Tekagi UI  Updated this week!
Version: 2.7
by: Alltherage [More]
Tekagi UI - Version 2.7 - Updated for 5.48

SUPPORTS RESOLUTIONS: 1920*1080 and 1680*1050.

Tekagi UI is a UI based on the popular DevlinUI. However, I did not simply download DevlinUI and make changes, I downloaded each addon individually and built the UI from the ground up with the Devlin style in mind, and combined his layout idea with some of my own. My focus is aimed at functionality from the point of view of a Tank in a 25 man raiding environment, but I am completely confident that the UI is perfectly compatible for use by the serious DPS player. I will also be working on creating a set of profiles specifically for healers.

I welcome feedback and suggestions, so post those, as well as any problems or bug reports in the comments section.

Installation

Installation Video
  1. Backup your WTF and Interface directories (And Fonts, if you have this directory).
  2. Download the UI and extract my WTF, Fonts and Interface directories into your WoW installation directory.
  3. Open the WTF directory and rename the USERNAME, REALM and CHARACTER directories to your WoW username, realm name and character name.
  4. Login to your character and type /reflux switch TEKAGI (or /reflux switch TEKAGI1680 for 1680*1050 res)
  5. Press ESC, go to Interface and then the addons tab (at the top left), choose MoveAnything, and set the profile to TEKAGI.
  6. Enjoy

My macros are all gone! Tekagi, you scoundrel!

WoW provides you with 2 types of macro:
  1. Character Specific Macros
  2. Account-Wide Macros

Your account-wide macros are stored in macros-cache.old and macros-cache.txt in your WTF/Account/Username directory. You can copy your macro files from your WTF backup.

Your character specific macros are stored in macros-cache.old and macros-cache.txt in your WTF/Account/Username/Realm/Charactername directory. You can copy your macro files from your WTF backup.

Please exit the game before doing this.. If you do it while the game is open, the game will overwrite them when you next exit.

My Beloved WeakAuras are gone, GONE I TELL YOU!

Fear not! Follow this instructions to get your WeakAuras back!
  1. Go to your WTF backup /Account/Username/SavedVariables directory
  2. Copy WeakAuras.lua and WeakAuras.lua.bak
  3. Go to your current WTF/Account/Username/SavedVariables directory
  4. Paste WeakAuras.lua and WeakAuras.lua.bak (overwrite if it asks)

DISCLAIMER! My UI uses WeakAuras 2. If you were using the old WeakAuras before, this fix may not work. If it doesn't work, you will need to delete WeakAuras from my UI and put the old WeakAuras from your backup back into your addons folder. Then you can follow the instructions above again.

You should now have all of your WeakAuras back.

You can safely update these Addons with your addon update software - if you can't find some of these with your update software, try searching wowinterface (or curse) for them
** Changes in Version 2.7

++ New Addon: Aurora and Aurora Missing Textures

Omen and Skada displays have also been slightly changed, and minimap position changed to solve the issues a lot of people were having with buff frame position.

** Changes in Version 2.60

++ New Addon: SunArt Viewport - UI remains the same but the bottom panels no longer cover any vital on screen information. If you do not like using the viewport, disable the addon and the UI returns to normal.

** Changes in Version 2.50

Minor Tweaks

** Changes in version 2.40

Now supports 1680*1050 (hopefully!)

** Changes in version 2.30

All borders are now changed - there were too many UI's that looked incredibly similar.
Fonts folder added!

-- Raven no longer used (but still included for your preference).
++ New Addons: Masque Skinner: Blizz Buffs (skins default Blizzard Buffs)
++ New Addons: TellMeWhen (useful and easier in some circumstances than WA to use - disable if you don't need it)

-- Clean Icons - Crisp are gone
-- Clean Icons - Thin are in!

** Changes in version 2.20

++ New Addons: Addon Control Panel / nibWatchFrameAdv / ReputationBars / XPBarNone / ShadowedUF Facade

There have also been some minor changes to frame positions, creating a less clustered centre-screen for your raiding pleasure, and some small texture changes.

** Changes in version 2.10

++ New Addons: Simple Holy Power, Simple Combo Points, Simple Chi, Simple Shaman Resources
++ New Addon: MoveAnything

** Changes in Version 2.00

++ New Addon: "Addon Control Panel"
++ New Addon: "RSA - Raeli's Spell Announcer"
-- Removed "Clean Icons - Crisp" from download to reduce file size - however I still recommend this pack.

Various colour and border changes, to clean up various UI parts.

Do you have a screenshot so I can see what seems to be going wrong with Omen and the Skullbanner / Demobanner?

Hey bro, I think the only way to get it looking right on your resolution would involve re-sizing all of the kgpanel frames. I don't actually have anything that supports that resolution, but I can see if anybody I know has, and can ask them to do the re-scaling so that I can provide it with a future release - though I can't promise that I'll find anybody who uses that res.

Have you renamed the folders in the WTF directory? Looking at the screenshot, it looks like these folders have not had their names changed correctly.

- USERNAME renamed to your WoW Username (must be uppercase/capital letters)
- REALM renamed to your Realm name
- CHARACTER renamed to your character name
Hi thank you the answer! Its working. And i love it! Have a nice day!

Hey Duugu, thanks, yeah, I don't really believe in having comlpex/fancy UI's as it doesn't really help me in a raid, while simple, clear and user friendly layouts make things easier to see - making my life easier.

I should have a healer setup available soon(tm). Possibly before next reset. The idea will besically be simple: move the action bars over to the bottom right, and move the raid frames to the middle, while making them bigger (height).

Please post a comment here if...

You notice any issues with the addon, such as:

- Frames in the wrong place
- Frames without attached borders
- If your raid size bugs out the raid frames

or anything else that you believe could be improved with a minor change. I'll do my best to fix any issue and have an update available to download within 7 days.

Thanks.
