lumUI is a UI Compilation created having in mind utility within an attractive look focused on information. The main element of the UI is my oUF layout, oUF_lumen. This UI is full featured yet keeping it simple and easy to install without needing to configure lots of addons.

Installation & Instructions

1. Backup your Fonts folder (if you have it), Interface and WTF folder.
2. Unzip the archive into the World of Warcraft folder. Not the Addons folder, the World of Warcraft Folder. This is because inside the archive you will find a Fonts folder and an Interface folder.
3. That's it, there is no WTF because it's not needed by any addon needing configuration (at least important ones).
4. Refer to the individual addons if you need help configuring them. Most of the addons in this pack are configured through Lua editing so they might not be fitted for some users.
5. This UI works out of the package. You might only need to move some elements of the frames around. Go to oUF_lumen config file (cfg.lua) to see the available options. If you want to turn off the Class colored border edit the lumDrops.lua file. Should be self explanatory how to do it.

Addons

  • Ampere - In-game addon management.
  • Bagnon - One bag. Light, customizable.
  • BankStack - Sorts your inventory, bank, or guild bank. /bankstack /sort bags /bankstack
  • Butsu - Minimalist loot window. Border colored by quality.
  • CurrencyTracker - Shows the currently tracked Currencies in your favorite LDB Display.
  • dNameplates - Beautify the default nameplates.
  • FreebTip - Lightweight addon to tweak the default Tooltip.
  • lumAutobot - Auto Sell greys / listed items, auto repairs, auto accept friend invites... /autobot
  • lumBuffs - Simple buff addon. Skins the blizzard default buffs/debuffs.
  • lumCupCakes - General UI improvements. Quest level on quest log, ability to move quest watch frame... /cupcakes
  • lumDrops - Simple backdrop panels with class colored border.
  • lumMinimapa - Simple Minimap stripped of all the crap.
  • lumNoLove - Inspired by Cork. A simple addon to warn on important buffs like Warrior Shouts.
  • lumSmallTalk - Minimalist frame modifications. Includes url copy.
  • lumStats - LynStats based shows useful text strings like location, fps, free bag slots, Wintergrasp / Tol Barad Timers...
  • ncHoverBind - Easy binders for lazy binders. /hb
  • oUF - oUF framework.
  • oUF_Experience - Optional. Displays a Experience Bar if char is below max level on oUF_lumen.
  • oUF_AuraWatch - Optional. Displays icon Debuffs in Party/Raid.
  • oUF_lumen - The main component of this UI. Includes frames, party/raid frames, Buff Timers ( la ClassTimers), Castbar...
  • oUF_Reputation - Reputation bar support for oUF.
  • oUF_Smooth - Optional. Smooths oUF Health update.
  • oUF_SpellRange - Optional. Makes frames fade when target is out of range.
  • ProKeybinds - Lightweight graphical interface for binding keyboard and mouse buttons to spells, items and macros. /pkb
  • rActionBarStyler - The minimalist action bars from zork.
  • rActionButtonStyler - The button styler of rActionBarStyler.
  • teksLoot - Smaller, simpler, prettier loot frame. /teksloot
  • tullaCC - Simplified cooldown numbers.
  • tullaRange - Range indication on rActionBarStyler. Colors configured in-game.


Recommended Additional Plugins

Recommended addons I didn't include in the compilation but that fit in the theme of the compilation and are known for their minimalist yet functional approach as addons.



Notes

* There is a price to pay for a UI with a low need of config and simplicity... most of the stuff is edited in the lua files. Especially all addons that begin with lum (my own) are almost all edited through lua. Open the lua files in the beginning of the files there are lots of configs to tweak stuff.

* Before reporting a bug or asking a quest several times answered, first go to the respective addon that I've linked in this page and only after submit a comment. Thanks!

* The border on the minimap can be class colored the same way the bottom bar border is. Open lumDrops > lumDrops.lua and edit the last lines. The first argument (true/false) sets the class color or not. You can even add more panels following the same logic.

* The Minimap text zone color can be turned off to plain white in the lumMinimap > lumMinimap.lua options. Just set local PvPcolor = true from true to false.
Version 2.0

* First release for Mists of Pandaria.
* Updated several addons for MoP (almost all Lum addons were updated).
* Temporarily removed lumNoLuv due to need of rewrite.
* Removed lumBags due to cargBags being deprecated.
* Added Bagnon (slightly modded) as the bags addon.
* Added Currency Tracker to track Currencies (Honor, Justice Points...) on Bagnon.
* Added BankStack to automaticaly stack bags and bank!
* Added ProKeybinds addon for macro and spell bindings.
* oUF_lumen still needs some tweakin, testing and also Warlock new Powers among other little things.

Version 1.5

* Updated several addons for 4.06.
* Minor tweaks.

* Added better totem bar support with timers, styling and other little perks like fading if mounted, etc.

* Fixed the bug with lumCupcakes where the Quest Watchframe would only display 2 quests even when watching more.

