So I wiped out all their SQL databases on the east coast, an overreaction I know but that's just one of my 'isms I guess. Mung I never said I did not like your ui or felt cheated, in fact I love it. This whole thing is just a big misunderstanding imo mostly my fault for posting when upset, and for people misunderstanding what I was trying to say. I forget the time and work it takes to make these things, and forget that it's hard for you the code writer to iron all the bugs out first before uploading it.

I don't want my money back as I have been using your ui for....well as long as I can remember lol and honestly feel it was worth every penny. So I'm sorry if my first post was writin out of anger, not anger at you btw. Just sucks when all your actionbars and stuff disappear in a boss fight and you cause the raid to wipe, and I guess I should let things roll of my back also.

So how about we just move on and start over?
OMG HAI! Nice to meet you My name is Dedish... ( not really just go with it ) YOUR UI IS TEH AWESOME!

You were at Blizzcon weren't you? I recognize the name from one of the tshirts being worn by the wowinterface posse (unless my memory is just horrid....which is certainly possible).
Unfortunately, it wasn't me. I've only been on staff a couple of months, and most likely I'll never be able to afford to go lol.
I really am intending to take the time to write a proper guide for installation/use. The problem is that every time I make a version change, the installation steps as well as the various options change with it. I will try to get this wrapped up tomorrow.
Not a biggy, I just don't want to see you dealing with a bunch of folks that can't figure it out for themselves. (Did I word that nicely enough? This PC stuff is still pretty new to me.)

The carbonite issue plagues me.... I have spent hours looking at ways of correcting this without entirely disabling the minimap to no avail...yet. You have to understand that the minimap is my first-born baby in regards to SVUI, it was really the first element that pulled my UI away from all the others. For this reason I almost refuse to make changes that will remove it. But I digress, I haven't given up on a carbonite fix quite yet.
Again, nowhere near a big problem. I do remember seeing a fix posted in the tukUI forums at one point that did do the trick, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was. It was commenting out one line of code, but that's the extent of my memory

Thank you for your kind words and don't be a stranger.
No worries there. Your ui has put the fun back in WoW for me.

Now if you could just do something with the City of Heroes interface. Imagine if you will a comic book based MMO that doesn't have a comic book themed ui...

/sigh

One small thing, though. You might want to update with your info page with clearer instructions on installation. When you added the ai-art stuff it became a bit more complex than just unzipping to your addon folder and it even screwed me up for a few minutes before I realized I had all those files in my addons folder instead of the interface folder.

Ok, one more small thing. I'm a Carbonite user but when I have Carb active, the svui minimap is round instead of rectangular. It doesn't look bad, per se but it messes with my ocd having a round minimap overlapping the rectangular border.

ps. Don't let the occasional troll get you down.

Edit: Dedish, no I am not Munglunch, but I AM a moderator on WoWInterface, and as such I am asking you to watch your lanquage when posting in comments or forums. We consider this to be a family-friendly site, and using language as you did in your last post is NOT acceptable.

As far as installing everything i just copied the interface folder to my wow directory and the fonts. didn't change or add anything inside.

Just curious. Great UI by the by.

Thanks.
When you first log in you can click one of the two buttons on your bottom-right screen (" << " and " >> "). Do this and see what happens.

I am forced to use a different ui now cause this is just plain unplayable. Hope you get it sorted out cuz I really love your ui, cant promise I will come back to it tho.
This is why dude you can not like the new layout just like I'm sure some people did not like the changes too but the way you have worded that post sounds like your angry at the author for doing changes that are not to your liking and if changes aren't made back to the old ways your saying your not going to use the UI. Some times you need to realize that not every change is going to agree with everyone. If you use the UI cause you like the looks of it so be it use it but don't post what you said cause at the end of the day it makes you sound bad and gives people on forums/posts the ability to insult/comment about what you said. If you don't like the changes just find another UI but let the author know in a PM that you didn't like the changes and maybe ask if you could have the choices to go back to the old style.

PS. Mung owes me a cookie this is post 1500

Similar thing happens for me. Used your UI for a while now (love it btw) But updated it and got the usual message box "I need to update Supervillian UI. This shouldn't hurt.... much" then after clicking ok I get this error message:

Message: ...Emerges\Supervillain_Actionbars\actionbar_anchor.lua:81: attempt to index global 'SVActionAnchor1' (a nil value)

I just updated mine as well, and love Supervillian UI but since i updated mine today, i no longer have a pet bar, I have pet bar enabled on the right but can not find my pet action bar at all. If anyone maybe knows if i just some how have it turned off or i did something wrong please let me know.

Other then that, its the only thing i have had problems with since the update.
