F.A.Q
Q. How do i Move my focus/party/raid?
A. As of 3.1 All frames are now movable by holding Alt and dragging no need to unlock or lock them with a command or button.

Q. I changed a option but nothing changed.
A. Some of the new options in 3.1 for Raid/Party Frames require a /reload to be done after changing them, no it will not always be like this but in order to get it out in time for MOP launch day some convenience had to be sacrificed.

Installation
Disable oUF if you have it installed, This is a addon library used for unit frames SpartanUI has this built in and having a version not compatible with SpartanUI will break things.

List of slash-commands:

**type all options in the chat box**
/sui (shows options window)
/spin (Toggles Spin Cam)
/sui version (Shows which version of SpartanUI you are using)

Whats New & Coming for up for SpartanUI in 3.1 and beyond

High customization - All Options are being rewrote for 5.1 MOP
Profiles - with options being rewrote SpartanUI will now support profiles
No more slash commands!
Raid frames with healer mode and DPS mode. One focuses on a quick overview while healer mode will draw attention to those low on health and larger frames than in dps mode
Focus Fame and focus Target have been redesigned and are movable
And more... (Comment, add to my list!)

3.1.2:
-Added Monk Chi bar

3.1.3:
Fix - Monk class icon not showing in party frames.
Fix - Monk Statue moved to the right of the CHI.
Fix - Party frames now properly update when someone was invited while in combat.
Fix - Party Frame not showing up after leaving battleground.
Fix - Moved the Extra Power bar (Petrification bar in MV) to the left so its aligned with the player frame to account some people having a issue in Shado-pan Monastery where the bar overlaps with the extra action button on the last boss. (Temporary Fix, Long term this will move only if it needs to)
Change - SpartanUI no longer hides blizzard buffs, blizz does not allow addons to turn off buffs without some lengthy work arounds.
Removed - Player buffs are no longer displayed on the player frame.
Fix - Misc bugs.

Please could you put the buttons back in esp for those of us who are not particularly finely dextrous. The scroll buttons works, however, being limited in fine control it gets frustrating v v quickly There seems to be an ongoing issue with button lock conflict between spartan and bartender. Bartender has a button lock facility which works fine when spartan isn't loaded; however it doesnt always work when spartan is loaded. As its been on for a while i'm guessing you know about it and being erratic it leads me to believe, right or wrong, there's no clear solution. however if you or anyone else knows of one or a workaround that seems to be working for some I'd love to know it Last edited by jeremy1048 : 10-18-10 at 03:52 PM.

i tried the scaling in bartender, but seems like it's something else, but thanks for the hard work and good upload anyways

I have not been looking forward to the eventual replacement over the past 6 months. Tell us what you need and how we can help. Sorry to hear Curse's attitude but it doesn't surprise me, I have set spartan on ignore from their client. I would like to also echo my agreement on having an option to turn off party frames and more configuration options for the UI. For now, I am using the default Blizzard party frames "Use Raid-Style Party Frames". It serves its purpose. Anyways, thank-you and let us know what you need.

EDIT: Party buffs is blinking like a maniac :P

1st is a Bartender4 issue, and I do not modify Bartender4 in any way, all I do is supply the latest version available upon my upload.
That being said, I'll take a look and check if I need to recalculate the scale of the bars.

2nd is due to a problem in some of Blizzards code (a function that update 5 times pr sec), I am working on a alternative solution to using Blizzards function, but coding this week will be slow since I got my daughter.

About renaming, I'm not entirely sure that the current license would allow me to do this, and besides I see no harm in giving the original author('s) credit for all their work (keeping the name is giving em credit in a way).

1: I am working on a system for showing / hiding of the party frame, that will involve variables that could be set in a slash-command, so yeah this will eventually be doable when the system have been finished.

2: This is on the todo list, but currently have a low priority due to known issues, when they are fixed and confirmed fixed I will eventually be working on a GUI.

Zilver Premium Member Forum posts: 29 File comments: 137 Uploads: 10	I just spend around 2 hours trying to setup SpartanUI (FanUpdate) onto Curse, to try and help those with problems caused by Curse Client. Sadly they are not interested in me having my FanUpdate there unless I get in contact with Ansu and get permission to create the project, so for now (maybe even for all time) I will not upload to Curse, so if SpartanUI show up in your Curse Client and you wish to use my version set it to "Ignore", that way it'll not touch your SpartanUi files. Edit: Btw Tonight I'll release a version where the Raid PopupMenu issues have been fixed, the fix is in the Google Code repository already, should anyone wanna grab it early, I simply have no more time right now, need to go pick up my daughter. Really appreciate you updating this ui. I love it so much. One major issue for me is that it is no longer showing that I have agro by turning my character's picture red. This is also affecting the visual for my selected target agro as well.

This isn't an issue with sui. If you go into the actual raid browser (press o, raid tab) you can set it fine by right clicking on your tanks and setting it. If anything, healbot should work on recognizing that roles are already selected the way it recognizes it in a random dungeon setup.

Thanks for the error message, this makes the debugging a lot easier, I'll be looking into this.

Zilver, we had tried the reset previously with no success, but with the updated download you had up this morning it did work and wanted to let you know that. Everything's golden now, thanks for the work you are doing here!

Fixed the error, I had to compleatly remove spartan and install it fresh. As I mentioned before curse kept trying to "update" it back the the old version and I had to keep re-installing it again.

I agree every once in awhile my Curse Client "Updates" my spartain UI back to what they have on file which is the old broken version. And I have to keep coming back here and instaling it again.

I think the work you do is good enough to stand on its own; I think you should rename it and register with Curse and other such WoW services. For legalities, I suggest that you Google "gnu site:spartanui.com". From there, you can see a Google cache of a page where SenseiSin, a forum moderator, said that "Spartan UI is currently being developed under GNU General Public License v3." There may be a similar statement in the source code. I'm not a lawyer, but if you were to rename your project, say, AthenianUI, and develop it under GNU GPL v3, I think you'd be ok. Whatever you may do, thank you for all your hard work. It is making my gaming experience much more pleasant.