Version 1.31

* Fixed several bugs on lumSmallTalk.
* Added edit box coloring in lumSmallTalk depending on what type of chat you're using (whisper, raid, guild...).
* Removed the tainting in lumBuffs so you can right click buffs in combat now.
* Added a shadow for panels created via lumDrops. Minimap has a shadow and bottom panel has a shadow now. The second argument of the function controls this.
* Added shadows for Player Buffs / Debuffs - lumBuffs.
* Added last version of oUF_lumen which it adds MainTank Frames and Main Tank Targets. Drop Shadows for Units and some fixes.


Version 1.3

* Added new addon lumNoLove. A buff reminder addon for combat buffs like Shouts. TO DO: Rogue Poisons possibly.
* Removed OmniCC.
* Added tullaCC.
* Added new addon lumCupCakes. Addon with several UI improvements like Quest Level on the quest log, ability to move the Quest Watch Frame and resize it... and possible more in the future.
* Added New version of oUF_lumen with a more smooth texture. Old texture is in the folder lumMedia.
* Added support for oUR_Reputation to oUF_lumen. Added a Tooltip to show current faction standing.
* Changed the Location display from the bottom panel to the top of the Minimap, it's now part of lumMinimapa addon.
* lumStats changed to reflect the location text changes. Tooltips changed.
* Location on the Minimap can be shown only on mouseover. Option to make it colored by zone pvp info.

* Added ncHoverBind addon.
* Removed nivBuffs addon.
* Added lumBuffs. Since it only styles the buffs/debuffs it doesn't need to use secureheaders and therefore buffs are right clickable in combat.
* Added latest version of lumAutobot with support for guild repairs funds. Alt when visiting a repair merchant ignore the use of guild funds. Guild funds can be toggle ingame by using /autbot guildfunds on/off.

Version 1.21

* Added support for !ClassColors addons for lumDrops and lumStats.
* Added option to lumBags to toggle bank segmentation on/off. Off by default.
* Removed Quest Items separation in the bags of lumBags. Blizzard classify as Quest Item some items that are not so it defeats the purpose.
* Updated oUF_lumen.

Version 1.2

* Updated Freetip.
* Updated lumStats.
* Updated lumBags with some item categories divisions.
* Added addon ncBindings.

Version 1.11

* Removed Bagnon as the bags addon.

Don't know what to say... never had that problem. Are you using other addons? If so it can be the cause.

Thats really strange. You sure you are using neverg addon for the minimap and not other?
Sometimes the magnifying glass can be hard to see if the map is showing some dark areas. Try clicking there on the spot it was suposed to be, and check if something appears.

well i dont have that icon.. :/ been checking around in lua for someway to get it to turn it on but cant find any

That is related to rActiionBarStyler. I asked zork to add such a feature, but he said he won't because the totembar is pain. So that won't prob be a future you'll see because of that. I might try to look into it 'hacking' rActionBarStyler but it would depend on how much it would need to be changed.

Totembar

First off thanks for making such a great UI, simple and easy to set up, makes using this UI across multiple toons a breeze! And my question...

So I enabled the Totembar in rActionBarStyler but have two questions regarding it:

Is there a way to make it function like the micromenu, where it only shows on mouseover? Also is there a way to get the Totembar to not show the keybinds?

neverg: I actually found one thing I miss and that's latency on the castbar, like Quartz have. Is that something that is on your to-do list?

I've been "playing" around a bit with the wonderful ui that neverg created, and i have the solution for your request.

It requires you to do a small change on the lua file so ill explain you how (its rather simple):
1st- i would advice you to make a backup of the oUF_lumen.lua file that is located on the oUF_lumen folder.

2nd- Open the file (oUF_lumen.lua) with any program like notepad.

3rd- locate de following part of the code:

NOTE: that the line that says ]]):format........ is equal to the before its is just to show you where to put the rest of the code.
Now see that place that says

on the new code? Those "cfg.raid_pos_x+10, cfg.raid_pos_y+120" is the new postion of the raid frames (so they dont go "under" the screen) i set up +10 for the x position and +120 for the y positions (so they move a bit to the left and more to the top).
Now this values are ok for me. If the raid frames still dont appear right to you, more around a bit on those values.
NOTE: if the raid is less then 26 player (i.e. like a 25 men raid) the frames will NOT be moved and they appear exacly has u had configured before.
Hope this helps.

PS- this is a quick attempt i tried to improve the ui. Most likely neverg will make his own changes and improve even more the ui.

Can't do anything right now because I'm not playing. When CC will be released I will come back and then finish the stuff I have pendent on the UI.

I don't play DK much, but never had such a problem. But if a problem exists it's within oUF. I'll pay attention if someone reports such a bug in oUF, it could be other addons you are using? I don't know, never had anyone reporting such thing. But thx.

The more I play, no matter what class (Mage, Shaman, Priest), the more I like the UI. Keep up the good work! I'm either levelling my Shaman at the moment or playing my Mage. In other words, I'm in no dire need of a 40 man raid layout for my BG healing Priest at the moment. But when its done the UI will be "complete".

Hi, sometimes the DK default runes on top left appear but it goes away when you do reload UI. I was wondering if you are having the same problem too.
