INTRODUCTION

Due to the overwhelming amount of people asking for it i decided to finally release caelUI to the public.

caelUI is a very light, all-inclusive UI at least for dps and tank classes.

It doesn't include addons like decursive and such but feel free to add them.

caelUI has absolutely no in game configuration, meaning that if you don't have a minimum of knowledge of Lua, this is not the UI you're looking for.

CaelUI has been written to work with the enGB/US locale, OTHER LOCALES AREN'T SUPPORTED.

I'm open to any suggestion that might improve it but i give no guarantee that anything you request will ever be included.


INSTALLATION

Delete your WTF folder. (make a backup of yours before deleting)
Remove any addons that might interfere with this UI. (examples: other actionbar addons, unitframes etc...)
Copy the content of this package to your AddOns folder.
Start the game, define your screen resolution, reloadui.

KNOWN BUGS
  • caelCooldown pulse does not filter unneeded cooldowns or show the right cooldowns when skills with shared cooldown are used (heroic strike/cleave for example).

Actually that's what I need to thank you for also. Thanks so much for your lua's. They're all so clean and full of info that I'm enjoying to understand and learn. This is coming from someone who has no background in lua programming!

1. comment horde cities, uncomment alliance ones, it simply auto set your tracking according to your target.


2. this part (replace KeyUp with KeyDown) shouldn't be enabled for you at all, i'll see if i forgot to disable it properly.

Right, the gotChat part is only for the renaming part, everything else, joining/leaving/coloring has to be done in the caelChat.lua

Very nice work, It's good to see you've finally released the entire pack. I see you went back to the darker colours aswell!

I'm once again stuck on adding and colouring custom chat channels. I've added them in the gotChat LUA like this

I looked through all of the comment's i did not see anyone mention a totem bar. I know that you said you do not play and healing classes. Would it be poss to include a totem bar themed to the ui in a future release.

/addonset loads the default UI
/addonset party loads the default UI + dps meter and threat meter
/addonset raid loads the whole stuff, including BigWigs if it's installed

Open caelAddonManager to edit the addons.

Hi, i was wondering where u change some things tho i like your UI really mutch and aren't that good in LUA

1. Every time i restart, Click-to-move is on. I donīt want that

2. where is the petbar (hunterpet)(Ghoul)(Water Elemental)

more kudos inc: i dont know what u've done but im running my game @ a higher FPS than norm. very sexy UI
2) Toons that heal and have an offspec usually have 2 different position for raid frames (I have 3). Top left is perfect for DPS and over the target frame is perfect for raid healing. I have 2 positons that have to switch between because I have been to lazy to figure out how to code it by class, and talent spec.

3) I have mine set up to show all the debuffs that are pertinent to healing. You just have to add a priority to the ones that you want to be shown when you have more than two types of debuffs on a player. An example would be Marrowgar HM, I have Bone Spikes prioritized over Bone Storm. I only see one debuff icon on any given raid frame but since the highest priority is always visible I know who needs to be getting the heals.

I agree that point 1 is needed and I strongly advise point 2. The others are more of a luxury but I think that is what makes this UI so appealing. There are so many bells and whistles that make you wonder why anyone would use anything else. I don't need the beeps on my combo points and have never used them before but when I heard them for the first time I was like "ZOMG!", I have to have them. I will say he hid them very well because I still can't find where that code is.
