Wait a minute, I want to see my party chat!
Everyone who's been in a dungeon probably knows the feeling. This text is meaningless, as nobody's going to keep count, and it's flushing your party or guild chat out of the log.

Consolid8 takes these messages and more, filters them, and only shows the important ones. The rest are counted up and summarised in a tooltip, and/or a report that appears when you finish your dungeon. This is how:

Reputation:
Consolid8 counts the reputation that you gain, and displays it in the report. (Note: Consolid8 does not remove the reputation messages from your chat; to remove them, right-click the chat tab and click settings.)
Loot:
When you loot a grey item, Consolid8 adds its vendor value to a total.
Items that you get a lot of, like cloth, Vrykul Bones, etc. are counted up (you can choose these items in the Interface Options).
Money loot is also counted up.
These messages are then hidden from your chat frame. Also, loot messages about other players (except loot rolls and wins) are hidden.
Honor and Experience:
These are also counted.
Crafting:
When you craft more than one item, Consolid8 counts how many you make and how many skill-ups they give you, and only displays two messages. For example:

Your skill in Tailoring has increased to 76.
You create: [Woolen Cape].
Your skill in Tailoring has increased to 77.
You create: [Woolen Cape].

Becomes:

Your skill in Tailoring has increased to 77 (+2).
You create: [Woolen Cape]x2.

A button is added over your chat frame, and optionally on a broker display (you can move or hide it if you like). Hovering over this will show a tooltip with the counts on it. Also, a report is automatically displayed when you leave a dungeon, showing all of your gains from that dungeon.

Slash command: /consolid8
Switches: reset, report, show, hide

1.6:

Tradeskill messages are now consolidated.
Rearranged the report dialog slightly to stop the checkbox from hiding parts of the report.
Honor tracking should now function correctly again.

1.5:

Now compatible with patch 4.0.1. Honor tracking is currently out of action until I can figure out the GetCurrencyInfo function.
Hopefully fixed a bug in loot handling with Master Looter mode, and added a safeguard timer to make sure any important loot is reported within ten seconds.
Fixed XP tracking (again… it really should work this time…)

1.45c: Honor bug fix.
1.45b: XP bug fix.
1.45a: Loot bug fix.
1.45 (minor update): Changed the default anchor for the button to make room for the new social button in 3.3.5.

1.4:

Now integrates better with Blizzard loot messages. Upgrading users must re-enable loot messages (Right-click General chat tab > Settings > Other > Check Item Loot).
Added option on report dialog to turn automatic reports on or off. (Upgrading users must re-enable this.)
Changed licence from GNU General Public Licence to Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike Licence.

1.3:

Now consolidates messages from looting, gathering, etc.
Now tracks XP gains.
Changed the report method to a static pop-up, and made it appear automatically when you leave an instance.
Added slash command switches /consolid8 show and /consolid8 hide which show and hide the button respectively.

1.2:

Changed the LDB plug-in from a launcher to a data source.
Made the button movable (Hold down shift and drag) and sizable (Hold down shift and use scroll wheel)
Now tracks honor.

1.1:

Added an LDB (TitanPanel, FuBar, etc.) plug-in with the same behaviour as the normal icon.
Made the normal icon more visible on third-party UIs (Hopefully… Tested on SpartanUI)
Added a slash command as a last resort:
/consolid8 reset, report

1.0: Original Release

I can't say i'd complain if you handled it as well; i'd choose one or the other. Just make sure it looks nice. Hate ugly visuals on mods.

It handles your loot messages by putting all the loot from one corpse in one message. Reports now appear in a pop-up automatically when you leave an instance, and you can show or hide the button through the slash command. I'm thinking about handling loot roll messages. My current idea is having a small frame appear for each item that is rolled for, showing which option each player is selecting for the item, what they roll, and who won the item. The frame could be closed when the user has finished, or the user could choose to hide roll messages. The button can now be moved and scaled. Hold down shift, then drag the button to move it, and use the scroll wheel to scale it. I've also added honor tracking as requested by someone on curse, and changed the LDB plug-in to a data source. BTW, I have a fairly customized UI myself (not a packages, just many assorted addons that I've probably spent too much time while up from insomnia being fairly obsessive about positioning & color). While Consolid8 has always appeared, it was kind of far from any part of my chat frame. I *think* the only addon I have which should be modifying that is Chatter.

Anyway, I made a few small changes which suit my UI, & my positioning desires, better:

2) Either being able to select frames arbitrarily to anchor to, & picking your own anchor points & offsets, or free movement. I personally prefer the former, but I suspect I may be in a minority on that.

Regardless, I definitely like this addon, good effort

Was not able to make it hide with the Chatter Functions since Consolid8 isnt listed in he Button Module I guess. I was able to just hide the button by editing the lua for Consolid8.

So, the one other thing that regularly spams my chat window is loot rolls. I can't turn them off either, because sometimes I need to see if anyone else has needed on an item before I can in good conscience need on something for off-spec. (Rather than just click greed and see my item get auto-sharded). Can you make consolid8 pick up rolls in progress, and also the aftermath too? I can only imagine this require quite a bit more coding to implement, but it's something to think about. It seems like this feature would be in line with the goals of this addon.
