You could ask Caith for permision to use his work in your compilation, I think it would make the job easier for both you and the end user if we don't have to download his very old/outdated (yet great) UI and then update it with your work on-top of that.

The download link on the description for the Caith UI is not required to use this compliation

It's put there because this is a fan edit of the original caith ui and as part of the wow interface rules:

"You must give proper credit to the authors whose actual work you are using."

5.2 Update

EDIT found the culprit; done the dailies on the "Isle of Thunder" and ran a scenario and LFR without any further UI errors running with BUGGRABBER and Bugsack

UI now updated for 5.2

tested on a fresh wow download and on a macbook please post if you have any issues

Just a quick update regarding 5.2

I'm getting a weird bug where if I change zone or zone into an instance or raid the game hangs on the loading screen, i'm trying to workout if it's an addon causing the problem or if its just a buggy patch

I was wondering if there was any way you could upload a few in combat shots, as the UI looks gorgeous, but how it performs is also important.

Thanks heaps for getting this working. I had a go at it a while ago but ran into too many problems and ended up being more effort that i was willing to put in so im aware how much fiddling around it took.

I followed your setup instructions, copying the folders correctly and renaming them accordingly but none of the profiles are loading straight up. I remember caith used to use reflux to load all profiles but from what i can see thats not the case with this version.

Ive been through pitbull, dominos, kgpanels, masque, mapster and manuall loaded yours or caiths profiles and have it to a semi working point. Few problems im having are: Chat window covering action bars, but reducing it in size does not reduce kgpanels background. Tooltip is in wrong spot and too large, black kgpanels square over my guy. Heres a pic where im up to, this is running it at 1920x1080 too btw.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Also what program are you using to replace power auras, for dot tracking etc. Quite like it would just like to move them around a bit.

EDIT2: found out why it worked on my other account, I used a level 85 warrior which had allready used to ui before so everything loaded smoothly, I'm working on an updated zip with reflux and some kgpanel cleanups - it should be up later today

EDIT: the black box might be related to some skinning I was using for Grid

/kgpanels config

delete GridFrame (1-5) hopefully that sorts that issue out

Sorry to hear your having problems i'll double check everything and get another version pushed with reflux

The chat window is designed to be on the top left of the screen since the caith 4.x ui's so I followed trend, if the chatbox is on the bottom left then it'll cover the pet bar and pet action bar but if you want to move them its not a problem

if you resize the chatbox you'll have to adjust the kgpanels

as for the tooltip if you want it for example bottom right then edit Interface/AddOns/nTooltip/config.lua - line 8

Lua Code:
  1. 'BOTTOMRIGHT', UIParent, 'BOTTOMRIGHT', -27.35, 27.35

the addon used to replace power auras is Weak Auras - /wa brings up the configuration file

as for the black box over the character i'll look into that now

sorry for the problems your having!

Thanks for that. Its nice having this UI back working, tested it in a few instances and all is good, very few if any bugs and looks as i remember this ui - Awesome job! Totally forgot caith moved his chat window up so that fixes the tooltip in the wrong location problem too .

I ended up installing elv ui and disabled everything as well. Sounds pointless but what it does leave behind is all the std blizzard windows in black and a few nice features. Not quite a perfect match visually but it compliments the ui well.

Thanks again!

Glad to hear everything worked out and thank you for the kind words!

Good idea with elv ui, I really like the tuk/elv bag addon wish it was standalone

Raid Plates

Any idea on how to get grid compatible with the UI? I like the look of Pitbull's raid frames but it doesn't give me enough info I want and functionality so maybe i was wondering if there was a way of making grid look like the Pitbull raid frame?
