Broker Played Time

DataBroker plugin to track played time across all your characters.

It differs from similar addons in that it only tracks played time; it does not track other things like experience or money.

The tooltip lists all of your characters across both factions on all servers. The current character is listed first for quick reference. Character names are colored by class. Faction icons, class icons, and character levels can also be shown if desired.

Right-click the plugin for options.

They can tell WoW to save specific variables between sessions, and WoW will write those variables to a file in the SavedVariables directory when you log out or reload the UI. The other option for "exporting" would be to display the data in CSV (or some other) format in a text box, and let you copy and paste it. I have absolutely no plans to double or triple the size of this addon by adding CSV format conversion and a text box GUI. However, the addon already saves played time between sessions. See the Broker_PlayedTime.lua file in your SavedVariables folder. You could easily write a script in Lua, Python, or any other scripting language to convert the data to CSV or some other format, or just write your web app to be able to read the data as it is stored in the saved variables file. __________________ Author/maintainer of Grid, PhanxChat, and many more. The version of this addon you are using is not compatible with WoW 4.2, which is why a newer version was posted when WoW 4.2 was released.

You should delete the old Broker_PlayedTime folder before installing this update, since some files aren’t needed anymore. Also, I synthesized the Korean and Chinese translations from studying the global strings files for those locales, so please don’t hesitate to correct anything that sounds wrong! __________________ “Be humble, for you are made of earth. Tact A Deviate Faerie Dragon Forum posts: 12 File comments: 27 Uploads: 0	works great. loving the new delete command line. when i used it for the first time, it seemed to "delete" all the names under the deleted name as well. i figured maybe because instead of installing fresh i wrote over the existing older version. (bad habit of mine) but then i just logged out and logged back in with a diffrent toon and all the names came back (cept the deleted one of course). so who knows. works for me. ty so much for such a great addon.
