BalancePowerTracker is an addon designed to provide a highly configurable bar to track Lunar/Solar energy, Eclipse direction and Peak buff.
It also can fire wanrnings when you gain Eclipse and provides energy prediction.
It's focused on using the CPU strictly necessary and no more.

PREDICTED ENERGY:
Predicted energy analizes your current cast/GCD and adds its cast time to your current energy, so BPT predicts where your energy is going to be, and if you are going to proc any Peak or not.
Unlike former versions, calculating predicted energy is now more difficult (due to fast switch when near 0 and lag), so it's done by approximation. This means that prediction accuracy is no longer 100% (near 100 and -100 is pretty much completely accurate and near 0 you can get +2/-2, usually +1/-1 averaged)
You can configure the indicators (bar,text,icons,arrow) of the mod to either display predicted or real info.
Also, you can configure the alerts to fire when you are going to get a Peak.
(Author's note: I feel Predicted Energy is the heart of BPT, I think without this option I wouldn't have made this addon, also it has taken up most of the time invested in the addon, however, I understand people value the choice to turn this off. At least, give it a try!)
WARNING: Euphoria is untested and Astral Communion error margin is higher


Provides LibSharedMedia, Masque & MikSBT support:

  • LibSharedMedia: Bar textures, alert sounds, fonts
  • Masque: Eclipse icons skin
  • MikSBT: Fire alerts through MikSBT

FAQ:

Can I disable it out of combat?
You can't disable it out of combat, but you can turn the Alpha Out Of Combar to 0, so it won't bother you (CPU load out of combat is pretty much 0).

The energy seems a little erratic...?
Predicted energy & peak are enabled by default, with this enabled, the mod will add the energy of you current cast to the bar, if you only want to change the size & position of the energy bar, I suggest you to uncheck this option.

Is there any way to have the awesome Blizzard art?
Enable default art module, you'll get a bar like Blizzard's with some options (not nearly as many as with the Eclipse bar module).

Green bar:
BPT is unable to access the bar/border texture, check if you have uninstalled it.

How do I configure it?
Type /bpt, in the tab "addons" you will find all the options for BPT.

Castbar mode ...? When casting a spell, the Eclipse bar will turn in a sort of castbar, still showing the arrow and the energy text. Just have this in mind: this isn't a castbar mod, so it shouldn't replace it, but this option reduces the places you need to have your eyes on (you need to have the spark enabled).

I need to update the way it stores the settings, it hasn't changed since the first version, but I try to avoid making people reconfigure BPT.
Every time I add a new functionality, I add a new field in the stored table, and the table is now huge, which makes it easier to become corrupted.

You're right about the move option, but, since it can be avoided easily, I'll upload a fix when I make another updates

Ok it was a conflicting issue with the old lua file in the sharedvariables folder. Once i got rid of that and redid the settings on the new BPT it worked just fine and i was able to keep all of my old settings from my other addons as well. Thank you Div and Copial both for your help and the design of the addon. I dont know how any boomkin plays without this.

Bakayaru, what I did was I moved my WTF folder to my desktop.
Once I figured out deleting the WTF a couple times fixed the issue I went into my WTF folder and I moved the addons from both of the SavedVariables folder they were in before one by one to make sure that if something was causing BPT to crash I would know which addon it was.

This way might take a bit (30 minutes or so) of exiting the game and dragging the files back into the new WTF "SavedVariables" folders. In the end, it's totally worth it. I haven't had a problem using the addon since and not a single addon was interfering with BPT.

Yes I also run the updated BPT and Bartender 4. I will try running it alone and try modifying the wtf folder as well and get back to you.

EDIT: Well I tried all the below mentioned solutions and the only one that worked was deleting the WTF folder, however with 30+ addons and countless different setting changes at this point spending the time to redo everything to fix one addon is not something im willing to do. Thank you for your help and maybe at some point BLizzard will break everything and force me to start over anyway. Guess no more BPT....

The only other addon I was using was Bartender4.
BalancePowerTracker v1.2.1
I didn't test it alone, only with Bartender4. I will test it without bartender4.
I didn't think to rename my chache/wtf folder. I should've done that.

It only would only crash on boss fights. I did multiple rep runs with the addon. It was only after engaging Shannox it happened.

There was an update for Bartender4 one hour ago. I'm going to update that also and when we pull Rag tonight I will let you know the results of my findings doing the above.

Edit: I just turned off ALL of my addons except for BPT and started attacking the dummy and it's still crashing. I've deleted my WTF/Cache folder. It seems to be only during an eclipse.

Edit2: After deleting my WTF/Cache folder a few more times it seems to have stopped crashing. That's a little confusing but I hope it sticks.

Edit3: Seems to be stable now working with all my addons. It seems to be something with the WTF/Cache folder if you're crashing. Thanks again

Crash with v1.2.1

Can you provide me some more information:
What other addons were you running with?
What BPT version it was?
Have you tested it with BPT alone?
Have you tested it after renaming the cache/WTF folder?

I've been playing with it all the evening and I haven't crashed once, I'd be very grateful if you could answer any of the questions listed above, since you two sent the only reports I have of this issue.

Hello. First off, I would like to thank you for making this addon. I've been using it since I can remember. It's an amazing addon and I plan on using it as long as you keep updating it. Once again, thank you for creating such a helpful addon.

I'm currently in the same situation as Bakayaru. BPT keeps crashing my game and I was forced to use "Moveanything" to move to blizzard eclipse bar to a proper position. The blizzard eclipse bar is absolutely terrible and I can't stand using it. I just thought I'd post some feedback and let you know (although I'm sure you've heard already from others).

Having issues with the mod crashing my client usually on the Eclipse transitions. Has been happening repeatedly and had to swap to Eclipse Bar Plus which i would rather not use. Please let me know if this is a common and/or known issue.
