Required Addons

I found a bug how do i tell you? How do i request a feature?

Simple, open a ticket on the web. Also you can now join us on facebook

F.A.Q
Q. How do i Move my focus/party/raid?
A. As of 3.1 All frames are now movable by holding Alt and dragging no need to unlock or lock them with a command or button.

Q. I changed a option but nothing changed.
A. Some of the new options in 3.1 for Raid/Party Frames require a /reload to be done after changing them, no it will not always be like this but in order to get it out in time for MOP launch day some convenience had to be sacrificed.

Installation
Disable oUF if you have it installed, This is a addon library used for unit frames SpartanUI has this built in and having a version not compatible with SpartanUI will break things.

List of slash-commands:
**type all options in the chat box**
/sui (shows options window)
/spin (Toggles Spin Cam)
/sui version (Shows which version of SpartanUI you are using)

Features
  • Uses very little third-party code in an effort to remain self-contained
  • Almost zero-setup allows you to install and use it without tons of configuration
  • Support for almost any screen resolution, while favoring widescreen
  • SpinCam - provides a spinning camera effect when AFK
  • FilmEffects - which provide film-like grain effects on your screen
  • Party frames designed to go with the look and style of your player frames
  • Designed to use very little processor time or memory
  • All original artwork with high-res textures and 1:1 ratio for 30" displays
  • Built in reputation and experience bars
  • Integrated coordinates and zone information
  • UnitFrames that fit in with the overall design

Whats New & Coming for up for SpartanUI in 3.1 and beyond
  • High customization - All Options are being rewrote for 5.1 MOP
  • Profiles - with options being rewrote SpartanUI will now support profiles
  • No more slash commands!
  • Raid frames with healer mode and DPS mode. One focuses on a quick overview while healer mode will draw attention to those low on health and larger frames than in dps mode
  • Focus Fame and focus Target have been redesigned and are movable
  • And more... (Comment, add to my list!)
3.1.2:
-Added Monk Chi bar

3.1.3:
Fix - Monk class icon not showing in party frames.
Fix - Monk Statue moved to the right of the CHI.
Fix - Party frames now properly update when someone was invited while in combat.
Fix - Party Frame not showing up after leaving battleground.
Fix - Moved the Extra Power bar (Petrification bar in MV) to the left so its aligned with the player frame to account some people having a issue in Shado-pan Monastery where the bar overlaps with the extra action button on the last boss. (Temporary Fix, Long term this will move only if it needs to)
Change - SpartanUI no longer hides blizzard buffs, blizz does not allow addons to turn off buffs without some lengthy work arounds.
Removed - Player buffs are no longer displayed on the player frame.
Fix - Misc bugs.

Addons aren't enabled in the Beta yet, so no hurry.

Nice work btw. No problems so far and I'm running your latest posted build.

I would like to add my voice to those who are asking for a Options/config UI window tied to the game addons tab.

FOV

Please dont do that FoV tweak you did in this new version, it gives me a headache or give us the option to turn it off. Also, let us change the chat box back to default

if it is again I may just asked to get added to it, I'm constantly working on it anyhow and it might the nice to have more then one person on it so it keeps going, to be honest after going through it as much as I have I think the code could use an entire rewrite, the naming convention in the code is very poor at best and the way things are used are a little odd compared to exampled from ACE3 and other projects. I'm considering doing just that to be honest, if I do I'll open a new git hub, maybe under the name SpartanUI3 or something, all previous maintainers/contributors, will be welcome and the original Author will have all rights to it of course. Anyhow that is only a thought at this point but I agree with you it's gone through lots of authors without a major full release. Thought it hasn't been long I think the new guy will be back.

Here is my current versions with my changes, it has nothing to do with current Git, and doesn't have all the new options it has.

Hopefully at some point i'll check out the current Git version and port over my changes so they can get added in.

Some of the new stuff in my version is

/sui alpha [0-1] -- I use 0.6 @todo need to figure out how to alpha XP/Rep Bars
/sui notation [0,1] -- 0 = Full eg. 1000, 1 = Short eg. 1K

I Also have the Vehicle Leave Fix for some Vehicles eg. Sandbox Tiger, just make sure that you reselect the Spartan Template from Bartender and reload.

I'm working on a proper and Config GUI as my next addition.

http://www.southofheaven.org/SpartanUI/

Zilver, Vaebris or Baine feel free to use and merge anything you like from this, I'm only doing t for me personally as I have little time to test and I'm using it to learn the WoW API I can't guarantee any of it is efficient, still learning after all

Pic with the Alpha Trans on.

I checked my code and those two sections above are not commented out. I'm doing that now to see if this fixes the problem for me.

Regarding Bartender and oUF versions (I'm checking to be sure I'm using latest versions). I find oUF on wowinterface which is listed as version 1.5.16 but the version I have installed (I think using the one from the SUI package) says version 1.5.8 in the oUF.toc [weird]. Regarding Bartender, I'm using version 4.4.20.1 which is the latest version from wowinterface and curse.

Thanks!
Yeah that is the right stuff, SpartanUI used to move the LFG (Now called LFD) eye icon and animation to the player portrait, and in doing so they rewrote the animation section and the count on it for the CD and deserter portions, this is the code that is an issue, simply removing it and letting the native UI deal with it and put it back on the minimap solves this, I'm sure it could be reworked but it's a huge PITA and I find it looks better on the minimap so I didn't bother.

And yes I'm currently using oUF 1.5.16 without issue as a matter a fact there are lots of bug fixes in it, oUF is only used for player and party frames for the healthier and energy bars. I'm currently working on trying to animate those like it was in the original SpartanUI.

Ya, I've had the same problem with a another character now too (a hunter). I think I found the post you're referring to:

open "SpartanUI_PlayerFrames/scripts/Unit-PlayerFrame.lua"

lines 121 to 125 will be this:

if ( mode == "time" ) then
StartAnimating(self);
else
StopAnimating(self);
end

change it to this:

if ( mode == "time" ) then
--StartAnimating(self);
else
--StopAnimating(self);
end

I don't know what other ramifications this might have, but... it seems to work for me to suppress the endless errors in my limited testing. Your mileage may vary, caveat emptor, etc. etc. etc.
