gBanker

Version: 6.0.2.0
by: SaraFdS [More]

A small AddOn to simplify moving (lots of) items to and from your bank or guild bank. You may move simply all items, or only those (partially) matching a keyword.

The GUI can automatically be opened and closed with your (guild) bank.

  • Opt. - Open options menu
  • x - Close GUI
  • Textbox - Enter your keyword there
  • Give - Move all items (which match the keyword, if given) from inventory to bank
  • Take - Move all items (which match the keyword, if given) from bank to inventory
  • BList - Add (left-click) or remove (right-click) the keyword to/from your blacklist. Displays your current blacklist, if no keyword is given. Only exact matches (not case sensitive, even if case sensitive search is enabled) will be blocked, e.g. "inferno ruby" will only block the raw gem, cut ones like "brilliant inferno ruby" will still be moved.
  • QuickButtons - If enabled, you'll see a new frame with (at first) empty buttons. These can be left-clicked to take, or right-clicked to give items, which match the button's keyword. To set a keyword for a button, enter it into the textbox and click the button, or use the chat commands below. To remove it, use the options menu.

If you like them better, or want to create macros, slash commands for everything are still around:

  • /gbanker - Open GUI
  • /gbanker give|take [keyword]
  • /gbanker case - Toggle case sensitive search
  • /gbanker blacklist [add|remove keyword]
  • /gbanker quick # [keyword] - Sets keyword for QuickButton #. Enter no keyword, to clear the button
  • new To create a QuickButton with multiple keywords, enter them like this: label;keyword1;keyword2; e.g. gems;cardinal ruby;jade;dawnstone; You're free to use as many keywords as you like, but don't forget the ; after the last keyword.

You may use the bold letters as "shortcuts", e.g. /gb b a Hearthstone instead of /gbanker blacklist add Hearthstone

If you stumble upon a bug, or have ideas for improvements or new features (or if you just want to tell me how awesome I am for writing this ), please leave a comment or send me an email!

  • /gbanker give|take [Suchbegriff]
  • /gbanker blacklist [add|remove Suchbegriff]
  • /gbanker quick # [Suchbegriff] - 'Beschriftet' QuickButton Nummer #.

Thank you Sara

i thought it might be something like that, i should've emphasized that it is really only affecting guild banking. when dealing with personal bank, it is perfect as before!

i did notice though that when taking items from the guild bank will take them 4 at a time for me, but i don't have to keep clicking the button to take more, it just does it in increments of 4 - and interestingly it literally skips every 4 items in the guild bank.

i will give your suggestions a try.

EDIT: i tried using 0.5 and that worked great. then i thought i would reset it to 0.4 and try again - it worked great. i wonder if my value was set to lower than 0.4? i didn't change the file myself... strange. especially since i delete the saved preferences and had it recreate it from default - but now seems to be working great!

many thanks for all your efforts sara! i know i can be a menace

Blizz probably messed with how fast you may access the guild bank (again).

When they first throttled guild bank access I added a delay between interactions plus an option to let users configure this themselves (since it may need to be longer on slow internet connections). So you can probably fix this by changing the delay using "/gb delay #". Default value is 0.4 seconds, try raising it in steps of 0.1 until moving all items works reliably again.

I'll also look into this when I find time, and probably update the default.

Thanks for reporting, Menace =)

Unhappy Will only move 4 items to Guild Bank now :(

i'm not sure what exactly changed with blizzard, but somehow i can only now move 4 things to my guild bank when i click the give button or use any filter button.

for e.g.
chat log will read:

gBanker: Moving 30 item(s)
gBanker: Done!

i look in guild bank, and look in bags, every time for some reason, only 4 items will move at a time. so i can click it multiple times (every 4 items) to move everything over, but it has made using this quite difficult.

i've tried it without any addons and resetting my ui, but i will keep messing around to see what is going on.

thanks SaraFdS!

Thanks for a great addon.

A couple questions/requests:

1. I noticed in the past someone asked about whether this mod could sort the item based on type. For instance; herbs, ore, flasks, pots, etc. Is there any update on whether this is possible?

2. Do you have way to have the functions take from all tabs of the bank. Banks have a search function that spans all bags, i would imagine there is a way for this to search all 8 tabs of the bank, remove the items in question and put them all in your bag?

What I'm getting to realize is that NO mod out there allows you to organize your guild bank efficiently. I'm no programmer/lua artist so I am sure that this is very difficult. Your addon does the next best thing, lets me pull out items from each tab and then put them back in. However, that is really causing a problem when mats get put in the wrong tabs on occasion. It would be great to have this mod work more like an organizing tool for my guild bank. Again, I have yet to find one that does but yours is the closest to actually working.

Thank you for considering.

I fixed a probably pretty stupid problem/error, which must have been in there for years, but only occurs on the very first startup, and probably not even for everyone.

Thorough testing of every possible case is the worst, if not even impossible part in development, so thanks for not silently dropping the addon, leaving me thinking everything is fine, but raising the issue and providing information to help fix it, it's greatly appreciated.

Just fixed a problem with initializing default values when running the addon for the first time.

Please try the updated version, once it's uploaded and approved.

On a side note: did you try "/gbanker"? The shortcut /gb may be taken by another addon.

Re: Yes!

sometimes i would love to see an Option to blacklist an Item for a special Button
- to easily Pick up all my Inks except Blackfallow Ink and/or Inferno Ink...
A specific Blacklist for every QuickButton? Sounds useful and not too hard to implement. Challenge Accepted!

Allowing you to choose how many QuickButtons you want to have should be easy to implement, it'll be in the next version.

About a faster way to enter item names / move items: well, I'll try!

Nice work, nice addon!

I have some suggestions:

-it is possible to get the itemname per mouseover and then as example, ALT-Right or ALT - Left click to drop or push the items, like already you done?

-or get the item name with shift to put the name in your addon string window?

-expend the amount of the quickbuttons, or its already possible?

keep on
