Mayron's UI - (Original) Gen1  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 7.0
by: Mayron [More]
Discontinued

I am too busy working on my new UI, MayronUI Gen3, that I am no longer going to support this. I am using code that I use to use in this UI but have expanded upon it and now it is much more advanced meaning that it would take far too much of my time to transfer it onto this UI. I no longer like using this UI either and therefore do not enjoy working on it. Thank you for using this and I hope you like my newer UI better and decide to use it. If not then no worries and thank you for your support and understanding!

The original MayronUI Gen1 is back and revamped! There are many changes and if you want to read some of them, look in the Change Log. Some of the major changes include: the Unit frames have been altered, all of the scripts have been heavily improved, the art work has been tweaked better, the Quick Swap menu is temporarily disabled since it is very hard to maintain and is not needed but if people want it back then I will work on it in future and improve on it.

Sorry that this UI has been temporarily abandoned for so long but the reason for this is because I work extremely hard on both my UI’s (MayronUI Gen2 as well) and it is very time consuming. If you like this UI and wish for it to be maintained in the future then donations can really help. I would not usually mention this but I honestly do work very hard to the point where it can feel like a job at times. I appreciate all donations as they help motivate me to work on new features and be as active as I can be.

I appreciate all constructive feedback and please help by reporting bugs. Thank you and I hope you enjoy this UI!

If you like this, you may also like my new UI:
MayronUI Gen2

----------------------------------------------------------------------
• Features
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Resolutions:
- 1920x1080
- 1680x1050

Layouts:
- DPS/Tank
- Healer
- Supported for all classes!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

How to install:

1. Back up your old WTF, Interface and/or fonts folder by moving them to a new location out of your WoW folder.

2. Download and Extract the new UI and move the new WTF, Interface and Fonts folder into your WoW folder.

You need to pick the correct WTF folder depending on what resolution you use (1920x1080, 1680x1050 or 1440x900). Delete the other ones you’re not using. Rename the WTF folder that you need to use to say just "WTF" without the quotes.

3. Rename WoW/WTF/Account/ACCOUNTNAME into your WoW Account Name (Original account name, not your battle.net email address. To find this out if you do not know already, check the same folder in your old backed up WTF folder. Make sure you type it all in Caps)

There is a helpful .txt file in the UI Pack that contains instructions on how to copy over all your saved settings, Key Bindings and Macros.

4. Load WoW and change the sound, video and interface settings to your preference. Do not change the UI scale as this will make some addons load incorrectly.

5. Next, turn on all addons in the addons menu and tick "Load out of date addons".
MayronSetup will be disabled by default. Make sure that it is enabled! Log into WoW with the character you set the WTF folder character name to.

6. Press the Setup button on the dialog box. - If it is not there you can just type "/reflux switch MayronUI".

7. You will need to manually drag and resize the chat box to the correct position using the screenshots as a guide (Right click the General tab and press unlock).

UI Tips:
The button below the Minimap indicates which Layout you are using, DPS or Healer. DPS can be sued for Tanking as well. To switch Layouts, click the button. A box will appear which lets you reload the UI in case the Raid Frames Disappear. If you are not using Grid then this will not show!

There are Increase and Decrease buttons on top of the Spells Box to increase or decrease the amount of buttons on the action bars!

Right Click the Minimap to gain access to other windows you can open including the UI F.A.Q window. This is also how you open the Calendar.

Holding the Alt key while left clicking on a Quest in the Quest Log will automatically Abandon that quest for you.

