WatchDog  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.25
by: Cladhaire [More]

All click-casting code has been removed. Anyone who used WatchDog for it should instead use Clique, which is much better, cleaner, and based entirely off the WatchDog click-casting code. (http://www.wowinterface.com/download...php?s=&id=5108 )

I repeat. WatchDog is no longer a Click-Casting mod. It is purely a set of unit frames.

Watchdog is a highly customizable set of UnitFrames first and foremost. When logging in for the first time, you'll see a single UnitFrame towards the center of your screen. It will display some information about your character, and windows will pop up as party members, pets and targets show up.

You can open the configuration menu by typing /wdog, /wd or /watchdog, depending on what other addons are installed in your system (/wd conflicts with Wardrobe type addons). There are a number of options available on this screen, and I won't explain them all since they'll be changing quite soon.

The format strings (Target Format 1, Player Format 2, etc.) are what defines what is seen on each frame-- and can be customized per type of frame. Format strings are entered using a system of [tags]. A full listing of the tags is available in the readme.txt file within WatchDog.

Discussion for this addon can be found here: http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...6299#post16299

Hehe, I just use the default party UI, and PerfectRaid *shrug*.

I won't call it dead, I just can't promise when it'll get done, if ever.

If you're looking at aguf, I'd suggest instead taking a look at Pitbull. Its what aguf could have been, but its still in development. He's also using WatchDog-like tags in the addon, so it may give you a familiar feel.

Sorry I don't have better news =/

I like the new mods, but with that is it safe to assume watchdog done? If it is that's cool. I think there's several that'd like to know for sure.

Last word on watch dog was that you were busy with other real life stuff, then there are two new mods.

Like I said, just curious more than anything. I love(d) watchdog, but aguf will be a suitable substitute.

I am sorry, i cannot assist you with that. All I know is that google is hiring in Zurich, Switzerland like hell. But that's maybe a bit too far from the US.
Anyway, wishing you the best

I'm currently using aguf as a substitute for watchdog. My biggest issue is I cannot, for the life of me get pet bars to show up where they were great in WD. In my 'normal' group the hunter regularly uses his pet to offtank and I consider his pet a 6th member of the group and heal the pet regualrly.

Looking forward to it.

Thanks Clad.

Re: Re: Loyally waiting....

I just wanna express my extreme gratitude. I have been using this stuff since back in the day when it was called CastParty. Clicque and Watchdog are, by far, my favorite mods. I recommend them all the time to my friends and guildmates; they are probably sick of me talking about it.

Anyway, I know it must be a chore to keep these things updated, but we all appreciate your work very much. After using your mods, I can't imagine playing WoW without them.
