Quse UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v4.3d
by: Qupe [More]

Quse Stream

This UI is meant to be as minimal, low memory and CPU usage as possible while maintaining a full compliment of features.
Supports all resolutions, aspect ratios and almost all languages/client localizations.

Having some knowledge of .lua - or the willingness to mess around with it - is recommended, most addons are configured in .lua.

sFilter is back!
I have included it with some basic spells for some classes but is mostly barebone.
Please open the SETTINGS.LUA file to add your own spells, all classes have template locations that fit the UI.
HOW TO:
* See Change Log for a full list of changes (please read it!) *
Fresh installations are always recommended!

Installation is a breeze; no WTF folders to rename, no hoops to jump through, no bears to wrastle.

- Back-up your Interface and Fonts folder (if you have a Fonts folder. If you don't have one, don't worry).
- Copy the contents of the QuseUI zip file into your World of Warcraft folder and launch your game client.
- Ensure out of date addons are enabled.
- Once in game, type "/install" and accept.
- Bananas!

Features
*Low memory and CPU *
*Easy Installation*
*Complete "out-of-the-box" support for all classes/specs*
*Healer and DPS raid frame layouts*
(see screenshots)

Raid Frame Indicators

*Note*
Earth Shield, PoM, and Lifebloom
indicators change color based on stack count.

FOR FONT REPLACEMENT:
Font = Pixel Font, 8pt
Font2 = Tooltip Font
FCT = Floating Combat Text

To replace fonts in-game:
- Place your desired font into the "Interface\addons\sharedmedia\fonts" folder and rename to the font you'd like to change.

To replace fonts that appear on the loading screen, chat window, etc...
- Copy your desired font into the "Fonts" folder in your Warcraft folder and rename to the appropriate names present in that folder (skurri, ARIALN__, etc...)

FOR BOSS MOD STYLING:
- Download the file located HERE
Follow the instructions on the download page.

Recommended:
- oUF_MovableFrames, by Haste. If lua editing isn't for you and default frame locations aren't your cup of tea, oUF_MovableFrames will allow you to drag and drop locations.
- Clean Icons - Thin, by Suicidalkatt
Vital if you'd like to keep the sleek square outline look for non-skinned icons. Not included in this download due to its size; some people may or may not care to include it.

TO DO:

- Set up sFilter for new abilities and adjust location (currently not included in package).
- Finish adjusting raid indicator texts and boss debuffs.
------------

-- If you choose to use Stuf and do not use 1680x1050 resolution you'll have to adjust placements manually. I'd also suggest disabling nBuffs if you use Stuf.
- I have included BigWigs as a boss mod, the settings and styling to DBM remain untouched if you prefer DBM instead.

01/15 - Release.3
- Grid2 should be fixxxxxxxxxxxedddddd!

01/14 - Release.221

- NibEclipse removed, oUF_NIN covers this.

- TipTac replaced with FreebTip
- Cascade should now parent to the minimap (if it doesn't try removing the SavedVariables for this AddOn).

- Entire UI moved inward by 4 pixels.
- Shapeshift bar moved above player frame.
- TinyDPS border fixed, now 1px.

Those debuffs are shown by default, I believe (boss ones). Are you 100% sure you're not seeing any stack text at all? I've edited omniCC a bit to make the GCD spiral lighter in opacity which as a result has made the stack/CD spiral on the target frame auras a little lighter than usual. That on top of the icon greying out might make it hard to see.

I'll do more poking around to see what I can find. I'll also pop over to a dummy and see if the stack text is too light on greyed out icons.

A quick example of how light they are (on grey and colored):

Give this a try and see how it works. I have no idea if it will, at all. There's a good chance it will only work on PC, targets but we'll see.
- Open "auras.lua" in the oUF_NIN folder.
- Add this:
Code:
[105248] = 1, -- Absorbed Blood
to the first section of auras, it's a under a header called "buffed," there will be buffs like Blood Lust etc... in the section (last entry in that section is called "spirit trinket").

Pretty sure this is only going to work on PC's though =/

Unless you are willing to get into a bit of lua editing this won't be easy. I can tell you what you need to change but explaining every small thing you'll need to edit is going to take far too long.

