Power Auras Classic v4 - MoP Version  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Designed to give visual or audible cues to the user in response to in-game events, such as gaining buffs or debuffs. Types of cues range from simple texture displays to stack counters, timers to timer bars, and are fully user-configurable. Can be animated or have sounds attached as well.

If you upgraded to Power Auras 5, it is recommended that you remove it and restore your old WTF folder configuration files for PowerAuras if possible. If you did not upgrade to Power Auras 5, everything should work as normal.

The GTFO Addon will work with both Power Auras 4 and Power Auras 5 and no update is necessary.

From now the addon can be found on Curse too:

Slash commands
  • "/pa" - Brings up the configuration menu.
  • "/powa" - Brings up the configuration menu.

What changed so far
  • The addon is fully updated for Mists of Pandaria, ids, spells, classes, power and instance types, api changes, etc.
  • Also the addon is going to properly work in older game clients too.
  • The addon's whole GUI menu got tweaked up, bugged parts are fixed.
  • Added new fonts, texture, sounds.
  • Fixed a lot of glitchy textures.
  • Recoded all texture to RLE loseless targa, which uses less memory. (When the addon show a texture, then the texture is going to stay compressed in the memory, the video card is going to decompress it, and it's going to stay uncompressed in the video card's cache.)
  • Added dropdowns to change the textures blend mode. (This function also replaces the removed "Glow" buttons functionality when set to "ADD".)
  • Added dropdowns to change the frame's and the texture's strata levels. (1 single texture can be placed on 8*20*4*15 = 9600 different strata levels.)
  • Added an option to use gradient colors for the texture, this function also works with the random color function properly.
  • Added an option to grayscale textures.
  • Added an option to display icons with rounded edges.
  • Added a function to rotate textures.
  • Every slider has an editbox now.
  • Every slider's value can be changed with mousewheel up/down, while the mouse is over a slider or it's editbox. (This function replaces the removed "-" and "+" buttons functionality.)
  • Cluthcy and bugged animations got fixed, their other parts got tweaked.
  • Added an option to show predefined, custom and custom unitid (player, target, focus, etc) type 3D Models from the game. This models can be animated, rotated, zoomed in/out, or moved inside of their frame, within all the other functions what textures has.
  • Sounds will be played when you test or hide and aura, if sound is assigned for that aura.
  • Millions of other smaller fixes and changes, see Change Log or "!Changelog.txt" for details.

having the exact same problem.. tried setting it up as a buff AND as a weapon enchant with no luck for either but it tracks all my other procs perfectly. any help would be appreciated.

Hey guys, just a question, on the previous version i could see all the auras on my currently active profile, now i can only see the aura i'm working with.
Is there any option available so i can get back to the old way?

Paladin Seals

Is there anyway to incorporate paladin seals ? ie. I want to put a aura up to remind me in just case I am in a party in my healing spec without Seal of Insight... things happen when your busy


This is my face saver. I have fixed Blood Presence this way for my dk so she doesn't accidentally go into combat without changing presences for a fight.

I tried the 4.23 version that is suppose to work with MOP and my FPS drop to 10. I'm usually at 60+ and never had this issue pre MOP.

You need to download and apply the MoP patch I posted here. The official version throws so many LUA errors that it kills the FPS.

You can double-click multiple auras to make them show up during setup.

On the 5.2 PTR this addon will disable itself if you /reload or relog while in the Throne of Thunder instance. If you /reload or relog while outside of the instance it will work normally again.

This second error only happened after joining a group and shouldn't actually "damage" the performance of the addon or at least I haven't noticed it.

Installing the Patch - Assistance Requested!

Hi,

Could someone kindly enumerate on how to install the patch? I have powerauras loaded & installed using Curse, which does it all for me. I discovered that there is an "unofficial" patch available so that powerauras will work with Pandaria. I'm able to download the patch, but am unsure how to install it and have Warcraft recognize it!

I've tried adding the whole folder it to my addons folder (with files all located in: /World of Warcraft/interface/addons/PowerAuras 4.23.11-MOP), I've tried replacing the previous 'PowerAuras' folder with this new 'patch' folder, I've tried merging the two, nothing seems to work.

Am I missing something? Is there an installer or .exe file I need to run? Do I need to rename the folder to something? Do I need to clear a cache or delete a WTF folder? Give up my firstborn child? Provide a sacrificial animal? What?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I really love powerauras but if I can't get this to work I might have to cave in and try weakauras!

This is my face saver. I have fixed Blood Presence this way for my dk so she doesn't accidentally go into combat without changing presences for a fight.
Seals are configurable under "stances."
I only get the option for "Humanoid" Sorry for slow to reply I have not been playing my pally recently.

Download the "patch" from here, and extract the .zip.
You'll get a folder (by default) PowerAuras 4.23.11 with a folder in it that is PowerAuras.
Copy the PowerAuras folder to \World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons\ folder.

This isn't a "patch" in the sense you are thinking it is. It's the full addon.

Making a Art of War buff icon

Hello,

Is it not possible anymore to make "The Art of War" proc for ret Paladins?
When I have WoW's inbuilt Spell Alert on it shows the two swords when The Art of War procs.
But since this proc is not a buff anymore and also doesn't seem to show up in the combat log is it not possible to get this to work with Power Auras anymore?

PTR performance issue

I've also noticed some strange behavior on the PTR, I believe its related to PA. Like the poster below mentioned the addon disabled itself after reloading ui inside the new LFR. I was also getting major FPS freezes during combat, reminds me of how PA was acting on MoP launch.

That's usually a symptom of too many LUA errors happening. I haven't done any work with Power Auras and 5.2 yet.