Extra: I recommend downloading your choice of a boss mod as it does not come with the UI:
Deadly Boss Mods
BigWigs

Extra: I also recommend downloading the following addons depending on what you need for your characters:
Balance Power Tracker - For Balance Druids Only
Shields Up - For Restoration Shamans
Rune It All – For Death Knights (The Rune Bar)

Extra: You may also be interested in downloading:
Power Auras Classic

Useful Slash Commands:

/ltp - This opens up Leatrix Plus which contains very useful general settings. Worth looking through.
/suf - Settings for the Unit Frames (Shadowed Unit Frames)
/bar - Bartender Settings (Action Bars)
/kgpanels config - Settings for all the graphical art panels being used - Can become very technical.
/rl - Reloads the UI
/classtimer - Settings for the timers on the top of the palyer and target frame - You can remove and add additional tiemrs through this.
/align - Places a Grid over the screen so that you can align UI elements easily.
/dcp - Opens up the Doom Cooldown Pulse Menu - The icon that shows cool downs just below the center of the screen. You will be able to move and resize it and more.
/ewm - EasyWorldMarker - Lets you place World Markers in a Raid if your raid leading for example

How Healing Mode works

I changed the way Healing Mode works so that the target frame is now the Focus Frame as well as switching target of target and focus frames in the same way. I also switched the target cast bar for the focus cast bar. The reason for this is that I like to have the Focus frame set for the Boss so I can see the Boss casting an important ability as well as seeing its buffs as well as a bigger and clearer unit frame.

To heal I do not use Clique however you can download it if you wish. I use mouse over macros like the following:

#showtooltip
/target mouseover
/cast Healing Wave

I use this type of macro for all my healing spells and use these two macros to set the focus frame:
1. /focus targettarget
2. /focus mouseover

Q: How do I open up the Calendar?
A: You need to right click on the mini-map.

Q: How do I open up the F.A.Q menu without using the MayronSetup addon?
A: You need to right click the Minimap to gain access to a number of windows you can open. One of them is the UI F.A.Q's.

Q: How do I add other buff/debuff timers to the class timers above the player and target frames?
A: Type “/classtimer” and press Timers on the left. If you find it in the lists in the Tabs tick it. If not then go on "Extras" and type the name of the buff/debuff and press enter.

Q:Where do I find the experience Bar?
A: The Experience Bar is hidden on mouse over at the top of the screen. Only shows up on characters who have not reached the maximum level yet.

Q: Why can I not see the Death Knight Rune Bar or the Balance Druid Tracker Bar?
A: I have taken the addons out of the UI that control this because I no longer wish to maintain them currently however if you read the UI installation instructions, I have placed links to where you can download them. You will need to set them up yourself. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Q: How do I turn off Auto Quest? Or how do I turn on auto repair?
A: That is controlled with Leatrix Plus as well as many other useful general settings. Type “/ltp” in game and in the Interactions, untick Auto Quest. Or in Automations, tick the Auto Repair box.

Want to Learn more about KgPanels? Look at my tutorial on it:
How to make Advanced KgPanels - Tutorial
7.0.1 (Very small update)
* WTF/ACCOUNTNAME/account/SavedVariables - kgpanels.lua and parrot.lua have been changed
* MayMap addon has been changed
You can just replace these with the ones you have from the older update instead of reinstalling!
-- Moved the "New Event!" text indicator on the Minimap so that it does not go over the current Layout indicator.
-- Moved Parrot scrolling combat text closer to the center as it was too far out especially on 1680x1050.
-- I made the Layout indicator text turn white on mouse over so that it looks more like a button.

7.0
-- Updated all addons for MoP (5.0.4)!
-- UI works for the Monk Class
-- Removed the Quick Swap Feature (Maybe bringing it back in future)
-- Changed the Unit Frames
-- Changed the combat Text
-- Changes the MayronSetup Addon
-- Added MayMap as a replacement for Wanderlust as it is no longer being updated by the author
-- Added Tidy Plates
-- Added Leatrix Pluss (type "/ltp" for ingame options such as auto repair, auto quest accept as much more)
-- Changed all KgPanel Scripts for much better performance
-- Added a button under the Minimap for Quick swapping between Healer and DPS layouts.
-- Changed the way the Cast Bar looks for both Layouts.
-- Replaced nBuffs for Aura Frames. This buff addon also includes a in game GUI for configuration!
-- Much much more smaller things that I cannot think of right now..

