PerfectRaid  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: v50001-1.0.0
by: Cladhaire [More]
PerfectRaid is a whole new look on raid frames, giving you as much information as possible in an easily recognizable format that's easy to place. Show as much or as little as you're interested in, and completely customize using the each options editor.

Use /praid to open the configuration GUI.
  1. A preliminary frame editor is in game. It can be kind of complex at the moment, but it comes with a nice set of defaults for you to use.
  2. Added a pre-made buff dropdown to the buff editor screen

What is "M"

Hello,

When I play my 42 Druid and enter battlegrounds (I haven't seen this on my 60 lock), there's an "M" displayed right of the frames next to 80% of the raid members. It's not "Ma" as in magic debuff, but a single "M" that I couldn't find any logic why it displays it. I couldn't find info about in the docs, so I'm posting here. Anyone got a clue? (or am I simply stupid and not seeing something)

Thanks

Replying to myself. Nevermind me, "M" means target needs MotW. Just looked into 'PerfectRaidLocals.lua' and found out there's indicators for all kinds of stuff, PoF, Renew, Shields, etc etc.

Slash commands

I know the /slash commands above are out dated, but reading them I'm wondering why they're no longer in use? I could really use some of the options!

Also, how do you set up /praid sort custom?

Cladhaire, I can't tell how happy I am that you are back to developing perfect raid again. It has such a clean look and great approach to organizing large raid groups. After using the older version, I was pleased with the new look and additions you have made. Notification of the fort buff is great as well as highlight feature.

I used it tonight in BWL and it did not take long to get used to it once again. Some things I am looking forward to seeing is some separation in the groups. I got the feeling that the separator option was meant for that, but I could not see any difference when using it. Also, would it be possible to make the players that are out of range more dim? Maybe a scale for how dim a player wants to make it A greater contrast would be nice when your trying to click and heal (also a great benefit in the BGs, since everyone is so spread out).

Over all, the new improvements are great. I am still hoping for that GUI interface, but first things first.

Thanks again for the hard work!

Health deficits work fine, if you dont' mess with the default font.

About the only thing I could possibly ask for is some way to have a background behind the frames just so I can notice them more. I could use CT Viewport to do it, but eh. Being able to seperate groups would also be cool.

Sorry if these are actually doable with it as it is now, kinda new to UIs, been using the regular UI and CTwindows since release, was tired of seeing only like 30% of the screen as a healer.
Backdrop will be added back in soon.

Because I rewrote this version from scrap, which means all option handlers need to be rewritten from scratch. Most if not all of them are already there.

/praid sort custom mygroup warrior healers
/praid sort custom odd even
/praid sort custom mygroup myside

But the sorting is goign to change, I dont' like the way it works.

i frequently get this error when trying to toggle sorting via hotkey:

Error: [string "PRTOGGLESORT"]:2: attempt to index global `p' (a number value)

i could not figure out, when it happens and when not. it seems somewhat random, sry.
with slash command it always works fine.

i have just one stupid question.....

How can i see HoTs ?? I play a Druid, it's very important to know if a target has a HoT or not. Especially since i'm also using Clique along with Perfect Raid and Swiftmend.

And even on my Priest i would like to know if a Target already has a HoT on it.

Bringing back the Filter Option would be freaking nice, too

(if anything is already possible, excuse me, and tell me how to, please)

thx

Will you be adding back the /select commands? I find is very difficult to use the vertical layout especially since now there is no gap between the things you are sorting by. Is there any reason that the seperator value does not have any effect on the distance between things?

I didn't realize the keybindings were still in there.. they shouldn't be (or they need to be recoded).

vertical offset is fixed locally, i'll likely be uploading a new versino very soon.
