gStats
Version: 1.02
by: Goldpaw [More]
What is this?
  • This is a small addon to display some stats in two panels under the minimap. It uses and embeds the gPanel library to create these panels. It was designed to be a part of my upcoming UI pack gUI, but can function as a stand-alone or with any square minimap.

How can I configure it?
  • /gstats or Interface > AddOns > gStats

It has no background like in the screenshot...?

Interesting and weird. I have tons of theories as to what can have caused the problem, and none of them are very helpful. Anyway, nice that it works!

Move the frames to the top of the Minimap? You're one of those that have the Minimap at the bottom of the screen? Sure, that can be done. I can easily make an option like that, and I'm adding it to my ToDo-list.
Yes, works and still working. It hasn't bugged once since the initial install and I seriously did nothing to fix it. Gotta love the nutty WoW API.

Yes, I keep the map at the bottom with the stats on the bottom it's really too low to be in my normal field of vision. On top of the map would be awesome and at the perfect place to easily be seen.

Thanks for the responses, look forward to you continuing to build your addon package and use gMedia for more stuff.

It is working now and sadly I'm not sure why.

Logged in, no frames. Go to addon menu to check and make sure gMedia is checked. Reload UI. Frames are there.

On a different note, the ability to move the frames from the bottom of the minimap to the top would be awesome.

gStats position it's 2 frames right under the Minimap object on the screen. To see if your UI is doing something uncommon, you can try the following 2 commands to test if your Minimap is THE Minimap;
Code:
/run Minimap:Hide()
/run Minimap:Show()
If that shows and hides the Minimap, then that's not the problem and you should check other things. Have you installed gMedia?

For reference I am playing at 1920x1080 and am using Chinchilla Minimap. Almost everything in the UI is custom, so to not spam your addon comments I won't post a list of all the addons I am using. If necessary I will PM them to you.