6.0.2
- Removed Basic Chat Mods and added chatter instead to fix the issue with the chat font size resetting.
- You can now close the Quick Selection Menu in combat.
- Made the Quick selection menu always show ontop of any other UI element as the Quest Tracker use to get in the way when it was open
- Changed the looks as well as updating the XLoot Group roll frames.
- Updated all addons.

I'm having a huge problem here sadly enough.

I've followed all the steps and my wow interface just looks like the standard ui except that i got a big blue bar in the middle of my screen from dockingstation or something like that iirc.

Is there any chance that you could help me? I'd really like to use this one since it looks so nice and all the possitive comments.

I've followed every step that were given.

Regards, Yellan

There are 2 problems I can see with the screenshot:

1. Docking station is too high up. To fix this type "/dockingstation" ingame without the quotes and change the profile to another one which works. When you find the one which works, go back to the original and copy the data from the working one to the original so its fixed for future setups.

2. KgPanels aren't working at all which is very strange. I would try doing the same but with kgpanels. also try the other layouts and make sure your on the correct one. type "/kgpanels config" ingame without the quotes and let me know if this works for you.
Thank you, the 2 Points were very hapefull and now it's working !

Is that after your first time installing? If so everything seems wrong. Not just the SLData Text addon which is causing the text in the center but the buffs are on the left hand side and the chat box is too big, you have the shadowed unit frame profile on healing with the kgpanels and bartender on the DPS profiles. Also the broker pluggins seem to be turned off as they aren't showing on the bottom right bar. I'm getting worried.

But if you want the SLData Text fixed, type /sldatatext and go to profiles and use the right one. I've never seen this problem, are you sure you followed the installation instructions properly? Also did you use the Mayron's Setup addon to do this?
don't worry, everything is fine now. i just changed the bartender profile (heal to dps) so i could see the SL data text in the middle. the chat box is too big because my screen resolution is 1440*900 ( so i had to manually adjust it) and the buffs are on the left hand side because i moved them to that place, and they're not Nivbuffs, they're satrina buff frames xD i've managed to place everything in its place and everything is fine now. thanks!

Version 5 available for download!

Read the information on the download page to learn about the new changes.
Thank you.

I've quit WoW recently and am finding that I can no longer ask a lot of the questions especially ones which involve the new raids or heroics. However, I will try my best to answer them regardless.

This UI is still useable and updatable as all the addons used inside are still being developed. Just update them when needed. If anyone wants to take this project over then let me know by sending a private message to me. Thank you for using my UI!

I'm not that great with technical issues like this however many of the addons are out of date but I'm currently creating an update for the ui and have already updated every add-on for my current ui and I'm getting no errors. I did have a bug with basic chat mods till I updated it and that error report looks to me as if it's clashing with the shadowed unit frames compact raid frame pluton. You could try updating them yourself or wait for the next version which should be finished soon. Sorry I can't be much more useful.

Thats all done with the addon Shadowed Unit Frames.
1. Type "/suf" ingame without the quotes.
2. maximize the Unit Configuration list which apears in the list on the left of the configuration menu
3. Click on the unit frame you want to change.
4. On the right of the list, there should be the config menu and ontop there should be tabs. The end one says Text/Tags. Click on that.
5. Now it will give you the options of what information you want on that unit frame. For example if you do this for the Player frame, there will be 2 options for text to appear on, health and power. If you press on health and then right text, it will have "Percent HP". You can untick it and select another option of your choice.

Hopefully thats taught you enough to be able to do it yourself. If this isn't helpful or you have another question, let me know

I use mouse over macros for that such as:
#showtooltip
/target mouseover
/cast chain heal

However you can get an addon for grid that your on about called Clique. I'd recommend that to you, its just what you want.

Go into Shadowed Unit Frame options by typing "/SUF" ingame. Then go onto "Hide Blizzard" options on the left, there you should find the blizzard raid frames and un-tick that box.

Hope this was helpful.

Also you might need to reload the UI.
