Version: 5.1.3
by: Monolit [More]
m_ActionBars or monoActionBars
  • IMPORTANT: if you update to version 4.x from 3.x and older, you must update cfg.lua because it was redesigned.

About
  • Originally inspired by zork's amazing work with rActionBarStyler and rActionButtonStyler.
  • m_ActionBars is a very flexible lightweight add-on that handles your action bars.
  • This add-on is making use of default blizzard's action bars
  • This add-on aimed mainly for people with at least some experience in using lua-configured add-ons as all settings located in cfg.lua.

Key features
  • no GUI;
  • allows user to use up to 6 action bars (5 default + 1 extra action bar);
  • removes all the default action bars textures;
  • supports vehicle, totem, pet, stance and shapeshift bars;
  • built in totem timers functionality and ability to remove totems by right-clicking them;
  • custom exit vehicle button position;
  • styles action buttons' borders;
  • out of range/mana coloring;
  • allows player to choose the orientation and amount of rows for each bar;
  • grants the ability to set custom position, size and spacing between the buttons;
  • allows user to set number of visible buttons for each bar;
  • the ButtonsStyler module allows to hide/show hotkeys, macro names, item count numbers, and also to set custom font for each of those text fields.
  • key-bindings shortcuts;
  • built in HoverBind functionality (/kb to enter bindings mode) that also works directly from spell book and macros menu;
  • supports MicroMenu bar;
  • option to show bars only in combat;
  • 2 special bars for raid marks and world marker flares;
  • option to control bars' opacity;

suggest the worldmark/raidmark can add more config, just like "show bar when have a target", "show bar when have raid assist".
& if I'm in a party and not partyleader can't see the worldmark bar but in party everyone can use worldmark.
This makes sense, yeah, however I'm not sure it should be an option rather than default logic.
Yes you can mark everything while soloing, but there's not much point in it, thus bar should not be available. Same thing during the raid, it should stay disabled unless you have assist or leader.

@Monolit

i've use "wmarker" before, it can config show/hide by target and raid assist, so i guess the function can be achieve--maybe.(actually, this is not a very important demand......just i think if can show only have a target, i can move markerbar let it closer middle, then i can mark soon.)

ps.i've try to add this function by myself before but fail, my lua knowledge is too poor, as poor as my English T_T.just achieve the worldmarker/raid assist part.

now i have only one problem that is my worldmarkbar cant show when two situation: 1.i'm in combat(will show after combat) 2.i'm in a party(not raid), and i'm not a partyleader.(this situation, i can only use worldmark by marco.)

thanks.

Yeah of course it is - you have to modify \media\icon.tga texture though.

Concerning your first request - it sounds reasonable to add an option for raid mark bar, I'll add that to my 'to do' list.

Now about the world markers... there's only 1 way to implement those buttons - to use macrotext function, and for some reason (yeah, right) it causes taint. The sad thing is that it actually bugs out even default raid manager buttons from time to time, so there's actually very little I can do about that. So to explain why it hides during the combat - it was an attempt to avoid taint, but didn't really work out very well, so I will most definitely remove that functionality in upcoming version.

err... it's not missing unless you modified something, it's default bars functionality so I'm sure it does work. I play as elemental shaman or shadow priest so I see all the highlights without any issues.

Hmm, strange.. tested it with some other classes and it worked.
But with my elemental shaman, some things wonīt be displayed.
e.g. 9 stacks of lightning shield, the glow for earth shock is missing, or the paladin proc for shield of the righteous (think thatīs it? oO). I think, there are some other procs, wich wonīt be displayed.

The only things iīve changed, is in the cfg.lua. Stuff like positions and size.

Maybe i should download it again and overwrite all Files, except cfg.lua?

Shapeshift Bar/Main bar?

Hi =) Thought I would try this instead of Domino's and was pleasantly surprised! However, in a raid tonight I did have an issue. Im a disc healer so have no other forms while in this spec, however, about 4 times my main bar switched to bar 6 without me doing anything, usually just after a wipe. I could not get it to go back to normal with a r/l but instead had to log out and back in again to reset.

No idea what could be causing this, I would love to keep using this addon but if I cant find out the problem I will have to go back to Domino's =(

Thanks in advance =)

This add-on pretty much mimics the default action bars functionality therefore follows default paging behavior. The only difference to the default action bars would be the way we display extra action bar, but it's no different to Dominos, so I see no reason you could have such an issue.
I have a priest alt and I play as both: shadow and discipline specs and I have never experienced any problems with page swapping.
So my bet would be is that you have misconfigured something (key-bindings?).

Thanks for you reply! I am still using your addon but I do still have the same problem I have just been trying to work around it but it can be quite annoying at times. I get that it is the default action (havnt used default for years so caught me off guard =P) but is there any way to actually disable this? I use shift/alt/ctrl modifiers when healing and it happens when i am moving forward but still holding shift ready to put out another heal

I really dont need the paging at all except for my druid alt, have been searching the web for a way to disable but have not come across anything so far =(

Appreciate your help =)

Greetings,

Is there any way to link the right and left actionbars together so when hovered over one both show? Couldn't find any way to "hook" the left to the right and visa versa.

Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Well obviously you can write a workaround to get it working (modifying core .lua files), but for now such feature is not supported as it has very limited use.

just out of curiosity does this have Masque/Buttonfacade support and if it doesn't is that ever planned? Planning to lighten up my UI (memory wise)

Actually this looks like a rewrite of the blizz bars so blizz buff facade might work for it
