Button / ChatType Options:

Hide This Button - Hide the button for that chat type or channel by name.
Reply (Whisper) - Open whisper to the last person that whispered you.
Retell (Whisper) - Open whisper to the last person you whispered.
Set Binding By Name (Channel) - Select one of the 10 channel bindings to use for this channel (saved by name instead of by index).

ChatBar Options:
Large Buttons - Toggles larger size buttons.
Vertical Orienation - Toggles vertical/horrizontal bar via sliding.
Reverse Button Orienation - Toggles button order reversal via sliding
Text On Buttons - Toggles chattype abrev on/next to the buttons

Hide Addon Channels - Hide Sky, CTRA and CTA channel buttons
Hidden Buttons - Submenu for showing manually hidden buttons
Reset Position - Attaches the ChatBarFrame to above the ChatFrame1 tab
Reorder Channels - General, Trade, LocalDefense, LookingForGroup, WorldDefense, GuildRecruitment, others...

Bindings
There are now bindings available for the chat types and channels by index. Individual channels can also be set to bind by name, overriding a indexed binding of your choice.

Localizations:
English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Simplified and Traditional Chinese
(I only speak English. All other translations have been user submitted. So if you have updates or new translations let me know.)

User Submitted Skins
The skinning system is a bit unique because it has more layers than a normal button with full up/down specularity and shadow as well as flash/hover alpha and normal shaping graphic that are all translucent to allow for the buttons to correspond to the chat type's selected color for each button.

To add a new custom Skin drop its folder into the ChatBar folder, modify the ChatBar_AltArtDirs table in ChatBar.lua and append the new folder name, then add a CHATBAR_SKIN# variable to the end of the localization file for it's readable name. Then select it from the dropdown in game.

Comes with the following skins: Solid, Glass and Squares

Reset
If you lose the bar you can reset it with this script: /run ChatBar_Reset()

Yeah. That would make chating in different types of chat much faster, like when I'm trying to form a group or raid, going from /2 to /4 and then asking in /g and the then to /p and then back to /g and never have to leave the fingers from the letter zone of keyboard ( not needing to do [shift+7] or moving your hand over to the numpad for the [ / ] key and then rezoning my right on the keyboard ). I know this sounds like a lot of crying over nothing, the thing is just that I'm a slow typer and this kinda thing might help me a little.

I hope that you understand where I'm going with this

Re: WOWMATRIX

While I understand the annoyance at WOWMATRIX for sucking bandwidth, and I agree author information should have always been included and accessable, it does not change the facts.

BLIZZ addon developement rules require:

1) Add-ons must be free of charge.
a. All add-ons must be distributed free of charge.
b. Developers may not create "premium" versions of add-ons with additional for-pay features, charge money to download an add-on, charge for services related to the add-on, or otherwise require some form of monetary compensation to download or access an add-on.

Ui Policy

All add-ons must be distributed free of charge. Since Curse doesn't REQUIRE you to pay for their addon services, you are still able to download the addons free of charge, even with the Curse client, which is clearly well within the UI policy. If you want MORE FEATURES, then you pay. Besides the fact that a portion of the money that you pay for the premium features goes to the authors (and in my opinion you're probably the kind of person who demands everything free and doesn't give any sort of donation for these developers' time), Curse doesn't require you to pay to download addons. They are not violating anything Blizzard has set forth, so your argument is moot. Just because you're angry that the "conveinence" of the WoWMatrix client is gone doesn't mean you can pretend that legitimate persons are in violation of Blizz policies. Nothing is stopping you from downloading and installing your addons manually via Curse or WowInterface, or downloading your addons via the Curse client. Trust me, your laziness at not having an "update all" button is not going to win any friends in the addon community. When it comes down to it, you don't need any addons to play WoW, so if you're that upset about it, play vanilla WoW. You're paying BLIZZARD for their program, not anyone else, so the only business you can demand anything from reasonably is Blizzard Entertainment.

I'm sorry for the harshness but its people like you with your lazy "gimme gimme gimme" attitude that caused all this mess with WoWMatrix in the first place. Sure, I can understand that its annoying to change the way you update addons. I also understand that it is irritating to their users when Curse changed the way the client works, and you can no longer update in one click, but that is a convienence that they are not required to provide for you or anyone else. All addons on Curse and WoWInterface are available free of charge. Go ahead and contact a lawyer, see that I'm correct. How annoying do you think it is for a developer to spend all their free time, their WoW time, developing an addon and distributing it, fixing bugs, adding features, only to find out at the end of the month there's 500 downloads and 2 $5 donations? Why don't you go to your job, bust your ass, and at the end of the week they can pay you 1% of your normal paycheck. Sound fair? Right. Its not. Get off your high horse.

Trust me, the addon community doesn't need any more people whining about the free things they are getting. Didn't anyone ever teach you people to not look a gift horse in the mouth?

And good luck with the viruses, keyloggers, and severely outdated addons you'll get from WoWMatrix; I'm sure you'll deserve it.

So if someone comes up with a better client (i.e. WOWMATRIX) for people to use to update their addons, they have every right in the world to do it. If you block them you are violating 1) a. Free Distribution.

In addition the Curse Client, with its Pay for version clearly violates the underlined section of 1) b. no charges for additional services (updating).

Don't be shocked when Blizz invokes rule 8.

8) Blizzard Entertainment has the right to disable add-on functionality as it sees fit.
To maintain the integrity World of Warcraft and ensure the best possible gaming experience for our players, Blizzard Entertainment reserves the right to disable any add-on functionality within World of Warcraft at its sole discretion. For more information...

Not to me. Neither last big patch or yesterday mini patch didn't affect this addon. Try to see if there isn't other addon affecting this one. Had this kind of problem with other addons. 3 of my addons didn't work because I didn't get the latest versions for totaly different other 3 addons.

cool mod here, only reason i dont use it, is because there is not "scale" option in the ui for this addon.

My ui is very small and I cannot see anything this little guy does.

Any chance you can add a scale option? to make it larger?

Adding the possibility to chose witch keys/mouse combination to use for enter/leave channels would be nice. Maybe middle button or double click for join/leaving a channel if you decide to make it a fixed combination. The other things i said were just some that I thought would maybe add some nice functionality. The thing that I really need is the join/leave without removing the button.

I'm not really interested in adding scroll buttons. I suggest you use a scroll wheel addon like my ChatScroll.

I also think right click is traditional for menus and would rather not change that. I could make button3 or a shift click or double click leave the channel tho.

As for the emote menu I find the built in one useless. If you want one with a few more options I'd suggest EmoteMenu, EmoteFu or TitanEmoteMenu. I'm not really interested in maintaining something like that within ChatBar, but I might be willing to add an optional button for opening the menu if I could use a library that generated the emote menu.

Okay, made some proper testing, and I came down to this conclusion:
Most of the functionality exists, but small additions:
- maybe add a "check" to main menu witch allows buttons associated with channels to remain in the button list, and change the appearance of the buttons when entering/leaving a channel.
- also add the option to use right mouse click to enter/leave a channel instead of opening a menu. Maybe open the menu with mouse 3? Or maybe make it configurable from the main menu.
- would also be nice to have the option to add scroll up/down jump down buttons to the button list, but in the same time to remove the default ones. This would save a lot of space.

Sorry didn't check correctly, I had installed an older version, witch had some small problems but now is working really nice. Really good addon
Thank You
