oUF lumen

Before I used oUF and started writing my own layout and small addons, Pitbull, Grid and ClassTimer were a big part of the functionality of my UI. Since then I tried to cut down on the number of addons while trying to retain its functionality. oUF_lumen using the power of oUF tries to accomplish this by creating a customized set of unit frames tha replace Pitbull, Grid and ClassTimer while being light and functional.



If you're interested in my UI it's here.

This is a PERSONAL Layout. What this means is that most of the functionalities will be implemented because I need them. I can eventually add some features If I see the utility in them, but I will never change the layout radically or add unnecessary and complicated features just because. The beauty of oUF layouts is that there are plenty for all tastes!

If your resolution is too small, maybe.

And no, the Totem bars don't move, never seen anything like that. Unless you change the wrong values.

On Line 225 of the cfg.lua:

Code:
		cfg.totem_x = false -- Horizontal Position (False is to use default position)
		cfg.totem_y = false -- Vertical Position (False is to use default position)
They are anchored to the Right of the Player Frame, so you need to position them accordingly.

This layout was made on a 1920x1080 resolution screen, so it's normal if you have a MUCH smaller screen resolution that stuff get in wierd places.

There is no way that with a "normal" resolution your Castbar is on top of your Totem Bar and next to your Raid.

Try to decrease the scale of things to fit your resolution or show me a screen.


On another note, going to update the layout to fix a minor issue.

Angry moving the shaman totem bars

This seems very temperamental. I have adjusted the x,y values and sometimes it moves, sometimes it doesn't. What am I doing wrong? The current placement of the totem bars gets covered up by party/raid frames and my cast bar. (and by totem bars, i do not mean the ones that show what totems are actually down. I am talking about the bars that you click on to actually PLACE the totems)

% Text from green to red

@Lastbreath.

Mate, I didn't remember how to change gradient color text from white to another color, wrote this so long ago forgot some stuff.

If you go to line 78 in ouf_lumen.lua you'll see oUF.colors.smooth. Use this and you'll get Green instead of White.

Ah, that Percentage. Well, it's built into oUF to change like that. So nothing you can do unless you write a function like I told you. I use .percent on that string so it goes form white > yellow > red. Only with a custom function you can change that.

1. You want to add a gradient. It's not as easy as just defining IF clauses. You need a gradient function. I don't think oUF has something like that. You'll need to ask in the oUF forums or search for someone that implemente something like that. Sorry but I haven't and I'm not too, it's out of the scope of what I want.

2. If I understood right you want to change the location of the Target Name String and HP String. They are strings, so searching for String on oUF_lumen should give you an hint.

The function to create the Name string is : createNameString = function (s, font, size, outline, x, y, point, wd)

The HPString: createHPString = function (s, font, size, outline, x, y, point)

On Line 1932 begins the Target Styling with target = function(self, ...)

Line 1944 says: -- Fontstrings and:

It's there. You need to change the Anchoring points, from Left to Right or vice-versa. For future references, search for Strings if it's strings you are looking for.

Ok thanks for the 2nd answer, as for the 1st u got me wrong i dont ask u to add anything the option is there talking about HP% check ure pick u have 93%hp, wich in the addon u have it set atm to show from 100% - 0% to go white - yellow - red, i want to have green - yellow - red just not sure about the line where to chance the white color

You'll need to ask in the oUF forums or search for someone that implemente something like that. Sorry but I haven't and I'm not too, it's out of the scope of what I want.

2. If I understood right you want to change the location of the Target Name String and HP String. They are strings, so searching for String on oUF_lumen should give you an hint.

The function to create the Name string is : createNameString = function (s, font, size, outline, x, y, point, wd)

The HPString: createHPString = function (s, font, size, outline, x, y, point)

On Line 1932 begins the Target Styling with target = function(self, ...)

Line 1944 says: -- Fontstrings and:

It's there. You need to change the Anchoring points, from Left to Right or vice-versa. For future references, search for Strings if it's strings you are looking for.

Hey m8 trying to sort our HP% color atm , i want to be green 100% to 70% / yellow 70% to 30% / below 30% red....but atm its white / yellow / red. Trying to find the line with the colors as i can see it in of_lumen.lua 446-457 line might me what im looking for but not sure , so can u give me in wich line i need 2 add red green rgb color .....

Also is it possible 2 change on target left to be HP and right 2 be the name and how couldnt find that line?

That is all possible but editing the layout. I've added those options now, will be available in the next release.

Hi there, first of all thanks for the nice layout, and for taking the time to implement the eclipse bar for 4.0.

A couple questions, or maybe requests:
1) I can't seem to find an option in the config to hide the eclipse bar itself. I can make it disappear by setting both width and height to 0, but that doesn't seem very clean. I noticed the other "special" bars each have their own hide/show variable.

2) Would love to have a variable in the config for setting the color and alpha of the "backdrop", i.e. the black box contanining your char's name, the empty part of the bars and so on. I could probably have a look at the layout LUA and change it there, but adding it to config should not pose particular problems and would be more update-friendly.

If you added this stuff in the last couple days feel free to /facepalm me, but I can't seem to find them