Minimap:
- Open Wanderlust folder and the lua file inside. Set the parents/coords to TOPRIGHT.
- Since you moved the map, you'll have to move the buffs.
-- This means opening "core.lua" in the nBuff folder and editing the placement/parenting of the TEMP ENCHANT FRAME to the minimap.

Quest Tracker:
- Open "config.lua" in nibWatchFrameAdv and change the the "enabled=true" to false (it's like, the 3rd line).
- Since you moved the quest tracker you'll want to move BigWigs/DBM timer bars (if you use them) since they'll overlap.

Tooltip:
- Open "tip.lua" in the Freebtip folder. Change the BOTTOMLEFT's in "point = { "BOTTOMLEFT", "BOTTOMLEFT", 16, 230}," to BOTTOMRIGHT's.
- Since you moved the tooltip, if you use the DPS layout in Grid2 or track the Raid CD's with alRaidCD you'll need to move those. I'm also pretty sure they'll overlap the Boss frames included in oUF which means you'll need to adjust their placement in "cfg.lua" in the oUF_NIN folder.

Kind of a pain in the butt, not too bad if you're willing to spend the time/know your way around lua a little bit.

Oh, you can add bindings to the hotbars by opening "cfg.lua" in the m_Actionbars folder and search for "cfg.hide_hotkey = true." Set it to false and voila - although, I don't know how ugly it will look =|

Open the file called "core.lua" in oUF_NIN folder (you will need notepad or a lua editor).

- Search for "Aura Icon" (will be line 981).
- Highlight everything down to where you see "Eclipse Bar" (line 1131).
- Hit delete, and save your file.

If you want to look at what you're deleting it is literally every aura icon for every frame used by oUF (Target, Focus, Player). If you'd like to see the focus debuffs, just don't delete their little snippet of code (line 1021 to 1103).

OH! Well, if you look at the bottom of the unit frame when you target it, it fills up with how many stacks it has. It also has numbers, going up by increments of 10. So, if the amalg has about 5 stacks of the bloods, then it will say 50, and the bar will be halfway full.

This is because it's being applied by another person. You can't see the stacks that they add, only the stacks of your own debuffs.

hi

I love your interface compilation and I just wanted to let you know I really appreciate your hard work configuring everything and maintaining it.

If I could just comment on one thing I would say that the overall 'text' size could be a little bit bigger to make things easier to read but of course everyone has their own preferences.

As a side question - What is the addon or whatnot that causes a large icon to flash in the middle of a screen after it comes off cooldown? The very brief large icon 'pulse' if you will.

And sorry if this has been asked before but the "Butsu" configuration keeps resetting to default when I reload interface - any idea why?

None the less, my problem is that I don't seem to be able to save my settings I set in game.

When I turn UI scale down. (I just use the ingame scaler) it'll reset back to the UI's default whenever I relog, or just do /rl.

Anyone clue on what's wrong, or how to be able to save my settings? :s
The UI is setting a scale. Disable the nibUIScale addon (or delete it).

Just a general warning, though: you'll have to do a bit of dragging/editing since the UI is meant for the scale I've set.

The problem is definitely fixed from the download's end. Make sure the file isn't hidden in your interface folder or try creating a new AddOns folder and dragging in fresh files from the download.

is there a hotfix for this? nothing is updated and the WTF folder was deleted and the old interface folder as well
You need to make sure you have Aurora enabled/installed. You'll have to do a little editing in the aldamagemeter lua if you don't wish to use Aurora (or download the meter and adjust it from scratch.

However I only want it to be visible when I scroll over it with my mouse and have it hide during combat or when not moused over.

I tryed to adjust the lua code and got the following so far:

Code:
 cfg.config_micromenu = {
	--[[hide bar:]] true, --[[show on mouseover:]] true,	--[[show when in combat:]] false, --[[scale:]] 0.85,
	["Position"] = { a= "BOTTOM",   	x=	0,	y= 116	}
However the bar has vanished entirely now and I do not believe the conditions are being met at present.

What am I doing wrong here? Any ideas?
Change the "Hide bar = true" to false. That's the toggle for the bar, as long as you have show on mouseover as true you won't see it unless you mouseover it - but it won't ever appear in the first place if hide bar is true.
