Yet another fishing support add-on.

Support thread: Fishing Buddy

Features:
- 'Fish Watcher' lets you see the fish you've caught here before (or
the fish that you've caught in the current session)
- Display your current skill level and the time since you started fishing
- Choose your fishing outfit and change into it easily
- Support for automatically adding a lure to your fishing pole
- Full Titan Panel support
- myAddOns support
- Preliminary support for tracking 'cycle fish' such as the Nightfin
Snapper so you know when to go looking for them

Example commands:
/fishingbuddy or /fb
toggle the display of the Fishing Buddy window
/fb help
print the list of Fishing Buddy commands
/fb switch
wear your chosen fishing outfit, or change back

There are two actual add-ons -- the second one, OutfitDisplayFrame,
handles the pretty pane to set up your fishing outfit (it's next on
the list to be made into something more general that anyone can use).
The OutfitDisplayFrame addon can be safely left out if you have a
preferred equipment manager.

alt-clicking on an item in your outfit display will clear it

Silly stuff:
In addition to displaying the fishing bonus for your fishing outfit,
it also displays your 'style points' as inferred from Draznar's Fishing FAQ

Installation
------------

1. Unzip the 'FishingBuddyVERSION.zip' file
2. If your unzip program allows you to specify a location, then
unzip it into the "Interface/AddOns" folder contained in your
WoW folder (the location that WoW was installed)
3. If your unzip program doesn't let you specify the destination,
then find your WoW folder (where it was installed) and drag
the 'FishingBuddy' and 'OutfitDisplayFrame' folder into the
'Interface/AddOns' folder.

I have the exact same issue... And when I remove and put them back in the outfit window, it will work... Until the next time...

I have resorted to using Outfitter to active my fishing pole and hat...

I did that a few times, but it always seems to happen again later on when I log on again or whenever.

Yea I had this same issue, I solved it by removing the items from outfitter and putting them back in the slots again. This worked for me and may work for you. Good luck!

Prior to the release of 3.x, I'd used a small add-on to swap out my fishing gear and my weapons when i wanted to go fishing. But it broke with the WotLK release, and I decided to give your mod a try as a possible replacement. Wow. I can't believe the difference it makes in fishing. Now it's a mod I can't live without. :-D One thing I've noticed, however, is that it doesn't seem to like my Strong Fishing Pole. I regularly need to open the paper doll and re-add the pole to get the mod to swap gear properly. I haven't tried any other non-standard poles as I haven't gotten any to check, so I don't know if it's just a quirk with the mod or if it's the pole itself. It doesn't generate any error codes, however; it just pops up the message that a piece of gear is missing, and the pole is red in the paper doll. If you need more info than that, let me know and I'll see what I can come up with. Other than this, I'm very impressed with the mod. Well done!

According to Bliz, the fact that my programmable double right click button was working was blind luck on their/my part. I programmed it just to take advantage of Fishing Buddy. One press of the button and I could cast, or catch and recast. Is there anyway that you can code something for that? I noticed you put in future.txt "Font/size selection for watcher window". So it's on your todo list but do you think you could give a quick how to on how I would go about changing it myself until you have it ready or isn't it that easy? Also, was wondering if you could possibly set up an option to make the Fish Watcher "Grow Up", instead of growing downward on the screen. This would really help me out since my UI is all custom setup. Keep up the amazing work!
