Do not let the name fool you! All it does is simply let you access the game professions without actually having to know them, also it shows all the available recipes that profession can learn (cross faction too).

It's very helpful if you plan to make something and wish to see if you got all the mats in your bags!

+ Made the dropdown a bit more pleasing to look at.

+ Fixed taint issues with dropdown menu by implementing my own code.

+ Changed button to appear as an icon in the top-right corner of the frame, instead the bottom.

+ Updated for MoP, mostly TOC bump update.

+ Temporarily disabled bank/guild bank caching system, it had heavy performance implications and I need to figure out a better way to do this. :(

+ Added slash commands /pdb and /profd to show the menu on the screen.

1.1 (ninja update):
+ Fully implemented reagent caching and the craft count shows on the crafts properly. Added information tooltips and I consider it done until now, next version will support "Have materials" and "Has skill up" filters in combination with (guild) bank once. :)

1.1:
+ Semi-implemented reagent caching, simply put you can under "Filters" enable including bank and guild bank reagents. Why semi-implemented? Because the "Skill [Crafts]" text is missing but in reagents view everything is properly shown. There is an performance issue at hand and it somewhat works but I need to work more on how the craft counts are calculated to avoid fps drops and even freezing the game.

Added this feature, somewhat at least. Needs a bit more work but it's better than nothing so far, I think it's a very good idea and you don't have to put all in your own bags before the trade skills consider you owning the materials.

alternate mode of access

For those of us who use a tradeskill UI mod (I use MrTrader), could we have an alternate mode of access? Perhaps a /slash command such as /profdat or something similar.

I hope for not a keybind.

(I would note that /PD is used by PokeDex.)

It was a good idea Theondry (I myself kind of got annoyed of having to open the spellbook) and you can now /pdb or /profd to open the menu. 1.2 should be up soon.

WoW 4.3 live, USEnglish client/server, Professions Database v1.2.

"Scan" the auction house with either Auctioneer (latest updated SVN revision 5245 + libs revision 319) or Auction Lite (v1.8.3) looking for a particular gem. Six errors are thrown up during the scans, most of which increase their counters and all slight variations on the following. They all involve core.lua, line 228, "Usage:GetTradeSkillInfo", so not posting all six:

I've uploaded 1.3 that disables the cache system, it will add great performance boost because using the cache system for bank/guild bank had terrible hangups on my end, I need to make a better system, currently it's just too inefficient. At least these errors should be gone now.

99.999% perfect! I've been using /pdb as the source of item links to build TradeSkillMaster shopping lists. I know I can go fishing through blacksmithing for bars, but it would be useful to have access to smelting as well, for ore.

I tried to add Smelting, but it acts different because it's not made to be linkable, thus the addon needs a lot of overhauling in order to support showing it, for now I can't do that. Maybe they fix it in MOP and make it linkable, we can all hope. At least it will be consistent with the other profession spells.

I love this addon, and your code is concise, clean, and informative. I'm trying change artwork on the button, to something that fits into my UI, since I un parented it from spellbook. I THINK I've narrowed it down to

local btn = CreateFrame("Button", addon.name.."Button", UIParent, "UIPanelButtonTemplate")
The bold underlined part. Is there anyway to change that to a texture/button/artwork of my own choosing? If not, is cool. Thanks much, for your time, and this AddOn, it truly is a simple, (in use, not conception) elegant creation~

Thanks for the nice response.

The UIPanelButtonTemplate is one of the default button templates, but you can freely change it to any other button, even making your own if you like. The sources of UIPanelButtonTemplate are in the UIPanelTemplates.xml file. One can either try one of the other templates or perhaps make their own .xml file with a template, or use some other addons template for a button.

This addon is awesome! <3 <3 <3 it, but would it be possible to include a LDB option so we can access the recipe list from addons such as Titan Panel rather than the Spellbook?
