Overview
Bagnon merges all of your bags into three windows: inventory, bank and guild bank. Beyond the basic all-in-one functionality, Bagnon also provides:
  • Flash Find searching (see syntax)
  • Coloring based on quality, being a quest or unusable item
  • Ability to view the inventory & bank of any character, from anywhere *
  • Highly customizable
  • Databroker support

* - Requires the player to login and visit the bank once at each character

Never actually knew about that file
I think its because I tend to use the <Include> tag instead of toc entries.
Looks like there's some redundant loading I can get rid of.

Whenever there's a new patch, your item cache data resets. So, any items I saved links for are going to be corrupted until you either log onto that character or see that item in game.

weird looking alt inv/bank

Two screenshots, one of my alt's Inventory and one of my alt's Bank items.

I'm on characterX viewing characterY's stuff.

Please notice the empty slots shown with Quantity numbers in them. I think stuff is actually IN those slots on that toon.





i'm using:

Just changed over to Bagnon from OneBag... my compliments... very smooth looking... and works like a charm.
I have one request. When visitng, Bank, Vendors, Mailbox, etc... the bags open automaticly... but for some reason they do not open automaticly when visitng the Auciton House. I use Auctioneer, so I am not sure if Bagnon does this already and may have a conficlt with Auctioneer... or if the feature is just not there. Also, the bags do not close automaticly when leaving AH, Bank, Mailbox, Vendor. Is there a command to enable that option?

P.S. have you ever thought about extending this to the character frame? Know what your alts are wearing, know exactly what that spec was, know their skill level.

thanks for the info! sounds like some good stuff comin down the pipeline

i did a little more poking around on .20mb/sec mem jump when hovering cursor on the bags. here's what i'm using:
goodtip (tooltips follow cursor)
ctbarmod
ctbottombar (these 2 from ct let u scale/break/move/hide elements of the main bar)
auctioneer
enchantrix
stubby
informant
kcitems (all but the auction folder)
mybags

i still get the .20mb/sec mem jump without bagnon, using mybags. i really dont knwo why hovering over teh bags would give that much memory usage (probably a rogue OnUpdate somewhere in an add) because you dont really even need a tooltip over those bags. if i hover mouse over ANYTHIGN ELSE evenitems IN the bag, i dont get this much mem usage.

sry for thinking it was a bagnon issue, i apologize! thanks for putting up with posters like me who jump to conclusions =)

like the previous poster w/ctra, i too need my inv/bank frames ON TOP of *most* elements. the slider feature is good, but doesn't work. sliding it up to HIGH prevents double-clicking the title area and selecting your other character's inv/bank. the menu comes up behind the inventory frame, breaking the menu :O same for options.
That's actually a bug I fixed, but I haven't released the version here yet.

i really prefer to set options via slash command too. the slider bars go so fast and make fine tuning difficult.
I actually figured that out when I made the maximum amount of rows such a big number. I'll probably replace the slider with a text box. I'm trying to avoid slash commands whenever I can, though.

memory usage. i know that moving an item from one slot to another will use ui memory. this mod seems to keep it low (thank you!) at .04mb per move.

however, mousing over items (shakign mouse back & forth over items) uses up LOADS of memory. i cant tell if this is due to kcitems populating the tooltip for the item, or this mod doing something. i havent seen an issue when using kcitems + mybags though.

another HUGE memory leak happens when opening the frame and hovering your mouse over any of your backpacks. memory jumps by .20mb (1/5th megabyte) every second. big mem leak there.
I think there's actually been an increase in memory when moving an item around in your bag. Fairly sure it happened around the time I added bags to Bagnon.

KC_Items is at least part of the reason you're getting a big increase in memory usage when hovering over a bag or mousing over items rapidly. There was an issue earlier with simply hovering over an item using large amounts of memory with KC_Items enabled. I'll take a look at MyBags' tooltip code and see what the author did differently.

1.10 adds dynamic frames, and that should reduce Bagnon's total memory usage.

i love the "spacing" slider too (but would prefer a slash command! ) - ive always foudn it annoying that no other mods allow you to adjust the spacing. sometimes when i try to move an item, i'll inadvertently grab the frame and whip it across teh screen rofl. i know i can lock the frame, but i do move it during raids because the new CTRA puts it's frames on the Highest level, overlapping the inventory. >.<
I'll check it again, but the most recent version on here should have changed Bagnon to only move if you drag the title portion of the frame.

last but not least, i dont like the mouse-over box on the title. a little drop-down menu like mybags would be much better. there are already too many tooltips in the game, and we dont need even more just to get a drop down list :P just an annoyance to me i guess.
The reason I don't use a dropdown menu and instead have the doubleclick menu for character selection is because just including the code for a dropdown menu added a pretty big chunk to the total memory usage of Bagnon; I think it was around 3mb. The good news is that I'll add the ability to disable the help tooltips

i do like the integration with kcitems too - very well done. i didn't even have to log onto my chars to "see" their inventory/bank items upon first use. awesome!

Just needs a minimap icon (to trigger "/bgn bank"), and it'll be #1 in my book. However, I did notice that the options box will get overlapped by my action bars, and will get cut off the screen sometimes, requiring the bag window to be unlocked, and dragged upwards some in order to access all of the options. This could be fixed by making the options window moveable, or by making the anchoring position better.

Despide those minor flaws, this addon is the best bag/bank addon I've seen yet! Keep up the good work.
