SanUI

This is an interface for the raiding druid, integrating all specs. Works for other classes, though a bit more configuration is neccessary (I'll help). It supposedly only works if your monitors resolution is at least 1280 x 1024 by virtue of Tukui. Suggestions and criticism welcome

See my Author Portal for some mods for SanUI (mostly about the action bars by now).

After your first login
  • The installation procedure of Tukui will start. Just klick "Ok" (or whatever's there for you) 4 times and let it reload your UI.
  • Type "/moveui" to move different aspects of the UI.
  • Configuration of Tukui (particularly the UI-Scale) can be done via typing "/tukui"
  • Besides the minimap is a box with an 'a'. Click it, a menu will appear. You can switch Modes there. Access to different addon configurations can be configured in SanUI/profiles.lua (dbm, altoholic and the world pvp frame visibility are configured as examples).

More on Usage
  • SimpleAuraFilter let's you reclaim your buff area by filtering. Simply shift-rightclick any buff you don't want to see anymore. It will be cancelled in this process, but never again show up, even if you have it. Note that there different profiles for Healer, Chicken, Bear and Cat mode, which have to be configured separately (just activate the right mode and go nuts shift-rightclicking).
  • Directly below the minimap to the left there's a box saying something like "1 Problem". That's from Energized. Mouseover to see the tooltip (which buffs you're missing from the group you're in).
  • On the right hand side of Skada's main window, there's a little cube. Right-click it to reset Skada's data, left-click to toggle Skada's visibility.
  • Click stuff. There are a lot of menus, go find them (special hint: middle and right mouseclick on the minimap).

Configuration

About Config\profiles.lua: Its purpose is to support user-made modes. A mode is a state of the UI consisting of several profiles for different addons or parts of the UI. It's commented well, so read there (and I'll help via forums). Important: If you're not a druid, you probably want to edit this. If you need help, let me know though the forum.

FAQ
  • Q: Is this a complete interface for a raider?
  • --> A: Probably not. You might at least want a boss mod, clique, and bugsack/buggrabber.
  • Q: In your screenshot, some of your actionbuttons glow. Mine don't. What's up with that?
  • --> A: You need to install Tukui_ActionHighlight (available on tukui.org) for that.
  • Q: You've skinned CoolLine and Skada. Will there be problems with AddOnSkins Tukui?
  • --> A: No. I did test, and nothing bad happens. You might want to disable the CoolLine and Skada skins of AddOnSkins Tukui, otherwise those will be skinned twice. That's not a real problem though, so if you like it that way, keep them enabled.

Yeah that's a bug, they should only be there if your spec is shadow. So let's get this straight: When you log in for the first time of the day, the orbs are visible? And if you /rl, they are not there? That does not make sense... please clarify If you reloaded the ui, do the orbs appear at any point during play? Can you identify the circumstances?

Did Soo 10 man tonight and this Ui works a treat. Thank you for helping me get it set up for my priest. There is however one thing I'd like to get your input on. Each time I log on, under the player unit frame, I get the Shadow Orb counter. (3 dark purple spheres) My 2 spec's are Disc and Holy. When I /rl the UI they go away each time without fail. If that's what I need to do each time then it's np as it only takes a second but I couldn't find anything in the set up to turn them off and I noticed when reading another player had a similar issue.
thanks again.

The extra buttons are fantastic and work great. They're totally functional and of course they don't make the UI look bad because they're hidden. To be fair they actually wouldn't look bad at all if they were showing but I certainly prefer them on mouse over.
Also no more error about Tukui_Filger. Everything seems to be working perfectly. I'll look into a combat text addon tomorrow. Will try and duplicate the font you've used because I really do like it.

Thank you so much for your time and patience!

Wow that's plenty more buttons, thank you! Mouse over is perfect. I love the look of the UI with the amount of buttons that are visible. If I download from here now everything should be set?

I'm on 1920x1080 too, so that should work. Try any combat text addon, there should not be any problem. I've enabled 24 more buttons, it's on mouseover so shouldn't matter, right?

I'm really happy with the raid frames where they are. I was going to ask you if I could install a combat text addon without breaking anything. I don't know why the picture I posted shows a large gap between the bottom of the action bars and the bottom of the picture because in game that gap isn't there.

The extra action bar would just be perfect. It literally is like 6 more buttons I need so it doesn't even have to be a full action bar. Not even sure if that helps?

No problem about he upload either. I'll delete my old files and do a clean install tonight and let you know how it went.

