section, and then change the current profile to RealUI. Once you're done, do a /reload ui.
