PerfectRaid  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v50001-1.0.0
by: Cladhaire [More]

PerfectRaid is a whole new look on raid frames, giving you as much information as possible in an easily recognizable format that's easy to place. Show as much or as little as you're interested in, and completely customize using the each options editor.

Use /praid to open the configuration GUI.

  1. A preliminary frame editor is in game. It can be kind of complex at the moment, but it comes with a nice set of defaults for you to use.
  2. Added a pre-made buff dropdown to the buff editor screen

Those guildies were using the default Blizzard UI, I can guarantee. I've had the same problem for the 30 minutes I wasn't using a unit frames mod (was troubleshooting some errors). Guess what: it has something to do with their *cough* wonderful new combat locks on frames. Have them download an addon . . . any addon . . . that's not the default target frame and they'll see their targets again.

Unhappy I couldn't see the groups

I installed the beta r77 file and actually had to uninstall it to go back to the previous version . For some reason the frames were sorted by class and not by group and call me stupid but I couldn't find an option in the config panel to reorder them the frames pane was blank. The bars were also obnoxiously colored the class colors and i rather liked them the green color. Is there anyway to change this?

They shouldn't conflict with anything, and it appears you are testing them just fine (I test in AV most of the time). You may want to disable/enable some addons to figure out if you can reproduce the behavior with a minimal case.

Nothing is bound to LeftClick in Clique, most of the functions I have are: Shift-LeftClick, Ctrl-Leftclick, Alt-LeftClick.

I have not taken the full advantage of Clique, though I like it so much that I will use it more often. It's very simple to click on a raid frame member simply to buff/debuff.

What information can I provide to find out if either one has conflicts? Would disabling Clique help by testing PerfectRaid?

Also, I'm only testing this in AV, since it's the easiest to get 40 people. If that is not the test case, please let me know, too. It does not work in any BGs. The frames will show up, but cannot be targetted.

Thanks again!

p.s. Sorry to cause all this trouble.

I'm new to PerfectRaid, and I am very unfamiliar with the interface.

With beta-r77, I was able to see the raid frame (default 2 columns), and able to move it around.

However, when I click on the bars, the target frame did not show up. I could see their status, but could not target players to heal/de-curse/buff.

Am I reading this wrong? Is PerfectRaid a read-only addon?

I had a similar problem with OzRaid, being that it was viewable and not targetable.

Can someone please help explain?

Thanks!

p.s. I do have Clique installed, so if this is conflicting with PerfectRaid, please let me know also.

How do I get the colum to go butt up again the right side of the screen? It won't let me go any further. Which is kind of annoying.

Any idea what I was experiencing?
Known issue with scaling, turn off the scaling in Hacks. I will have a new version out soon, which resolves issues lke this.

Thanks for your answer Clad. I had no idea those were comment lines. I don't know this code. It appears I have now commented out the part where I could switch it from 2 columns to 1 column, correct? I don't know how to fix this, but nevermind I can wait until you have this mod finished to use it again.
I'm hoping you have it done before my guild starts doing level 70 raids!

Re: Re: by group?

Cladhaire,

I appreciate the effort you're putting in dealing with all of us and working on making PerfectRaid as perfect as you want it to be.

In quite a few of your replies on this forum (which I arrived here via the link on the wowinterface PerfectRaid page), you politely ask users to check the FAQ. Your signature has no direct link to such an FAQ, and when I click the link to your portal, I see an FAQ link under the "Menu" subsection, but it only provides the following information:

http://cladhaire.wowinterface.com/portal.php?id=8&a=faq

Would it be possible to provide a direct link to the FAQ for PerfectRaid, whether on the wowinterface download page for PerfectRaid, or in your signature? This, I believe, would help ease the frustration of tracking down this elusive page. Thank you for your patience.

If you look, the comment lines have moved, which is whats important. The FAQ is in my forum on this site, the only stickied post.. it looks like I was wrong, and this wasn't in there.
