Actually I'm not sure if this is possible by keeping the default nameplates without replacing them using massive amounts of onUpdate scripts (to track the castbar) which is bad.

hi

man i love your addon and i wish i can never replace it ..
one of my biggest concerns is adding the feature of "Ability to show cast bars on nameplates for all targets" ..

this feature was in a very old addon called "overhead" .. and in tidy plates too
can you please do that ?

You might want to try this patch: http://www.wowinterface.com/download...psisPatch.html

It doesn't display the full name but shortens it in a different way so that you can see the last word in the name. I found it useful.

If you increase the SetPoint of the name object yes. Currently it takes the width of the healthframe as a base. Advanced only. Look out for "name" and "setpoint"

Hello,

First of all, all your AddOns are really great, thanks for it all!
Now for my qeustion, is it possible to only have 2 colors, green for your allies and red for all your enemies? Aka no class colors?

Hi ! i love this addon and i'm also using more of your addons within my ui, i would be gratefull if you could write some peace of code to make the nameplates change colors depending on the threat ! i have used headline and it already has this fonctionnality implemented but i would love to use yours as it has such a sobre look !

That's too bad :/

Aloft was (is?) able to do this, but as far as I know, they rewrote the whole nameplate code and using nothing from the original blizzard nameplates.

You can't. You don't have unit access. Thus you would update threat on UnitHealth event which is wrong.

Only thing that would help is hooking the SetVertexColor widget of the threatcolor texture. (the texture gets colored on threat change)
But I think I tried that some time ago without any positive outcome.

If you would have access to the unit you could register the threat event, but currently you can't. But...well you could try and look if f.unit is filled with a unitID, if that is the case that would be your unit.

I agree with you.
I tried to implement that functionality myself, but my knowledge of the wowapi is very limited.

Maybe zork can help us here a bit.
How can I test if I have aggro? I tried something like
