PerfectRaid  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: v50001-1.0.0
by: Cladhaire [More]
PerfectRaid is a whole new look on raid frames, giving you as much information as possible in an easily recognizable format that's easy to place. Show as much or as little as you're interested in, and completely customize using the each options editor.

Use /praid to open the configuration GUI.
  1. A preliminary frame editor is in game. It can be kind of complex at the moment, but it comes with a nice set of defaults for you to use.
  2. Added a pre-made buff dropdown to the buff editor screen

Known issue with scaling, turn off the scaling in Hacks. I will have a new version out soon, which resolves issues lke this.

Thanks for your answer Clad. I had no idea those were comment lines. I don't know this code. It appears I have now commented out the part where I could switch it from 2 columns to 1 column, correct? I don't know how to fix this, but nevermind I can wait until you have this mod finished to use it again.
I'm hoping you have it done before my guild starts doing level 70 raids!

Re: Re: by group?

Cladhaire,

I appreciate the effort you're putting in dealing with all of us and working on making PerfectRaid as perfect as you want it to be.

In quite a few of your replies on this forum (which I arrived here via the link on the wowinterface PerfectRaid page), you politely ask users to check the FAQ. Your signature has no direct link to such an FAQ, and when I click the link to your portal, I see an FAQ link under the "Menu" subsection, but it only provides the following information:

http://cladhaire.wowinterface.com/portal.php?id=8&a=faq

Would it be possible to provide a direct link to the FAQ for PerfectRaid, whether on the wowinterface download page for PerfectRaid, or in your signature? This, I believe, would help ease the frustration of tracking down this elusive page. Thank you for your patience.

If you look, the comment lines have moved, which is whats important. The FAQ is in my forum on this site, the only stickied post.. it looks like I was wrong, and this wasn't in there.

In PerfectRaid.lua, you'll see a section that looks like this:

Code:
--[[
	PRHeader1:ClearAllPoints()
	self:RestorePosition("PRHeader1")
	PRHeader2:SetPoint("TOP", PRHeader1, "BOTTOM", 0, -20)
	PRHeader3:SetPoint("TOP", PRHeader2, "BOTTOM", 0, -20)
	PRHeader4:SetPoint("TOP", PRHeader3, "BOTTOM", 0, -20)
	PRHeader5:SetPoint("TOPLEFT", PRHeader1, "TOPRIGHT", 10, 0)
	PRHeader6:SetPoint("TOP", PRHeader5, "BOTTOM", 0, -20)
	PRHeader7:SetPoint("TOP", PRHeader6, "BOTTOM", 0, -20)
	PRHeader8:SetPoint("TOP", PRHeader7, "BOTTOM", 0, -20)
--]]

	self.db.profile.headers["PRHeaderColumn"] = setmetatable({}, {__index=self.headerDefaults})
	local column = self:CreateRaidFrame("PRHeaderColumn", nil, "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8", nil)
	column:Hide()
	column:SetAttribute("groupBy", "CLASS")
	column:SetAttribute("groupingOrder", "WARRIOR,PRIEST,DRUID,SHAMAN,PALADIN,MAGE,ROGUE,WARLOCK,HUNTER")
	column:SetAttribute("maxColumns", 2)

	column:SetAttribute("columnSpacing", 10)
	column:SetAttribute("columnAnchorPoint", "LEFT")
	self:RestorePosition("PRHeaderColumn")
	column:Show()
Change that to:

Code:
	PRHeader1:ClearAllPoints()
	self:RestorePosition("PRHeader1")
	PRHeader2:SetPoint("TOP", PRHeader1, "BOTTOM", 0, -20)
	PRHeader3:SetPoint("TOP", PRHeader2, "BOTTOM", 0, -20)

	PRHeader6:SetPoint("TOP", PRHeader5, "BOTTOM", 0, -20)
	PRHeader7:SetPoint("TOP", PRHeader6, "BOTTOM", 0, -20)

The patch notes refer to a single-column by-class mode, but I can't figure out how to activate it. That happens to be exactly how I preferred to play with the old version.

Thanks for your dedicated work! You've produced a fabulous program, and you do a great job of staying in touch with your users.

ps. I tried to follow the link to another thread down below that professed to explain this, but the link doesn't work.
Check my forum, I believe its in the FAQ under "Cladhaire's Addons". Its just two numbers that need to be changed.
