PerfectRaid  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v50001-1.0.0
by: Cladhaire [More]

PerfectRaid is a whole new look on raid frames, giving you as much information as possible in an easily recognizable format that's easy to place. Show as much or as little as you're interested in, and completely customize using the each options editor.

Use /praid to open the configuration GUI.

  1. A preliminary frame editor is in game. It can be kind of complex at the moment, but it comes with a nice set of defaults for you to use.
  2. Added a pre-made buff dropdown to the buff editor screen

Yes, eventually, but there's no way for me to support it at the moment. Blizzard's code executes under a vacuum and isn't subject to the same restrictions we have. As bad as it sounds, for right now the answer will be to just pull that frame out when you need to heal pets, and I'll ensure thats its click-castable.

Backdrop issue

Hi Cladhaire,

Dunno if these "issues" have already been highlighted, but I can't find them in GoogleCode or here.

2 little problems when Backdrop is activated :
- It remains visible even when player has leaved the raid.
- When a ReloadUI is performed, the Backdrop is not shown until /praid is called.

I'm using a French client with others addons (Perl, Bongos, oRA2, ...).
By the way, great mod, keep developping it

PS : just an additional question if you have a few minutes to spend ...
I'm making a very little addon that plays a sound when a curable debuff has landed on Self/Party/Raid.
For some "cleaning" stuff, I have to know when the player leave a Party or leave a Raid.
Since PerfectRaid is showing/hiding itself when joining/leaving a Raid, can you tell me how do you detect such states ?
Tks

When I do a /reloadui everything seems to come back to normal. Then when more people enter the raid and others leave some more may not show up in random groups. PRaid does not show the new players and just has blanks.

I guess I seem to be having issues with praid refreshing players showing up on the raid frames? Any thoughts?

Thanks again for the hard work.
It seems to be an issue with switching or joining while in combat, primarily.

This still happens in 2.2-PRE.
its fixed for the next release, btw =)

Hi,

First, a big thank you. Been missing this something chronic since the patch killed the old one, and it's nice to have it back.

Secondly, I'd like to back cjd on his comments about the screen freezes. Just finished a BWL raid where we had periods where a lot of people were disconnecting or logging back in and it played havoc with my screen freezing for a second or two every time.

Thanks again, and looking forward to more Raid-frame goodness!

Robinna.

So glad to finally have this back. Thank you thank you thank you.

I had to switch to single column layout (method outlined previously - manual edit) mid-raid last night because magic debuffs in the left column were being hidden under the right column name text. Fortunately it was just on Luci but it was still rough.

I also had to drop range check to twice a second - more often seemed to cause event lag across the board.

Adding/removing users from the raid or users signing back in after d/c with this enabled is causing a one to three second screen freeze for me. Disconnects mid-fight (unfortunately, we had a couple) were interesting, though only lost the MT once because of that (bad timing sucks - that one was on Sulfuron). Some of this may be our server (unfortunately hard to tell) - we've recently been hitting huge queues to log in quite early in the evening and lag has been abnormally high, and this all started about the same time I updated this mod.

Seems to like to eat up memory and not give it back without a manual garbage-collection every so often (PerformanceFu gives this easily). From 35mb to 50 before I would kick it off, sometimes a couple hours of raiding.

Miss the option to display mana bars, but this stuff always takes time.

Once again, thank you for your work.
