xanAchievementMover

xanAchievementMover is simple addon that allows you to move Blizzards Achievement/Dungeon/Guild Challenge alert frames. This addon like all my other addons, was created to be as small and as efficient as possible.

Tired of the achievement or dungeon alerts overlapping your action bars? Don't like the position of the default achievement alerts? Looking for a way to move them? Then look no further!

If your looking for an addon to move Blizzards default Group Loot frames then take a look at LootRollMover.


Usage:

  1. Type /xam to display the anchors.
  2. Move around the top Dungeon Alert anchor to the position you want it to be displayed. Please note that the achievement frames will be attached to the location of the Dungeon Alert anchor. They cannot be moved independently.
  3. When your finished right click the top Dungeon Alert anchor to save the position.

-Had to rework the code to use the new AlertFrameSystems that Blizzard had implemented.
-Since they shifted everything to AlertFrame it has made things a bit easier to handle.
-I have tested this on several toons and it seems to work properly. If you notice an alert not following the rules with the anchor placement, please let me know.

-Fixed an issue on Wowinterface where it wasn't putting the files correctly in a folder when I would push to the wowinterface git respository.

That's blizzards alert system doing that. They have pretty much redesigned the entire Alert system from the ground up. It could be possible to alter the order in which they are displayed. I will take a look and see if a modification can be added. Should be able to look at it sometime this week.

[Question] Changing the direction of appearing of achievements alert frames

Hello. I want move achievements alert frames in top left corner. But when I get a few achievements, the second and subsequent appear above the first. Can I do something so that they appear under the first achievement?

Doh forgot to mention I changed that slash command. It's now /xam

I edited the addon description to reflect that. If you noticed when the addon loaded it should have said /xam for the command. Sorry about that!

Looks like they changed completely how the alert system works. This will probably require a complete overhaul of this addon. AlertFrames.lua has been changed to AlertFrameSystems.lua. Hmm will have to look into this. Until then this addon won't work.

In Arena Skirmish you get chests that can have money in it they are called:

Any chance of adding scaling as an option?

Even if it's just a command line option;

/xanam scale 0.75

Thanks for the addon, achievements popping up over my cast bar was really annoying.

Since the frame is created on demand and has no name, you'll need to hook/replace AlertFrame_SetLootUpgradeFrameAnchors().

Need to test if these frames can cause taint.
