Intro

A simple chatmod.

Features

- editbox to the top
- URL copy
- ALT-invite for players
- SHIFT-mousewheel scrolling for scrolling chat up and down at once
- chatframe colorfading disabled (color stays at the one you selected for the chat)
- alpha for not selected chat tabs can be changed from 0-1
- chat tab graphics can be switched on/off
- makes chatframe movable anywhere (edges of screen)
- adds outline to chatfont
- removes buttons
- channel name replacements
- removes black bar on combat log

- chatframes do not fade color anymore on mouseover, they stay at the color you defined. if you have no color defined it will be transparent otherwise not. to change the chatframe color rightclick the chattab and go to the colorpicker
- the fading.lua has a small config at the top. you can enable/disable the tab textures and you can set the alpha of the tabs that are not currently selected. (range 0 = invisible till 1 = fully visible)

I set the font size to 8 in .lua and it didn't change for the main window in game. So I added a simple hack to enable handling through the ingame options for more sizes. Code: for i = 1, 24 do CHAT_FONT_HEIGHTS[i] = i + 6 end Add the above code somewhere inside the file and will give you options for 7 to 30 pt size.

I should also note that the main chat tab font seems to be dictated by the blizzard menu where you can select 12, 14, 16, or 18. Changing the font in core.lua seems to have no effect. It -does- work for the combat log, edit box, and chat tab labels though. Unfortunate since 13 point is really optimal for 1650 UIs. UPDATE: the bug appears to be that if you select a font size from the UI for the chat frame, the addon will be overrided by that selection, but only for the default chat window, not the combat log, edit box, or tabs (which incidentally do not have options for font size in the UI). once you select a font size in this manner, you CANNOT change it to something else via core.lua. Nameplate font is a Blízzard variable that references the Arial font in your fonts folder. You can replace that by any other font variable or fontpath. Like "Interface\\AddOns\\myFontFolder\\myfont" etc.

Lines 29, 45, 66 are handling the font size.

Since my english isnt the best i gonna ask in german^^:

Zork, in früheren Posts steht, dass man die Schrift beliebig ändern kann, auch als statische Angabe. Bei dir ist default NAMEPLATES_FONT. Da ich auch rNAmeplates nutze, geh ich davon aus, dass es ausreichend ist wenn ich da die Schrift setze?

zoktar A Cliff Giant Forum posts: 72 File comments: 268 Uploads: 1	ok, it seems to work if i open the polish/edit box. maybe this is how it was intended to work. anyway cheers. i was looking through the luas, to see if it was possible to hide chat "tab" while it was not active, by click editbox etc. ei the General, Combat Log, you grab on to move the boxes. when i looked in fades.lua, it looked like it was already setup for this, tho that could be refereing to the chatframes themselvs and not the tabs. edit, ok i read previous posts, and so im clear, the tabs are faded as they should be, but i want to fade the tab text Last edited by zoktar : 12-04-10 at 04:41 PM.
