ViksUI is a fully functional UI replacement for WOW and is based around oUF layout. It also have some re-skinning of a few addOns and also VuhDo profile that fit the UI. The unitframe changes based on raidsize. This UI is tweaked for 1920x1080.




The UI started long time ago as Qulight UI, and have been heavily rewritten by me. So most of the Credit goes to Qulight. Lately i have gotten alot of ideas from ShestakUI, and with permision i have used alot of the codes.


The UI is based on my likings so it will not change alot, but i try to add options to change most. Like turning off panels, change colors and fonts.

Some things included in ViksUI:

  • Addon Skins - DBM, Pallypower,Skada,Recount,Omen,Quartz,Bigwigs,DXE,ExtraButton
  • Announcements options - Enemy Drinking, Interupts, Casting, Lightwell, Toys, Thanks, Pull Count, Using Flask, Announce Feasts/Souls/Repair +++
  • Auras/Buffs/Debuffs options - Full customizing, can cancel by rightclick, track who cast buff+++
  • Automation options - Auto Equip Chef's Hat/Safari Hat, Set role, Sell grey, Autorepair+++
  • Bag options - customize size, search, sort and Stacking (Right click on X button for menu)
  • Combat text - xCT integrated into UI.
  • Cooldown Flash - Flash icon when Spell is ready after use.
  • Enemy cooldowns - Track enemys cd in BG or arena.
  • Error options - Filters away some error messages.
  • Datatext - Arena, Armor, Avoidance, Bags, Battleground, Crit, Durability, Friends, Gold, Guild, Haste, Hit, location, Mastery, Power, Regen, System (Fps, Ms & MB), Talent, Time
  • Loot and Roll Frames - Custom frames with automation options like AutoGreed/Disenchant Green items.
  • Top Panel / Info Frame - Mouseover panel with main stats and buttons for toggle helm/cloak
  • Map options - Turn off fog, % explored and % quest done in zone+
  • Raid cooldowns - Tracks raid players CD. Left click to announce and right click to remove.
  • Pulse cooldowns - Pulsate spell icon when cd is over.
  • Buffs reminder - Buff reminders for solo and raid

  • Chat - Fully adapted and tweaked chat.
  • World Boss kill tracker - Track what world bosses your char have killed this week when mouseover the clock under minimap.
  • Skins - Skinning of Blizzard frames and many other. NB! Keep using the Addon skins over this!

Quest automation: Gossip Skip, Auto Accept, Turnins. Shift Click to override.
Mage Portals: Left click for Teleport, Right Click for Portal.
Raid Utility: Left Click for Menu, Right Click for Ready Check, Middle click for Rolecheck.
Aligment Grid: /align
One click DE/Milling/Prospecting by holding Alt button in and click on item.
Shift+Righclick on item on AH for direct Buyout

Addons i also use / Recomend:
Setup:
Extract files and copy the the WTF\Account\AccountName\SavedVariables to your folder.
Ingame first time: “Reset your Chat Window” , type: “/vikschat”, type “/bt” and select Default under profile.
To setup DBM type “/setdbm”. NB! After you installed the addon.

By scrolling timer i assume you mean classtimer. The bar that is atatched to healthbar?

To add that spell (i already added it to mine so will be on future update).

More help.

Thanks for the help before. I have another question. In an older version, personal buffs such as Slice and Dice and Recuperate had their own ClassTimers such as the one you helped me add for Revealing Strike above the player unit frame. Now they don't show up. I can't find an option to turn them back on. Can you help me with this, or possibly tell me how to code this back in. And even better, is there a way you could code the personal buffs such as Slice and Dice to show above the enemy unit frame, so I can track SnD, Rupture, Recuperate, Revealing Strike, Poison, etc. all in the same spot. Thanks.

not sure if this has been covered or not or im just a retard.

if this has been covered i am sorry i work long hours. but first and formost i go through alot of ui's and i love yours the most. but i have been going through it and the party frames that are on the left when your in a group how to you make them go away. im a healer and dont need them seeing im running vuhdo. and second im not seeing the pet battle bars at all not sure if its a bartender thing or a ui or my dumb ass. hey at least im being honest here. hope to here from you and thank you again.

Well, no you can and shouldn't tbh add everything in one place. Mixing players buff with targets debuff isn't smart, and can't see why anyone whant todo this.

Classtimer is seperated into 3 different sections, PlayerBuff & Procs (like trinkets) that are shown over player unit frame. The debuff (target related) is shown over the target frame.
To add something basicly add a line with;
Lua Code:

Under;
Lua Code:
  1. ROGUE = {
  2.             target = {
  3.                 -- Add here if it's a target debuff
  4.             },
  5.             player = {
  6.         -- Add here if player buff 
  7.             },

  10.             },
The spellID you grab from wowhead or spellid from ingame tooltip.

Edit: I had to log my rogue to test this, but i see there is another error in Classtimer.lua
During conversion to MOP had another naming on my unitframes, so the player buff/proc doesn't anchor correctly.
It will be fixed on next release.
Just replace all "oUF_ViksPlayer" with "oUF_Player" in Classtimer.lua

/config and studdy what options there are under unitframes and raidframes.

I am not totaly sure what ur seen on screen during pet battle regarding bars. Maybe check that bartender is updated.
I know unitframes are not hidden. I had it set to hide during pet battle but it added different problems regarding different detection. So untill i find a better way to handle one of thos i'm gona just live with them shown during pet battle.
The same goes for the XP bar. It's just to disable it if to anoying.

The next post you asking about my vuhdo profile. Im not fully sure what u are thinking off. Need to explain more.
But basicly that is just a profile that maches my ui, size and color wise. I haven't done anything else to it.

Thank you for the help. And basically, what I meant by the timer thing is that I only wanted to add Slice and Dice above the target unit frame so that I could track all my buffs that are important to dps. However, I plan on going Assassination soon anyway, so at the point I won't even really need to pay attention to my Slice and Dice timer anyway. I think that is the extent of my questions, and thank you for explaining how to code some of the lua stuff on my own. I play all 11 classes, so being able to add/remove/edit timers on my own will be convenient. I'll come back if I have further questions.

Oh, and your UI is by far the cleanest looking UI out there. It fits my needs very well.

Bartender wont fit

When i click the default button nothing happen.The button wont move and all stacked in the middle of the screen.I also would like to ask why put a small chat window on both side instead of having a big and nice chat that we can configure ourself.

Problem connect

Hi,

When i try to connect with my chaman, a wow error appears at end of load. But i don't have any problems with my warlock ...

There must be something wrong with ur copying of the files in wtf folder. This have been answered atleast 2-3 times here already.

This is as mentioned earlyer my personal preffered layout so asking why the 2x chatwindow is kinda self explainable!?

This have been answered before here. It's a bug with temp weaponenchant in buff. Just look in earlyer post for explaining.
