Description
A DPS maximiser. Displays a sequence of icons from left to right, representing the order in which you should use your abilities so that maximum DPS may be achieved. You 'plug in' modules for your class/specialisation into a single AddOn, ensuring a consistent and familiar interface across the range of your characters.

DPS Rotations/Priorities
The author has already researched the most popular and effective rotation for your character. Allowance has been made for the Talents you have chosen. We Don't Wipe presents the next few abilities you should use. Due to randomness in the game, the queue of abilities will constantly change depending upon cooldowns, critical strike "procs", useful combinations, and so on.

We Don't Wipe is perfect for anyone wishing to come to grips with the latest thinking for the mechanics of a class/specialisation through to seasoned raiders wishing to maximise their DPS.

For notes specific to a class/spec you should see the respective Module download page.

Features
  • Priority queue displayed as a dynamic sequence of up to 10 icons
  • Dynamic class relevant Charge display (e.g. Maelstrom Weapon / Arcane Charges)

Cooldowns
Aside from the modularised rotations in a centralised core, the other defining characteristic of WDW is Cooldowns. You can configure this list while playing, using the built in editor. It is powerful and intuitive. Racials like Berserker are supported. You can tell a module which abilities you wish to have excluded. This is a separate list to your displayed Cooldowns.

How to Instal Simplified for v3.01!!!
Install as you would any other addon. Go to "Interface" and then "Addons" from the game menu to adjust to your liking. Try also /wdw from any in game chat channel.

See 'Modules' below as this page is for the WDW "engine". You will also need to download modules.

How to Move WDW
Firstly go to "Game Menu" then "Interface" then "AddOns". For We Don't Wipe look at "Queue Settings". Ensure "Locked" is not checked. Return to the game. Hover the mouse over the centre of the first ability icon in the main queue. Must be in the centre area. Now hold down the left mouse button and drag and release. Easy!

Modules
WDW ships with its core engine files along with a fairly empty 'Modules' folder. A template with notes is provided for budding LUA programmers to have a go at their own WDW module. Obviously changes to a module don't necessitate a full download of WDW, a key advantage since v3.00.

Use the links above to download modules.

Drop the downloaded module(s) file into the "Modules" folder. It is that easy! No file editing for v3.01!!!

Performance
WDW builds a saved Spellbook and other lists each time you enter the world or a zone/instance or update your talents. During combat it relies upon being 'polled' by Blizzard's servers and just displays a pre-processed sequence of icons that was built by a class/spec module. Modules written by the author of WDW do NOT trap and track the combat log. Instead they go through a priority list of actions and decide where in the next 10 (or less if the player decides) x 'Global Cooldowns' that action must occur. Every class/spec has a filler action and these are used to plug in the gaps. The core of WDW is very light. The simplicity or complexity of a module is the determinant of any performance issues.

If you do think that WDW is weighing you down, you can configure things such as how often it cycles.

You might like to try using Cool Aid to give even more customisation to the Cooldown display elements of WDW (you'll need to disable displaying Cooldowns via WDW). The same is true for the distance estimation with Hard Yards.

* Druids no sorry to say. I am slowly picking off my list of high level Alts and before Druids will be Ret Pally, Locks, Unholy DKs.

great add on

I just want to say great add on by the way. I am totally loving it Had a few issues at first figuring out how to to install the module and i did not know what to open the file with but got it down. I am playing right now on my 34 Elemental Shaman. Was only 30 when i started with your add on. It has really helped with my Rotations as this is my first shaman.

I was wondering however since i just hoped on my Level 90 Feral Druid if you would have any modules for it. I am sorry if it is in the thread already. Just was skimming. Elemental Shaman is LIVE!

With Patch 5.4 upon us I really must look at being ready with any updates. Patches force EVERY AddOn to undergo a small one line change, at best. Factor in changes to abilities and some WDW modules may need some work.

I have a volunteer for Fury Warriors (as I don't do them). Which is great news. Fury will be next up.

I want to do Unholy DKs, especially as I have a L90 toon.

And for some reason I have never considered a Ret Pally module. Heck I have a max level toon. Just never thought about it until now!

That will be a real problem as my Warrior is very very low level.

