Quse UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v4.3d
by: Qupe [More]

Quse Stream

This UI is meant to be as minimal, low memory and CPU usage as possible while maintaining a full compliment of features.
Supports all resolutions, aspect ratios and almost all languages/client localizations.

Having some knowledge of .lua - or the willingness to mess around with it - is recommended, most addons are configured in .lua.

sFilter is back!
I have included it with some basic spells for some classes but is mostly barebone.
Please open the SETTINGS.LUA file to add your own spells, all classes have template locations that fit the UI.
HOW TO:
* See Change Log for a full list of changes (please read it!) *
Fresh installations are always recommended!

Installation is a breeze; no WTF folders to rename, no hoops to jump through, no bears to wrastle.

- Back-up your Interface and Fonts folder (if you have a Fonts folder. If you don't have one, don't worry).
- Copy the contents of the QuseUI zip file into your World of Warcraft folder and launch your game client.
- Ensure out of date addons are enabled.
- Once in game, type "/install" and accept.
- Bananas!

Features
*Low memory and CPU *
*Easy Installation*
*Complete "out-of-the-box" support for all classes/specs*
*Healer and DPS raid frame layouts*
(see screenshots)

Raid Frame Indicators

*Note*
Earth Shield, PoM, and Lifebloom
indicators change color based on stack count.

FOR FONT REPLACEMENT:
Font = Pixel Font, 8pt
Font2 = Tooltip Font
FCT = Floating Combat Text

To replace fonts in-game:
- Place your desired font into the "Interface\addons\sharedmedia\fonts" folder and rename to the font you'd like to change.

To replace fonts that appear on the loading screen, chat window, etc...
- Copy your desired font into the "Fonts" folder in your Warcraft folder and rename to the appropriate names present in that folder (skurri, ARIALN__, etc...)

FOR BOSS MOD STYLING:
- Download the file located HERE
Follow the instructions on the download page.

Recommended:
- oUF_MovableFrames, by Haste. If lua editing isn't for you and default frame locations aren't your cup of tea, oUF_MovableFrames will allow you to drag and drop locations.
- Clean Icons - Thin, by Suicidalkatt
Vital if you'd like to keep the sleek square outline look for non-skinned icons. Not included in this download due to its size; some people may or may not care to include it.

TO DO:

- Set up sFilter for new abilities and adjust location (currently not included in package).
- Finish adjusting raid indicator texts and boss debuffs.
------------

- Shapeshift bar moved above player frame.

I'll try and make it look good anchored in the center or try it out next to the TinyDPS frame and hope it pulls its anchor from the bottomright of the screen. I don't think it will, so I'll just work on making it ok in the middle.

Edit: wait, is the dps layout not under the target frame like the screenshot or is it wrong (ie - not like the screenshot?). I meant it to be under the target frame but now that I look at it, it kind of looks out of place.

Open TinyDPS.lua in the TinyDPS folder and look for this line:
Code:
tdpsPosition = {x = -14, y = 14}
I sort of figured the Grid2 DPS layout wouldn't be right in resolutions higher than 1080x1560 =/

I love the new damage font, the Grid2 DPS profile is slightly out of place at 1920x1080 but it is a minor error that anyone can fix easily.

You could look into the actionbar show/hide settings resetting themselves on /rl if they're changed through the in-game menu, the configuration sticks if you change it in the config lua file, though. Just a minor thing.
(Maybe they're not supposed to be able to be controlled from the in-game menu, but it was something I picked up on nonetheless)

I welcome the change from pError to xan because I've been having some issues with pError blacklists resetting.

Good job!

A problem with the UI

I installed this UI but in the .rar file it comes in, there's only "Fonts" and "Interface" files. I copied them to my AddOns folder inside the WoW folder, but when I went to the game, there was no signs of the UI existing and I typed /install, just like the "How to" part told me to do so, but instead it gave me that "Type /help...." message. I really love your UI but I can't seem to make it work. :<

EDIT: I opened up the AddOns folder inside Interface and dragged all the files over. It works now and thanks for making this awesome UI

grid2 isn't positioned properly for dps layout
shifted to the right, not centered

(standard profile repositions after /rl, but not dps)

The interface will set the proper scale for the UI when its installed (0.75) I think is what I have?

Changing the fonts throughout the whole interface is a bit of a chore: easiest way to do it (which doesn't include changing each addon piece by piece) is to put whatever font you want in the sharedmedia fonts folder and rename it RondaSeven. Any addon which doesn't change when you do that needs to be edited/fonts renamed in their specific folders.

PS - new mouse is in, I'll update everything tonight!

The debuff frames are part of nBuff (the addon that handles the buffs/debuffs) you can remove it completely and buffs/debuffs will show up in their normal position. As an aside, if you get the recommended addon that skins buttons (listed on the addon page) they will be squares that match the rest of the interface.

If you don't want to mess with lua you can get the other recommended addon that moves oUF frames (called oUF_MoveableFrames). If you are comfortable with lua, the position for the focus frame is in the config.lua file in the oUF_NiN folder.

They're all on the main download page for the interface with links to them; let me know if this isn't what you were looking for.

Been delaying it because my mouse left click is dying and copying long strings of code, etc... is essentially impossible.

Bunch of good fixes:
- Bags open/close regardless of whether or not "toggle bags" is set to open them - as opposed to before, where all default bags would open and not close.
- Bag stack texts are the proper pixel font.
- lumUI bottom bar added to replace Lynstats (lots of good utility there).
- Grid2 comes with different layouts for priests, shamans, druids and dps (who might not want to see the indicators for heals all the time, lol).
- Boss Mod layouts/edits will be a plugin option for people that don't want BigWigs or need to update all the time.
- Buff reminder addon included (shaman shields, warrior shouts, etc...).

Can't remember anymore right now =(
Sorry for the delay, meant to get this going a week ago!

Preview (ignore oRA in top left corner, sorry!):

If I didn't have a sea of addons I must copy into your Interface folder, this UI would already be mine! Thanks for all your work Quse.
Bar bindings, stacks etc... are all m_actionbars!
*SHOULD( be the font in the cfg.lua.
I knew it! Sorry quse you have left me no choice, I must install your UI.

I think it's awesome you respond to every inquiry

Thank you very much.
