SpartanUI
SpartanUI was originally designed to free your screen by moving a majority of the interface elements to the bottom. While that is still the core focus of the primary addon and configuration it has become much more since MoP.

Whats new in SpatanUI 4.0

Starting with SpartanUI 4.0.0 SpartanUI has begun to introduce a fully theme-able system giving you multiple looks and styles.
Completely modular so that you, the user can use only the pieces you want and give you the complete control over your UI.
Faster releases, the 8 months between the last 3.x release and 4.0 was due to the massive rebuild of many internal systems. The new themes are not done. The new Components are not done, nor are all the new components done being added. Now that the core has been rebuilt the plan is to get more updates out faster.
Think something is missing? Is there that one thing keeping you from using SpartanUI? Please let me know, your comments and suggestions are what drive the development. Without your suggestions I can only add stuff based on my play style.

probably a few more places regarding tabs when hovering them, just search for font
I personally believe this would have been better to add as SpartanUI_ChatFrame, like the fileEffects and spin cam so it very easy to disable. Just an idea.

the left XP bar is toon/lvl XP obviously, the right now is a rep bar just like in the Blizz interface, if you pick a rep from the rep window and click show as XP or something like that it'll show in that area, so if you selected your guild rep for instance and make it your rep bar then it would show and you can click on it for details. So technically that already exists.

Pretty sure this isn't a Rogue issue at all, it's a problem with the rename of a few core functions with the intro of LFR, LFG and LFD, I posted the fix in the comments here a while back, I can only assume it's in the git version, if not someone should add it, cause that is an annoying bug that causes DCs

Hey guys glad to see this going again, Can someone confirm if my Alpha Trans code is in github version if not I'll make a patch, I'm also in the middle of fixing the vehicle dismount in some cases that isn't working with BT4, Things like the sandtiger box, or the chess boss in Kara, and I'll be sure to send that upstream as well.

Since I'm too lazy right now to make a git hub account (but I will I promise), I'd like to suggest we start on a proper options page for SpartanUI instead of just CLI commands, I think this would be great from everyone and would keep new options nice a clear and a good place to be able to turn off new code like the new chat window changes which I'm also not a fan of. I haven't' done such a thing yet but I'm learning to so if I get one running I'll send it upstream as well, but it's something I've always felt SpartanUI should have.

Thanks again for Taking this over form Zliver I have really missed it since Zliver's life got so busy, and Zliver I hope all is well for you with your daughter and such.

EDIT: After lots of learning about the bartender4 hooks I fixed vehicles, SpartanUI still does lots of it improperly but it's a start and works. I also added and placed the ExtraAction Button for Ultraxion and Madness so it's centred just above the minimap. The vehicle leave and option buttons will show up just below the minimap over the coords, unless someone has a better idea? But I can now leave my sandtiger box!

EDIT 2: I now have it changing health and power bars to use short notation, I'm just working on a config switch for it. Also would like to know how many float decimals to leave, isaias1983, would you like 1 or 2, 2 really isn't much shorter to be fair.

Try opening bartender, go to profiles and select the Spartanui profile, that should place the bars to where they are supposed to be.

Decreased FPS with Player Frames and Rogue in Dungeon

I submitted what I think is a bug report on your bug tracker regarding a severe hit on FPS while playing a rogue that only occurs in dungeons and is only resolved by disabling the player frames.

actually spartan ui should set up everything by itself

if not, try and check the following:
  • make sure all addons included in the download are active (on char screen), also make sure that out of date addons get loaded
  • ingame, enter "/sui reset" in your chat (without the quotes)
  • if above didn't help, try renaming your WTF folder to Something like WTF_ and try again (although that shouldn't be necessary)

setup

maybe a dumb question but i really don't understand how to setup my bars like in the screenshots i'm new to this i usually never change interface but this is a nice one so i wanna try it, but can somebody explain/tell me how to get everything like in the screenshot?

I have a suggestion for a future release; would it be possible to have it so one could toggle guild XP and Guild rep in the right Exp bar.

I am not sure that bar was ever used for anything since the inception of Spartanui would be nice to make it do something.

I really don't know squat about coding but may try some testing on this myself.

I've downloaded the latest changes from the beta branch and currently working on a toggle to turn on and off the zork rChat code. It annoys me that much too. Should have something by tonight, I'll pm it to Vaebris so it can get implemented by the next beta.

edit- Changes made, tested, and sent to Vaebris. Also, removing Module-ChatFrame.lua may cause errors, so I'd advise against that.

Bravo on taking over SpartanUI! It's my favourite UI by far and I'm glad that it's being worked on once again

However, is there a way to disable the new chat modifications so I can revert it back to the default chat? It does nothing for me personally, and I dislike how I'm missing the buttons on the left, like the Friends window so I can see how many are on, as well as the new typing box on the top with it's white border; not so keen on that either I'm afraid.

If this is possible I'd greatly appreciate the directions to revert back to default chat.