Thank you so much for the help!

Oh and my reselution is 1920x1080 (wide) You probably don't need to know that now that I've said the picture
isn't showing the correct placement of the UI elements.

I've coded that bar thingy. I did some testing, but please provide feedback if it works. See

Ok, update on the combat text thingy: That's just the way it is, sorry to say. The text is in the default position set by Blizzard, and it's just the raidframes that get in the way (I did never notice since I don't use that combat text, it's just the part for your own effects). You can check the following out:

http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=36671

Or you could try any combat text addon, I'm pretty sure we could manage to stick the font in it.

Otoh, I can tell you how to move the raid frames, if you want them somewhere else.

I can't find anything labeled "Tukui_Filger". Not in the TukUI settnings nor in the Addons List.
All I have in the list is Tukui Addon Menu, Tukui Broker, Tukui Config UI, and Tuk UI.
Ok, that's the problem, I didn't properly upload. I made a new upload of SanUI-5.4.1.1, please download it as soon as it is available. The problem should go away. Sorry for that!

I'll get you a screen shot of the combat text. It may be working as intended and just me mistaking it for a bug. The reason I say this is because, when I do a pet battle for example the damage text is where you'd expect it. When I heal the healing text comes up through the middle of the screen and fades out with that really cool looking font I might add. But if I cast a damaging spell there's no combat text at all. Perhaps because I'm a healer? So I switched on the Blizzard Combat text and that is when it comes from behind the raid frames. This, I think, is due to the fact that on a default Blizzard UI the raid frames would not be where they are with your UI. So it gives the appearance of coming from behind the raid frames. Only way to stop this is to turn it back off. So the short of it and the question I should be asking is. How to I turn on the damage combat text so it shows as well as my heals?
That should be set via the usual interface option (the one from blizzard), as tukui just replaces the font.

Action bars. Very sorry I didn't explain it very well. I'd like more buttons. I use Shift+1,2,3 and 4 so I'd ideally not like to cycle through action bars. However I love the way the UI looks and I think any extra "visible" action bars / buttons would damge the synergy of the UI. So extra buttons that only show on mouse-over would be fantastic. Is this possible for me to do from my end?
I'll get you something hacked up, stay tuned!

Here is the screenshot. You'll see "Archangel" is behind the raid frame and when there's a full raid I can't see anything that's behind it.
The whole screenshot looks odd, why is there so much space at the bottom? That's probably the reason, since the font seems to appear below your char, it's just the UI elements that are way up there. Otoh, the raid/player/target frames look about right... I'll test with my priest. What resolution are you playing on?

Thank you so much for your help and I feel like such a complainer.
Please don't, you provide valuable testing

Ok, that really shouldn't happen. Please make sure the addon Tukui_Filger is loaded indeed, and then c&p the following line into the chat box and post the output here:

Lua Code:
  1. /script print(SanUI[1]["Modes"]["Heal"]["Filger"])

What class are you playing? Did you edit any of the config files? Did you update SanUI or was it a new install? Are you sure that's the only message printed?

When I activate Floating Combat Text, the text comes from behind the raid frames. I'm thinking there's probably not a fix for this since I believe it's the standard Blizzard placement for it. So would I need to install a Scrolling Combat Text add-on? And, if so, Would it still retain the font you've set because I really like it.
I did not edit the combat text, that's from tukui. What you describe sounds strange. Does all text come from the raid frames, or just healing/damage? Could you make a screenshot?

Is there a way for me to enable an extra action bar? Really, just another 5 buttons would be perfect! If I could enable one and have it hidden so it didn't mess up the look of this otherwise fantastic UI it would be great!
I could tell you what code to add to what file. Or just provide the full file for you... So, where should it be? What do you mean by 'hidden', do you want it shown in mouseover or what? You do realize that bar1 can be cycled with Shift-2 and the like?

I really do like this UI. The look, functionality, even the painless set up is great. These are just a few "quality of life" changes really.

Thank you in advance!
Great you like it, and thanks for the bug reports. We'll get that sorted out for sure

Hey chy,

thanks for that bug report, some C&P reversal went wrong. I won't have access to wow for another week, so the fix will have to wait, sorry!

As a quick workaround, open the coolline config (press Escape, choose Interface, click on the Addons tab, there should be coolline, too) and find the option that says "save per char" (should be pretty much down the options window). Make sure it is enabled, and reload the UI, everything should be ok from then on.
