SanUI  Updated this week!  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 5.4.0.4

SanUI

This is an attempt at an interface for the raiding druid, integrating all specs. Worksfor other classes, though a bit more configuration is neccessary (I'll help). It supposedly only works if your monitors resolution is at least 1280 x 1024 by virtue of Tukui. Suggestions and criticism welcome

After your first login
  • The installation procedure of Tukui will start. Just klick "Ok" (or whatever's there for you) 4 times and let it reload your UI.
  • Type "/moveui" to move different aspects of the UI.
  • Configuration of Tukui (particularly the UI-Scale) can be done via typing "/tukui"
  • Under the minimap is an arrow. Click it, a menu will appear. You can switch Modes there. Access to different addon configurations can be configured in SanUI/profiles.lua (dxe and altoholic are configured as examples).

More on Usage
  • Your buffs can be filtered by SAF. Simply shift-rightclick any buff you don't want to see anymore. It will be cancelled in this process, but never again show up, even if you have it. Note that there different profiles for Healer, Chicken, Bear and Cat mode, which have to be configured separately (just activate the right mode and go nuts shift-rightclicking).
  • Directly below the minimap to the left there's a box saying something like "1 Problem". That's from Energized. Mouseover to see the tooltip (which buffs you're missing from the group you're in).
  • On the right hand side of Skada's main window, there's a little cube. Right-click it to reset Skada's data, left-click to toggle Skada's visibility.
  • Click stuff. There are a lot of menus, go find them (special hint: middle and right mouseclick on the minimap).

Configuration

About profiles.lua: Its purpose is to support user-made modes. A mode is a state of the UI consisting of several profiles for different addons or parts of the UI. It's commented well, so read there. Important: If you're not a druid, you probably want to edit this. If you need help, let me know though the forum.

FAQ
  • Q: Is this a complete interface for a raider?
  • --> A: Probably not. You might at least want a boss mod, clique, and bugsack/buggrabber.
  • Q: In your screenshot, some of your actionbuttons glow. Mine don't. What's up with that?
  • --> A: You need to install Tukui_ActionHighlight (available on tukui.org) for that.
  • Q: You've skinned CoolLine and Skada. Will there be problems with AddOnSkins Tukui?
  • --> A: No. I did test, and nothing bad happens. You might want to disable the CoolLine and Skada skins of AddOnSkins Tukui, otherwise those will be skinned twice. That's not a real problem though, so if you like it that way, keep them enabled.

Included addons and credit
  • From http://tukui.org: Tukz (Tukui), Safturento (Tukui_Addon_Menu), FourOne (Tukui_Filger), Ztango (Tukui_Broker), Elv (Skada and DXE skin code), Tacsko (Tukui_Coolline)

  • From http://wowinterface.com: ngollon (SimpleAuraFilter, port to 4.0 by me), hankthetank and gwyd (oUF_hank_v3), hungtar (oUF GCD), kameelyan (ouf_bossbars), totalpackage (CoolLine)

5.4 SanUI revived. Numbering scheme now follows Wow patch numbers to indicate compatibility. Everything ported to current Wow, numerous updates. Now ships without WTF folder. Feral mode splitted up into SanBear and SanCat.

2.3.1 Update to Tukui 24.22, Skada 1.3-8; improved and fixed raid frames, added raid pets frame; raid frames: added more Dragon Soul raid debuffs, properly displaying deep corruption for heroics - added display of death/ghost/offline - removed weakened soul bar - added resurrect icon

2.3 Update to tukui 14.00; removed Tukui_Raid; improved healing frames and DD raid frames; small improvements

2.2.1 Small fixes: Skada height can't be hardcoded; exact tooltip positioning; show raid frame pets only if the raid frame itself is shown

2.0.1 Added empty SavedVars file for SanUI to make people reset their SavedVars if they used SanUI before; corrected position of the lfd status frame so it's readable again

2.0 Upgrade to Tukui 13.07; improved user mode support; removed DeathNote and enameplates; cleared up screen space

1.2.1 Repackaged, removed some unused fonts

1.2 Now includes GridStatusRaidDebuff as well as GridStatusRD_Cata; includes Death Note; includes eNamePlates (standalone version of the nameplates used anyways); removed GridStatusCloseup; has MUCH better timers; improved mode switching (profiles of SanUI); Updated tukui to 12.65

1.1.2 Update to Tukui 12.40; added SanUI for future improvements; added PvP focus castbar; minor fixes

Ok, that gives me a bit of an idea. Since I can't reproduce it, you'd have to do a little bit of testing if you're interested (if not, don't worry, just let me know, it doesn't seem to be much of a problem).

Here's what: Open the file Tukui_Filger\Tukui_Filger.lua (get notepad++ for that, it's free and great), and to to line 422. This line is empty, and I'd ask you to put the following there:

Code:
print("Switching Filger to profile ".. name)
When you change the SanUI mode, there will be a chat line with this content. Try to see if a chatline appears when the bars vanish, and if a line appears if the line reappear. If so, let me know which I'll test, too, maybe that thing occurs for me now.

Hmm, ok, I'll test that. You were specced into feral, right? And you didn't do anything special like change profiles or change forms or something? Which form were you in?

If it happens again, try to change target an let me know if that made the bars reappear.

Thanks for reporting
Yes specced into feral and nothing else than cat form, if I de-target and re-target they reappear

Ah yeah that's because I don't include Grid anymore, but an ouf layout (the one from Tukui, modded by me). Check out Clique, it does the same and works with this layout for sure (I use it, too).

Actually, I don't understand what you're saying here.

Yes I did on dummies but I think it was a conflict with another addon so it's probably not your fault

Can you tell me more about the exact circumstances?

When I change from healer mode to feral mode for instance healer grid doesnt change sometimes

and in combat sometimes the feral tracker just vanish for some reason.

Ok, I found the problem, it's easy. Disable the weakened soul bar (it's in Tukui/config/config.lua line 64).

Ok, I see you're a priest. I didn't have one available on the PTR, so that might just be the problem. Patch is just being applied here, so I can't login to live to check and fix, I'm sorry to say you'll have to wait at least until the evening here in europe.

I see you're at least using 1 other addon. Could you disable _all_ addons except the ones that come with SanUI and test? Just to make sure

If you feel like giving a little hand, here's what you could do: Type in "/fstack", which will make a window appear in one of the corners of the screen. The content changes when you move your mouse cursor. Find a place for the cursor where the number of entries of this window is low (some cm above the raid frames should do it), and then post the list from this window.
I had to drop your UI for something less appealing because I had to get my priest to 85 (I was 10% away :O), but I'll attempt it again.

I'll get back with you in a few hours with the results!

Thanks The config UI is not included in SanUI. You could download it from tukui.org (just download tukui itself und just extract TukuiConfigUI) and use it, but that would mean that all the configuration I've done would be overwritten by it and probably break some stuff (I think, I'm not 100% sure how the config UI really works). If you feel comfortable with that, go ahead.

Here's another thing, though: ConfigUI doesn't configure anything that you can't configure in the files, so it's not strictly needed. You could simply edit Tukui/config/config.lua, go to line 51 and change it to

Code:
["gridhealthvertical"] = false, -- enable vertical grow on health bar for grid mode.
so just exchange "true" by "false" in this line. Get Notepad++ for this if you didn't already

Did you enable SanUI_DebuffsAlt in variables.lua? I've not finished this feature, so i'd be surprised that someone uses it, but that's what it supposedly does.
