OneBag3  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: v3.4.6
by: Kaelten [More]
OneBag3 is the latest in a long line of bag replacements for the default game bags that will combine all of your bags into one frame.

OneBag has a long history of minimalism and OneBag3 will continue to uphold the standard of easy of use and simplicity it's predecessors set. Like the earlier versions OneBag3 will continue to offer powerful options for those who wish to delve a little deeper.

Also in the vein of earlier iterations I've kept to the philosophy of doing as little work as possible, as a result the code base is very small, and most of it is in the OneCore library. As of the time of writing there are only 213 lines of code unique to OneBag3, and only 981 lines of code in OneCore itself. LoC is a horrible stat in general, but it's fun none the less, and I cheat horribly since I build off the powerful Ace3 libraries.

Features
* Combines all of your bags into one.
* Customizable number of columns
* Inherent support for addons that interact with the default bags
* Color coded slots by item rarity or bag type
* Will automatically open and close for you when visiting the auction house, bank, mailbox, merchant or when trading with another player.
* Allows only certain bags to be displayed, either by slot or type
* Custom bag bar which will highlight it's associated slots on mouseover. This highlighting can be locked in place by clicking.
* Customizable scale, background color, alpha, and more.
* Clean and powerful graphical configuration

Future Plans
* Reintroduce missing features that existed in OB2
* Reintroduce the plugin system from earlier in this beta. I had to remove it due to architectural issues.
* Release OneRing3, OneView3, and OneVault3

Bug Reports & Suggestions
Please report all bug reports to my tracker on WowAce.

I want to thank all the users who've been using OneBag for so long. I'm hoping not to leave the code on autopilot quite like I did once OB2 went stable, although it was nice to not have to touch it for almost two years.
* Contains a few globals cleanup to hopefully fix some very strange reports which must be add-on conflicts

Help With OneView

Kaelten has always had very useful mods my favorite being OneBag. I like many of you can't stand searching through all 12 of your bags to find an item.

EDIT: Just as I make a really long post about things, Kaelten releases a version that as far as I can tell works fine without modifications. Way to go WOOT!

There still seems to be missing references to the seventh bag though in various places in OneView.

OneView

I am still curious about the following:

From what I have seen in other forums is that Blizard has more item information being used now. For example with LootLink there were 4 things Telo saved so that the item could be linked in chat at a later time. Now he has to save 8 or something like that, potentially Making OneView save and/or gather information wrong, and that could be why it's telling me that I am now comparing a number with a string.

New LootLink Style:
["Handful of Copper Bolts"] = {
["i"] = "4359:0:0:0:0:0:0:1315946608",
["x"] = 1,
["c"] = "ffffffff",
["t"] = "Handful of Copper Bolts•",
["d"] = "bi0•ty5•",
["s"] = 0,
},

Old LootLink Style:

["Handful of Copper Bolts"] = {
["c"] = "ffffffff",
["t"] = "Handful of Copper Bolts•",
["i"] = "4359:0:0:0",
["x"] = 1,
["p"] = 12,
["s"] = "2 3 0",
["d"] = "bi0•ty5•bu5875•",
},

Some of my saved .lua for OneView looks like this

["e12"] = "item:20682:0:0:0",
["04"] = "item:8766:0:0:0,19",
["87"] = "item:10720:0:0:0,1",

Does OneView read all 8 things, and only saves what it needs to save on file space? Do you think that saving this space will be a good idea after TBC is live? It might be better to use all 8 things now in order to avoid major changes in the future.

I see $parentInventoryInfo1 to 4 and $parentBankInfo1 to 4, why only 4?

Gratz again, and thanks for the updates, I really was missing having OneView the most!

OneBank

I just purchased the 7th bank slot (available since patch2.0) and got this error:

[2006/12/08 17:56:49-49-x1]: OneBank\OneBank.lua:113: AceHook-2.1: There is a stale hook for "PurchaseSlot" can't hook or reactivate.

7th bank bag is not visible in OneBank.

I see you cannot use OneView to drag items to trade or sell them. However, it is the only one that can have a hotkey assigned. Any chance on either letting bag items be dragged from OneView (preferred), or giving OneBag a hotkey or at least a /onebag open or something? =)

Much appreciated!

BC version

Any chance of you making it compatible with TBC beta?

It kills me to use default bags!

I get the following error when I start, and there is no OneView Button. If I renew them in Fubar then it works but I can't select an other char.

Very handy addon!

I really like how OneBag helps me keep things organized, and further how OneView and OneBank lets me see what all my characters have without having to jump around too much. I do a lot of auction house business over a few different characters, so it can be messy and hard to keep track of what one character has, let alone 3 or 4.

Because I like this addon so much, I've officially included it in the Easy Gold Guide, because it saves you time, and less time spent making money is more time playing!

Really nice bag addon finally. But unfortunatelly missing two things. First, can you make the number of columns start with 4 and not 5, so for some of use that are used to having 4 this is not a problem

And second, for hunters, i don't really wanna show my quiver when i open the bags, which you have enabled, but if i then press on by quiver on the bag bar (let's say orginal bag bar from blizzard ui) the whole bag opens up instead of just the quiver (cus when you go buy arrows you wanna know how many slots are there to fill).

Hope you can accomodate those 2 things, and keep up the good work.

Tip Buddy Error

Although my previous version of OneBag 2.0 did not have this error (2.0.6026), the most recent download (2.0.9615) causes an error with Tip Buddy. The error occurs just after I open the OneBag Menu as soon as I hover the mouse over any of the menu items. The exact text of the error message follows:

Interface/AddOns/TipBuddy/TipBuddy.lua:1891: attempt to concatenate a nil value

Clicking "Okay" will clear the error until I attempt to hover over another menu item (at which point it returns). This error does not appear to impede the function of the OneBag Menu options (i.e., I can still select options and make changes as normal if I ignore the box until I'm done).

Visiting the TipBuddy forums led me to belive that you may not be properly defining some aspect of your tooltips for the menu items. The author of TipBuddy indicated that, where past versions couldn't handle undefined tooltip values (as opposed to a "no tooltip" value), the present version handles them by creating a tooltip first and then inserting the value afterwards. The result is, with the new version of Tip Buddy, I now get an empty tooltip above the OneBag window while browsing menu options. Since reinstalling the older version of OneBag eliminates the error entirely, there may be some small change you can effect on the current version to bring it back to full functionality with Tip Buddy.

Hmm

There is still issues with the icons not showing up for the bag items sometimes. In order for them to show you have to over your mouse over then close and open the bag again. I think it's an issue with the refreshing of the bags.

Also could you add the ability to prevent the bags from poping up on certain occasions that a user specifies. Like at a trade npc , auction house, etc...
