KuiNameplates  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2-7
by: Kesava [More]

Prettier nameplates with auras.
Configurable through interface options (/knp or /kuinameplates).

Notable features
  • Pixel perfect!
  • Auras!
  • Combo points and other class powers!
  • Tank mode!
  • Pretty fading in/out of frames (disable by unchecking "Smoothly fade" in options)
  • Other things!

I have a problem/question!

More up to date versions can often be found on Curse. Please try using that version before reporting a bug.

If you have any issues, feel free to PM me, post it in the comments on Curse, or on GitHub (but check through that list to make sure it's not already there, first). I don't get any sort of notification for comments posted on WoWI, so that might not be the best option.

I still use it personally but I haven't changed it for a while, because it works well enough for me. My local version is customised for my own UI layout so it wouldn't really work well for anyone else, but apart from that the version here is pretty much the same as the one I use.

Thanks.
This appears to be the new rake spell id. Type 155722 into /kslc and it should work. The lists need cleaning up since they've changed so many spells. I'll try to have that done for 6.0.

It does for me, and I haven't heard that from anyone else. Are you sure you haven't set it to disabled?
yes, i correct myself. after clearing cache and ALL savedvars and reinstalling addon, it works again. thx for your time

I've noticed that tap coloring doesn't work correctly for the new "tap to everyone" mobs, such as the rares on the Timeless Isle. If someone outside my group tags it first, KuiNameplates always shows it as tapped, even after I've hit it.

You'll have to mouseover it again if the frame ever goes off screen or otherwise disappears, because of the way nameplates are managed by the default UI.

There's nothing I can do about that besides unreliably try to guess where auras are going. Which I don't want to do.

This is nice nameplate only one question I got, about the debuff on top of plates, for example if i thrash on 3 targets, it only show the thrash on my current target and not show the other two target even tho i see they take dmg :S , only when i swap targets to them then i can see it, even tho im in a raid and other ppl maybe are targetting them? is that intended thx

KNP could potentially show what a mob is targeting as long as someone in your party or raid is targeting that mob. It could also use your mouseover but I made this for that particular case.

I understand it would be helpful when it worked but it's not something I'd want to put in the main addon. I'm in the middle of a rewrite which should make writing external things a lot easier, so I'll probably have a look at it then.

Thanks.

Hi Kesava !
First, thank you for this add-on ! I love it, I've been using with my tank for several month and I can't play without it anymore.

I have a suggestion though, which could be really usefull for tanks in raid, can it be possible to show somehow the target of the mob within the nameplate ? In raid I use it to see which mob of a pack is not on me, and it would be awesome to know when the mob is targetting someone else if it is the other tank or a dps/heal.

Thanks again
