ViksUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 4.34
by: frohanss [More]
ViksUI is a fully functional UI replacement for WOW and is based around oUF layout. It also have some re-skinning of a few addOns and also VuhDo profile that fit the UI. The unitframe changes based on raidsize. This UI is tweaked for 1920x1080.

The UI started long time ago as Qulight UI, and have been heavily rewritten by me. So most of the Credit goes to Qulight. Lately i have gotten alot of ideas from ShestakUI, and with permision i have used alot of the codes.

The UI is based on my likings so it will not change alot, but i try to add options to change most. Like turning off panels, change colors and fonts.

Some things included in ViksUI:

  • Addon Skins - DBM, Pallypower,Skada,Recount,Omen,Quartz,Bigwigs,DXE,ExtraButton
  • Announcements options - Enemy Drinking, Interupts, Casting, Lightwell, Toys, Thanks, Pull Count, Using Flask, Announce Feasts/Souls/Repair +++
  • Auras/Buffs/Debuffs options - Full customizing, can cancel by rightclick, track who cast buff+++
  • Automation options - Auto Equip Chef's Hat/Safari Hat, Set role, Sell grey, Autorepair+++
  • Bag options - customize size, search, sort and Stacking (Right click on X button for menu)
  • Combat text - xCT integrated into UI.
  • Cooldown Flash - Flash icon when Spell is ready after use.
  • Enemy cooldowns - Track enemys cd in BG or arena.
  • Error options - Filters away some error messages.
  • Datatext - Arena, Armor, Avoidance, Bags, Battleground, Crit, Durability, Friends, Gold, Guild, Haste, Hit, location, Mastery, Power, Regen, System (Fps, Ms & MB), Talent, Time
  • Loot and Roll Frames - Custom frames with automation options like AutoGreed/Disenchant Green items.
  • Top Panel / Info Frame - Mouseover panel with main stats and buttons for toggle helm/cloak
  • Map options - Turn off fog, % explored and % quest done in zone+
  • Raid cooldowns - Tracks raid players CD. Left click to announce and right click to remove.
  • Pulse cooldowns - Pulsate spell icon when cd is over.
  • Buffs reminder - Buff reminders for solo and raid
  • Stats options - Different stats options. Still under work
  • raidframes - oUF raid frames with dynamic size based on raid size
  • unitframes - oUF unitframes with most needed information and good overview.
  • nameplate - Fully customizable nameplate with castbar. Built inn "healer has to die" for pvp
  • minimap - Custom minimap with quick menu (yellow icon) and right click menu.
  • tooltip - Custom tooltip with extended information like iLvl and tallentspec
  • XPBar - Custom XP bar with extended information detail.
  • Miscellaneous - Alot of small tweaks like gem counter, markbar+++ Realy to much to write
  • Chat - Fully adapted and tweaked chat.
  • World Boss kill tracker - Track what world bosses your char have killed this week when mouseover the clock under minimap.
  • Skins - Skinning of Blizzard frames and many other. NB! Keep using the Addon skins over this!

Quest automation: Gossip Skip, Auto Accept, Turnins. Shift Click to override.
Mage Portals: Left click for Teleport, Right Click for Portal.
Raid Utility: Left Click for Menu, Right Click for Ready Check, Middle click for Rolecheck.
Aligment Grid: /align
One click DE/Milling/Prospecting by holding Alt button in and click on item.
Shift+Righclick on item on AH for direct Buyout

Addons i also use / Recomend:
Setup:
On first run the settings should be installed. If not or update version type: /installui
Then to make Bartender select the correct profile type: /bt profiles choose ViksUI
That should be all

Ingame Settings

Simple Movie Showing the simple basic for firsttimers.

YouTube Vid: Showing different stuff in UI (Old).

Look through the “/config” for more settings.
The text under the minimap toggles different stuff

Misc Stuff:

Ctrl+Alt+Shift + Mouse click on target/raid frame to set/clear focus.

Inspiration for few things:
  • Qulight UI for the addon pack thats inspired from Tukz again.
  • oUF_Karma MOP inspired the Font, Rest/Combat icon.
  • Tukz for different spec bars in MOP

if any person have any problems with the used fonts, you can edit using the /config and in media, change the LinkinPark.ttf for font.TTF

the problems in my case is with the accents because I am using in spanish language, and when appears some accent, the tittle was cutted

other reason is that the default used font in same situations the title is very long and overwrite the right coordenate number.

thanks for the ui!

Well, i stoped raiding few months ago due to clearing content in hc. That's why im not rushing on fixing every parts. Im focusing more on mop section while playing on beta.
We all need to "track" different parts while raiding and it's impossible to include everything. I integrate the section i feel is important to track. The rest i let ppls controll themself.
This UI pack is me sharing my UI as is, and not to get xx amount of users on it.

It's 100% not from my UI.
The sound ur describing, sounds like the one from bugsack.
So im sure this is what happens: You are using bugsack and buggrabber. You are also using a "tooltip". Based on ur screenshot it's Freebtip.
So everytime you target a player "Freebtip" generates a error. Bugsack grabs the error and plays the default warning sound.
Just try to disable thos and im sure sound is gone.

Else from that, this is the best ui-package I've seen for raiding so far(altough it obviously comes down to personal preference), but as a new person to addons(from what I understood), you do impress me.

One last thing, although it makes no difference for me as I play without sound, what is that funny sound that plays whenever you target someone with sound on? And for other people who might find it annoying, how would you go on about disabling it?
Well, i only do hardcore raiding as all roles and this is based on how i like it setup. I guess what most ppls could strugle with regarding any raid/unit frame that is based on oUF, is setting up these different parts.

Sadly you are using the most "unfinished layout" of the 2 provided. The last patch changed alot regarding spells, buffs and debuffs. So most files had to start from scratch again.
I will soon update the list on that layout also, so hot's & debuffs will show on that layout to.

Regarding the sound it's not from my UI. If ur reffering to the "thumb" sound then it's the default wow sound. Just disable ViksUI addon and see if sound is still there.

What's causing the cd-tracking infront of the raidframe? Been looking around but can't figure out how to move it. :-)
That is Raid Cooldowns. /ui -> "Move RaidCD"
Type /raidcd to test it

Look on (around 40sec out) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kn0gs...&feature=g-upl

Side note: I see you have hidden the right action bar. I haven't sayd this anywhere but, click between the "big action bar" and the small side bars will toggle these also.

Also, you realy don't need both omen and skada.
Guessing the bug inside bugsack is from bugsack itself.

I have tryed to avoid using char's savedvariables because they are a pain in the butt when you have many characters. Instead i made a layout that you can get up and running in a few steps.

ViksUI settings:
1. /config -> Unit Frames
2. Toggle on "Hide Raid Frames if VuhDo Addon is loaded" (Will override alot of normal settings)
3. Toggle on "Raid Frames for Healer". This basicly "opens the center area" on screen more.

Then
1. /vuhdo -> Tools
2. Select Profile ViksUI 10, and Set ADG to 1, 5 & 10. And what ever spec you using. -> Apply then Save
3. Select Profile ViksUI 11-25, set ADG to 15 & 25. And what ever spec you using. -> Apply then Save
4. Select Profile ViksUI 25+, set ADG to 40. And what ever spec you using. -> Apply then Save
*ADG = Activate due to group
thaks for your step by step instructions