In regards to classes/specs I do not play:

I am willing to work with someone, even if they cannot do LUA programming. They would have to commit to receiving PMs from me, realise that time zones might work against us, understand that initially there would be a flurry of trivial programming errors to overcome as I use a basic text editor as my only development tool which means that sometimes I have lots of typos , and be willing to stand at target dummies for 15 minutes at a time! In return they would receive dual credit for the module, including in-game mention.

Not the first time 'click through' has been requested. Will add it to my list of things to do. Problem though:

All tooltips would have to be removed. This would disadvantage new players who are using WDW as a tool to familiarise themselves with a rotation.

Solution would be to have two different setups. Memory footprint would increase, maintenance would become more difficult, CPU hit should be negligible (a few 'if' statements). Not a small task .

Yes. A solution for now would be to turn off the CD display (via the Options Panel) and to instal my 'Cool Aid' AddOn. CA does the same as the Cooldowns part of WDW but is more fully featured. Might do your request in WDW in the future.

Will re-test this, under a variety of conditions. My definition of "In Combat" is broader than most people. If I detect that a mob is aggressive toward you then I will display the interface, even if you have no target selected. Why? One reason is so that you can tell if you have been targeted by a player (on a PvP server) while you are out in the world questing/chilling. That is very useful. It works nicely for me, for example, when doing the weekly Booty Bay fishing contest.

From memory, if you are in any kind of dungeon or raid, I call this "in combat" too. The Options Panel tooltips do make my rather broad idea of "combat" clear.

Nevertheless, I will re-test.

So I registered here to first thank you for the addon. It was exactly what I was looking for with my new Windwalker monk (just hit 89 and the cooldowns/rotation is confusing!)

Had a couple comments/questions.

1) For the people having trouble moving the icons, try changing the icon size to 50+ and you'll see where the tooltip disappears and you hear the little noise. A message appears in chat that says "You may now move We Don't Wipe! also". I cannot get this to appear if the icon is < 50 as I run with it at 25

2) Is there any way you can remove the tooltip on mouseover? What would be even better is make it completely click through and possibly transparent. That way I can keep it right by my monk's head but not have it interfere with looting or clicking on mobs I want to attack.

3) Is there a way to detach the cooldown bar so I can put it under my character? Would it be possible to make the cooldown bar clickable? That would be fantastic if so because then I can see something is off cooldown and just click on it rather than remember the keybind.

4) I notice when I uncheck "Always show" sometimes the cooldown bar stays after combat and only goes away unless I go in and check/uncheck the box again. Sometimes selecting a target and then unselecting it will clear it but not always.

5) Sometimes I notice that under certain cooldowns, there are little white dots... What are those for?

Hmmm... All I can suggest is that you try the above procedure with no other AddOns. I am suspecting a conflict with some other AddOn here. Please report back, as I am keen to help you.

I'm having problems moving the addon also. I was able to move it immediately after a fresh install (I have never used before - the beta version 5.3 is my first install). Then I resized the icons and tried to move it again using the method that was succesful before. 1. "Uncheck" the locked box. 2. Target something. 3. Place the cursor in the center of the first Large icon. 4. Left-click and drag when you receive a special chat message.

To be honest, I don't remember if I got a chat message the first time, but I definitely did not get one this time - and this time the addon will not budge.

I use a PC running Windows 64.

Okay let's see if we can sort this out.

From v3 onwards when you download WDW, you need to get the modules separately. A few reasons for this but in the long run it is for the better.

Currently not all the previously supported classes are to be found in v3 but recently progress has sped up. That might be the source of your woes.

Apart from that I would need more information.

(I am making headway with Frost DK. Just balancing rune and RP precalculations and comparing rotation ideas from different reputable sources).

v3.00 Finally Here (as Beta)

Rather cautious releasing this as beta, I know.

Probably Frost DKs (both DW and 2H) and Unholy DKs next.
Then some shammie love.

After that open to requests but Warlocks and Rogues might be possible.

Reply to the above: I am no longer using v2 and am actively using and testing v3 on my Windwalker. It does not exhibit the problem above. I develop this on a Mac by the way. V3 is very near to release. Stay tuned. Fully functional for Windwalkers.
